2 Men Stoned To Death In Iran, 3rd Escapes

Posted on January 13, 2009

One of the Lefts’ favorite countries, who they keep telling us do not do barbaric things like stonings, uh, well, does.

TEHRAN, Iran – Two men convicted of adultery were stoned to death in northeastern Iran last month but a third convicted man managed to escape, Iran’s judiciary spokesman said Tuesday.

Ali Reza Jamshidi said the stoning took place in the city of Mashhad in late December but did not provide the names of the convicted men.

Under Iran’s Islamic law, adultery is punishable by stoning, but such sentences are rare. International human rights groups have long criticized stoning in Iran as a cruel form of punishment.

Under Islamic law, the third guy who escaped is free now. There is no comment from the other two. Maybe Obama could reconsider his “no preconditions” pledge now? Doubtful.

Isn’t it revealing that American feminists are completley silent in defending the women under the oppressions of Islam, and in some cases Islam is even defended and apologized for by them?

Isn’t it awakening that homosexual activists are so wrapped up in their own agenda of forcing their agenda on Americans throught the courts and schools that they can’t take the time to speak out loudly about the Islamic regimes that execute people for their championed lifestyle?

Isn’t it something that so many liberals are actively fighting against liberating others from governments that deny them liberty?

Jay…what are you talking about, dude? I have NEVER heard an American feminist defend or apologize for Islam. I’ve NEVER heard a gay person defend Iran. I’ve NEVER heard a liberal defend Iran, Islam, Sharia courts or anything you seem to think is a foregone conclusion. Liberals have historically championed individual rights of humanity. It has always been the case that those who want to rule over people were “Conservative” in their respective cultures. Sheesh! Read a book!

Once again, the people at Stop the ACLU are erecting straw men just to knock them down.

    Let’s analyze the statements here:

“One of the Lefts’ favorite countries”
False. “The Left” does not find favor in a theocracy like Iran.
“who they keep telling us do not do barbaric things like stonings, uh, well, does”
False. “The Left” fully acknowledges and condemns the barbaric practice of stoning in Iran.
“Under Islamic law, the third guy who escaped is free now. There is no comment from the other two. Maybe Obama could reconsider his “no preconditions” pledge now? Doubtful.”
How should the actions of Iranian civilians in stoning people affect international diplomacy in dealing with separate issues?
