Poor Vetting from Team Obama Strikes Twice in One Day

Yet more for fodder for Obama’s attempt to make a world record of scandals involving his presidency and cabinet before the inaugaration. Bill Richardson withdrew his nomination today after a fishy whiff was in the breeze. Now we’ve got another fishy smell higher up the ladder.

WASHINGTON: A developer in New York state donated $100,000 to former President Bill Clinton’s foundation in November 2004, around the same time that Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton helped secure millions of dollars in federal assistance for the businessman’s mall project.

Hillary Clinton helped enact legislation allowing the developer, Robert Congel, to use tax-exempt bonds to help finance the construction of the Destiny USA entertainment and shopping complex, an expansion of the Carousel Center in Syracuse.

She also helped secure a provision in a highway bill that set aside $5 million for Destiny USA roadway construction.

The bill with the tax-free bonds provision became law in October 2004, weeks before the donation, and the highway bill with the set-aside became law in August 2005, about nine months after the donation.

Congel and Philippe Reines, a spokesman for Hillary Clinton, both said there was no connection between his donation and her legislative work on his project’s behalf. Reines said the senator had supported the expansion of Carousel mall “purely as part of her unwavering commitment to improving upstate New York’s struggling economy, and nothing more.”

    The state of Hawaii would rather be known as the birthplace of the 44th President of the United States.

    CHALLENGE (with answer), CAN ANYONE PROVE THIS WRONG?:–

    1. Constitution Article II requires USA President to be “natural born citizen”.

    2. BHO’s website admits his dad was Kenyan/British, not American, citizen when BHO was born.

    3. BHO is therefore not a “natural born citizen” (irrespective of Hawaiian birth or whether he may be a 14th Amendment “citizen” of USA) — confirmed in the Senate’s own McCain qualification resolution (that both parents must be citizens of USA) co-authored by BHO.

    4. Supreme Court has already docketed two upcoming conferences, 1/9/09 and 1/16/09 — between dates Congress counts electoral votes (1/8/09) and Presidential inauguration (1/20/09) — to address Berg Case and fashion relief on BHO’s eligibility to be President.

    5. Since the fact of BHO’s dad being Kenyan/British not in dispute, Supreme Court rules on Summary Judgment to enjoin BHO’s inauguration as President.

    6. Therefore, BHO is not inaugurated as President.

    7. Vice President Elect Biden is inaugurated Acting President under the 20th Amendment to serve until new President is determined — the procedure for which determination to be set out by Congress and/or the Supreme Court so long as in conformance with the Constitution.

    ANSWER TO ABOVE CHALLENGE

    IF, when counting the electoral votes, Congress WERE TO find by 1/8/09 that Obama — not being an Article II “natural born citizen” (father Kenyan/British, not American) — fails to qualify as President, Biden would become the full fledged President under 3 USC 19 (free to pick his own VP such as Hillary) AND THERE WOULD BE NO NEED FOR DEFERRAL TO THE SUPREME COURT to enjoin Obama’s inauguration relegating Biden to being merely Acting President under the 20th Amendment until a new President were duly determined.

    (The preferable choice, at least for the Democrats, would seem obvious.)

At some point you gotta accept that this man was chosen by a majority of Americans and that is what our democracy is all about. If you can’t accept that, then you got no ground left to preach anything. We go to the polls, we vote, whoever wins the majority vote, that person becomes the leader of this country. It was that way the last time, the same all the way back to our founding fathers. Hating individuals because they’re Democrats or Black or Catholic or Jewish or libertarian or conservative is sick and debilitating. In the end that kind of mentality loses out. It always has. Spending your life waiting for the aha-told-you-so moment merely destroys your health and poisons your private moments. No matter how much bile you cough up here, Obama isn’t reading it and it isn’t going to change squat with what goes on on the Hill. So, may be foks ought to start thinking of some truly positive stuff they can do with their time, something constructive not hateful or destructive. Hate is not Christian and it makes no sense to list one million Christian Societies on your site if your heart is so filled with hate. Hate takes days off your god-given life. Besides, if you believe all that Christian stuff, well, hate also sends you straight to Hell. Ain’t no amount of prayer can save you there. You gotta drop the hate and live better.

    What amazes me me is that anyone out there in government is investigating anything even remotely tied to Obama considering that the Republicans from McCain and Palin on down are not jumping all over this stuff-you know the Democrats wouldn’t hesitate!

