And yet, once again, I hear the sheriff in “No Country for Old Men”, to his deputy, after reading aloud some insanity from the newspaper.

Well, what would you expect from a Chief Executive with no executive experience, a Commander in Chief with no military experience? Men without resumes are good selections for men without resumes.

Well, since we have lawyers writing economic legislation, this is just the logical extension of that policy. In Washington, one doesn’t need experience, just a silver tongue.

Yeah, I know I want a clean break from policies that — y’know — worked.

“Because Panetta once read a CIA report, he is now fully qualified to lead the CIA? That sounds like the same sort of logic… or lack thereof… that Obama used to say he himself had foreign policy experience because he once lived in Indonesia as a child!”

Or when he said he was qualified to be president because he was *running* for president.
