Diane Feinstein: Leon Panetta Terrible Pick

You have to respect the fact that Diane is facing reality, unlike so many leading Democrats, and, interestingly, CNN goes with a word in a headline one rarely sees in relation to a Democrat: “slams”

Feinstein slams Obama CIA head pick

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the Senate’s incoming Intelligence committee chair, slammed President-elect Barack Obama’s choice of Leon Panetta as director of the CIA Monday.

“I was not informed about the selection of Leon Panetta to be the CIA Director. I know nothing about this, other than what I’ve read,” Feinstein said in a statement. “My position has consistently been that I believe the Agency is best-served by having an intelligence professional in charge at this time.”

Don’t worry, Di, you are getting Change Clintonista’s Can Be Re-employed By.

Jay Rockefeller doesn’t think much of the pick, either.

Funniest comment in the thread

President-elect Obama demonstrated his judgment, intelligence, and political skills in running the best election campaign in history, defeating the Clinton machine and rising above everything the Republicans threw at him (or made up about him).

He’s now applying his intelligence and skills, in consultation with knowledgeable advisers, to the decisions he has to make. Everyone from Dianne Feinstein to ignorant bloggers are second-guessing his decisions, thinking they know better, before he’s even taken office.

Rather than bicker over every move Obama makes, let’s give him our support at this critical time in history and wait to see how he and his staff go about running the country.

I suspect that most of the critical comments on these blogs originate with Republican talking points or Republican hostility toward Democrats in general. We have become a very angry, divided country over the last eight years.

Something Democrats/Progressives/Surrender Monkeys never gave to Bush. Dissent will no longer be considered patriotic.

    Obama is completely clueless.
This country elected a guy who has no experience at anything except going to college on an affirmative action basis.
Getting elected doesn’t substitute for experience, competence nor judgement.
Any lib care to give me an example of Obama’s competence?? Any achievments?
I suppose you could call his dirty land deal with Rezko and accomplishment.
The media has made a cartoon character our President. Advertising for Obama 24/7 got him elected.
The guy isn’t ready to run a McDonalds franchise. What would lead anyone to believe he is capable of running anything. Has he run anything before?

Who would of thought? Dianne actually questioning the “one”. Ain’t it amazing?
Based on the fact that the woman couldn’t find her ass with both hads.
Leon Panetta? I thought that was one of those botique bread outfits. Cause his head is full of the same thing, Air.
I should think it amusing, one traitor taking on another traitor. Could be funny. then it could be a disaster for the rest of us.

Funny, I didn’t really think the country had become all that divided – until this past year when it was decided Barry would “reunite” us. We didn’t have a problem (that couldn’t be dealt with) until he decided it was going to be a massive effort to mend the rift. You know…. the rift he and his bots created, widened, and braced up so it would stay that way?

Awww, I better shut up. My racism is showing.
