Looks like the underhanded, ill bred, uncouth left is at it again. E! Crum has a great piece explaining the situation…

Liberal Fascist Sock Puppets Busted at TeamSarah, Geoffry Dunn at HuffingtonPost Owes An Apology

Both The Weekly Standard and Victor Morton at Inside Blogitics – a weekly column devoted to blog politics in the Plugged-In section of the Washington Times – picked up this story about online posers, well, posing as conservative Team Sarah site members – “sock puppets” – and then deliberately posting nasty, racist comments in order to make the whole site and its founders look bad.

And, to add insult to injury, Geoffrey Dunn of the HuffingtonPost jumped in the fray and alleged that the TeamSarah site was “ugly” in its practice of “mean-spirited bigotry” and “nastiness.” Seems to me it would be appropriate for Mr. Dunn to post a retraction and an apology. (I don’t see one yet.)

The administrators at TeamSarah and Bill Collier over at The Freedom Congress have ample facts and evidence, including screen shots, user IDs and related IP addresses, proving that the unsavory onslaught of the “provocateurs” was planned and deliberate. And, of course, Team Sarah has banned the evil infiltrators and done their best to clean things up so the site can remain, as it was intended, respectful and decent.

If it makes anyone at these two conservative sites feel any better, you know you’re doing something right when liberal fascist sock puppets (hereby dubbed LFSPs) target you for destruction. It’s a wicked ground game out there, and the wicked will not rest until the sky splits open and Truth comes down.

But The Freedom Congress’s Bill Collier says he isn’t willing to just write this off. He’s wants to find ways to fight – and possibly prosecute – this kind of targeted, slanderous smearing, not only because he is outraged by the personal attacks against him by anonymous cyber-jerks, but also because “the tactic of [spreading] disinformation designed to prevent conservatives from having a free and fair opportunity to assemble together and speak freely…is as much a civil rights issue as an interesting story about cyber thuggery.”

Collier has my sympathy and support, as do all conservatives who are unfairly attacked in an attempt to censor their speech and/or smear their reputations. I’d love to see these kinds of hackers brought to justice in some sort of slander/libel court case. Stay tuned!

    Is there nothing that can be done about spirited mouthpieces like Keith Obermann, Rackel Maddow. No one seems to want to defend Sarah Palin, Laura Bush and other very decent people to the non stop, mina bird attacks from Obermann and others. I pass MSNBC as fast as I can but when I stop even very briefly it is inevitably a mean spirited attack on people that are either no longer runnning for anything or some trivial issue. It is total overkill on their part. Rachel MadCow is really disgusting to listen to.

    I will never forget how that marble mouthed bully Chris Mathews was so rude to Michelle Malkin. I wish there was a public effort to contact the companies that sponsor this trash on MSNBC.

    Just an FYI that the racist comments came before the troll invasion. It was actually a response to the HuffPo article.

    The timeline is wrong.

    Team Sarah may be right about a lot of trolls coming onto the site, but I recently say one of my favorite and very conservative members of Team Sarah booted off the site.

    All of her posts were great! The only ¨problem¨ I saw was that she challenged the religious nuts of the site to be more fair minded.

    Not sure how long Team Sarah can last if they think that fellow conservatives are the ennemy.

    Team Sarah as an organization is well intentioned. I supported Sarah Palin and still do. I think the Governor is a very viable conservative candidate for any office.

    That being said, I think the moderators and some of the group think masquerading as conservatism at Team Sarah is way off base. I have read numerous posts by people who feel that conservatism is essentially policy driven. I agree with that and consider any viable, sound, conservative a plus to the conservative movement. Certain members at team Sarah however seem to feel that only if you subscribe to their brand of Christian conservatism, well, you are not only not a true conservative but also not a good Christian.

    I have seen good members who spoke intelligently and wonderfully for conservatism thrown off the Team Sarah site for daring to disagree with this small groups of zealots. If it were only other forum posters I could say, “Who cares?”, but it seem the moderators must share that zealotry or else those good conservatives would still be there. This is the position I find myself in…Banned.

    I don’t think they represent modern conservatism. They are stuck in the dark ages where only an Evangelical Christian should dare call themselves conservative of Republican. I am thus far glad to see that Gov. Palin herself is keeping the site at arm’s length.