    1. Is it that the PTB ultimately always stick together?
    2. Do the Republicans figure that the Dems will simply hang themselves?
    3. Do the Republicans think that since the MSM is in the tank for Obama/Democrats they can’t publicize their views and that
    4. due to the ignorance of a simple majority of Americans it won’t matter anyway?
    5. Did the Republicans see this all coming and are just sitting back and enjoying the show?
    6. Are the Republicans concerned that a weakened POTUS is dangerous to America?

    Difficult to find an honest politician in Washington after being there a few years. They seem to find a way to fill up their purse and at the same time taking taxpayer’s dollars as a salary.

For all your touted knowlege of the constitution, you seem to be unaware that the constitution does not define “natural born citizen” anywhere. Not in the original document, not in any ammendment, till this day. Nowhere! That leaves us with only an inference. There sre two kinds of Citizen: “natural born”, and “naturalized”. A naturalized citizen is someone who became a citizen *after* birth, not at birth, through numerous procedures that the constitution and acts of congress have stipulated over time. Effectively, we’re returned to the 14th Ammendment which states that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” Two kinds of citizen: persons born or naturalized in the United States. If you are born in the United States, you are automatically a “born” citizen, not naturalized. And that’s irrespective of the status or nationality of your parents as long as they are residents of the United States “carrying out legitimate business” other than representing the diplomatic interests of another country. Period. In Obama’s case, not only was he born in the United States (Hawaii being a state of the Union and not a territory), and not only was his mother and maternal grand=parents bona-fide citizens, his father was also a legal resident of the United States carrying out legitimate business and not the diplomatic representative of a foreign country. So, he is as bona-fide and natural-born a citizen as I suppose you consider yourself. Here’s the bigger blow to your deluded dream, even if both of Obama’s parents were foreigners living legally in the United States, he would still be a natural-born citizen. And here’s one to devastate you, buddy: even if both of Obama’s parents were illegal immigrants residing in this country, and he was born here as indeed he was, there is no precedent in which such a child has been denied citizenship and since such a child would not be considered “naturalized”, that is, citizen of another country at birth, he would still be a bona-fide “natural-born” citizen. At least until there is a ruling or act of Congress to the contrary. If you haven’t died from a heart attack yet, there is no need to because we’re safe, Ann Stanley Durnham, Obama’s mother was a natural born citizen. His father was a legitimate resident of the United States.And he qualifies as a “person born…in the United States”, not naturalized. You’ll survive his presidency, I guarantee it. It would be too sad if you choked on all that stuff inside because, well, you lose if you do.

As far as Hillary and Bill’s potential problems with donations as mentioned in this article–isn’t it now clear to all those Hillary lovers why Obama could not pick her as VP? There is simply too much taint (true or not) from the Clinton era. Hillary would have brought that ticket down if she were VP; Obama is a very smart man and the American people will benefit from his wisdom and boy after 8 years of GWB, do we need some help.

During the 2000 Presidential campaign, we were told by the MSM and the Left that grades were VERY important when evaluating a candidate. Geroge Bush received some C’s and therefore he had to be rejected! Just 8 years later, none of that seemed to matter. Obama went to Harvard and grades were nothing. Bush went to Yale AND Harvard but his grades DID matter. Consistent much?

    Mo, White Men created the world in which you live. Medicine, rocket ships to the moon, real literature, Mozart, electricity, cars, food that isn’t eaten raw. That’s all us. If you want to live like Africans, Africa is waiting for you. There is not much medicine, and life expectancy in around 45 on average. I invite you to hate the White Man and support the African…..from Africa. While you live amongst us, you are a guest. Try to act like it.     the republicans dominating for almost a decade allowed us to be in the current financial straits this country is in. clinton handed over a surplus when he left office. i remember my mother being able to even open a lucrative business.

    i’ve received responses from many about it – in the 90’s, they could pick, choose, and refuse jobs. now… not so much. the ecomony is the way it is because of poor laedership and direction. removing regulatory stipulations/etc did not help much. \

    couldnt have only been myself, so i will say We saw it all around where unqualified individuals received mortagages for homes. it was a downward spiral. poor credit resulted in the auto industry not having the sales they needed to continue in the way they have – poor and non-competative structure/etc.

    the democrats have a chance now to perhaps change things. i would hope they succeed for every’s sake.

    everyone has the potential to be good or evil. i do not believe all people are racist – whether its against their own or an opposite race of people.

    you can look at history and see that every people had their great civilization and control to some degree. for a time, it has been the white american.

    i do agree now that we see more of a melting pot with so many races coming together – either individually, or by offspring. we are all here, and with diversity being abundant, we must make the best of it to function well within society; coming upon someone outside of your race is inevitable.

    as for bho, i do not believe he would have made it to senate/etc without being a citizen. i do not refute his credentials; intelligence is not something you can fake.

    whether for or against him, he will be president. and whether we like it or not, there is not much any of us can do about it.

