There was a story in the New York City papers recently about how a woman was giving birth, she called her doctor who said it was too early to go to the hospital. Unfortunately, the baby disagreed. She called 911, and firefighters arrived to take her to the hospital. By then the baby was starting to show its head, and it was tangled in the umbilical cord. The firefighters were able to untangle the baby from the cord, deliver the kid and then take kid and mother to the hospital. Good Christmas/New Year's story.