    T E A M S A R A H !…………………..
    What I have to say may be of no importance to you.But I’ll say it anyway…The invasion upon Team Sarah,has been ongoing since I became a member in mid-October.The recent attacks are from a new group of uneducated teenagers and 20 somethings.I have been to their caves and have read nothing but Racists and anti-Jewish and Christian comments.In many of their posts they reference those offending websites of hatred.
    ~~~
    As for Jenny and Robert who have posted here,
    There are two sides to every story.You know why you and your friend were banned, and I think it’s only fitting that you should have included those reasons in your comments.I have recorded your remarks from Team Sarah for posterity.
    ~~~
    Team Sarah is a diverse group, and we have members from every walk of life.I have yet to see Zealots,Bigots,Racists posting as regular members.What I have seen is, when someone new does post something offensive it is properly removed along with that person and the horse they rode in on.
    ~~~~~~~~
    In closing I would like to invite all True Conservatives to join Team Sarah.It has become a central base, or portal of knowledge…. This has been achieved because of it’s dedicated members searching the internet to provide factual information,backed up by links…Opinions posted to those threads are insightful and honest.
    Team Sarah is the Think Tank of the Common Conservative and will always be considered a threat.
    Thank You for your time…. American Dog
    As a member, and moderator of a news group at Team Sarah I can tell you the deal with the cyber-terrorism at our site, as well as the Huffpo story. The terrorists hit, and within days, Huffpo was running THEIR posts.
    The N-word was used, as well as other racial epitaphs.
    We don’t put up with that. People get banned.
    Once the plot was uncovered, and they players found out, they trying something else, coming in late at night, and posting the most extreme pornography they could all over the site.
    Hate is not something we traffic in over at Team Sarah. We are too busy figuring out the best way to promote Sarah in a positive way.
    That, and keep on top of news stories, and challenging smears and outright lies about the Governor.
    We have nearly 65,000 members, and are growing at a clip of 2000-2500 a week!
    I’m a lifelong conservative, of the Ronald Reagan variety, as well as a political junkie. But never in my life have I gotten this excited about a politician. She generates as much excitement and coverage as Obama, and actually has the resume and experience to back it up.
    2012 can’t come fast enough!
    Robert, as someone who reads almost every forum post, I have to call BS.
    There are rarely any real arguments over religion. Spirited discussions, yes. Arguments no.
    There are many, many groups of people who split up and do there thing as well. And every major ethnicity and religion can be found somewhere on the site.
    Folks that want to talk religion, no matter the flavor, have plenty of opportunity to do this.
    And the only people who have had their membership revoked are those who have broken the code of conduct. Period.
    “Looks like the underhanded, ill bred, uncouth left is at it again.”
    What a perfect description.
    Thankfully I was asleep when the porno was being posted by these “ill bred” brats.
    Though there was one terrible picture that was missed, with reporting, it was erased pronto.
    I guess the “uncouth left” lives in fear day in and day out…why else spend this much time on a conservative website after their man won?
    I’m trying to feel sorry for such people who must be living in fear of the kind of decency that Governor Palin exhibts.
    I’ll let you know if I manage to muster any sympathy.
    really enjoyed the story, I am a pre election memeber and have really enjoyed the growth. So many different people you expect more problems but the only problems are brought in from the outside. I think there is a group for every religion from Muslim to Athiest represented. All “57″ states have reps and people from Austilia to Europe.
    Besides the left invasions we have had serious discussions about the upcomming rule on the 20th. These are not attacks but more like information to fellow Americans
    By this site having the respectfullness to our endeavors you will see me around here aiding yours
    Robert-Roberrta, pfffft-he was a big trouble maker . He even tried to get me expelled because I didnt want him posting hate on my private page
    I am late to the party here, but it’s not just “infiltrators” that get banned from TeamSarah.org. They ban anyone, and delete the posts, of anyone who delivers even a mild rebuke of “anything Sarah”. When my neighbor, a then serious Sarah Palin supporter, criticized Sarah Palin’s decision to resign as Alaska’s Governor, and POLITELY wouldn’t back down from saying the resignation would be seen as an invitation to criticize Palin, my friend was promptly banned, and all of her posts deleted.
    Now, to join TeamSarah, in addition to the usual internet website/forum sign-up forms to fill in on-line, they demand a contact phone number, and you’re not approved for entry until you agree to a phone interview. Worse yet, no one may read the forums without a membership – no approved login credentials, no reading of the forums allowed. Go ahead – try it yourselves.
    Regardless of your political leanings, this smacks of Un-American behavior.