    From Article II, Section 1 of the US Constitution:

    “No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President…”

    For all of the people up in arms defending Obama on the birth certificate/transcript issue, I would like to post some basic questions, and suggest my answers to them. I hope you take the time to read this and not just write it off.

    Why the phrase “natural born citizen”? Why not just “born citizen”, or “citizen”? As far as I have been able to figure out through my research, it is because all three of those terms are distinct. Sure, they overlap, but there are some key differences.

    To be a citizen, you either must be born on US soil (not even to US citizen parents) per the 14th Amendment, born to at least one US citizen parent abroad who meets certain qualifications, or legally immigrate through processes created by Congress. Note that one can become a citizen at any point in their life, not just at birth.

    To be a born citizen, you must have held citizenship within the United States your entire life. Once again, this can come from birth on US soil, or even abroad if your parents meet certain legal requirements set up by congress.

    As for Natural Born Citizen, the key word here is “natural”. I don’t think the framers were discriminating against those birthed by C-section, but were trying to instill that the citizenship cannot be established by laws. It must be that this is the nature of your birth. When it comes to citizenship and my research on this issue, I have found that the term “natural born citizen” was used specifically to prevent those who held allegiances, past or current, to other nations from taking the highest office in the nation. Obama has admitted that until he was 18 years old, he was both an American citizen and a British subject, or held dual citizenship. Dual citizenship is a status that must be set up by laws, and thus, is not exactly what would be called “natural”.

    To further bolster this argument, I would like you to note that the framers made a point to exclude themselves as “natural born citizens” with the phrase “or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution”. Most of the framers were born in the colonies, though some were indeed immigrants to them. However, regardless of the location of their birth, they all held the status as citizens of another nation previously, that being England. Once again, they held loyalty to another nation at some point in their life. This is why they had to make a special exemption for themselves.

But regarding POTUS eligibility, I am like you in that: IF Obama was born in Hawaii then he was DEFINITELY born with dual citizenship (and that is indisputable; and was on factcheck.org), but as such does he qualify as a “natural born citizen”? I don’t think so but I don’t know. Does the Constitution allow for anyone other than a “natural born citizen” to be president? Senator Mel Martinez wrote me a letter explaining that “the Supreme Court said it isnt their job to enforce the Constituion” and he added “That is the job of the people…The people vetted Obama and his eligibility by voting him in”. I was stunned. It was almost like he was hinting that “we dont think Obama is eligible but tough __.”

Regarding where Obama was born, I think the issue is his grandmother claims she witnessed his birth in Kenya,two other family members give 2 different hospitals in Hawaii, and there were at one time 2 non-matching birth certificates posted on Obama’s site and factcheck.org, and the fact that Obama has spent nearly a million dollars to prevent viewing of the original birth cert., and even if he was born in Hawaii he was born a dual citizen and there is question as to whether that negates his eligibility. Many things were skated over throughout this campaign. I dont hate Obama at all; how I feel about the media’s behavior is a different story. Anyone about to be president should be under some kind of scrutiny; did you complain about the excessive scrutiny Palin was under?     Obama is a probably a citizen but he is probably not a natural-born citizen as required for a US President in Article two of the constitution. This is why he will not release his birth certificate (the document he released is not a birth certificate), his school records, etc.

    In light of the answer to the above question, why do we act as if race, our feelings, the faults or mistakes of others change the issue?

    There is provision for any law not good to be changed, but to say we shouldn’t abide by the law leads to chaos.

How many people out there voted for Obama just to prove they were not racist? the polls done by the New York Times indicate that it was about 30% of his voters.     Obama won, he is the president now, we should be happy. Yet too many of us are still angry. It is funny how the only thing you feel you can deny him the presidency on is if his FATHER was a naturalized citizen. His father does not need to be. I know reading is not a strong suit of most right wing nut jobs but here is what the actual constitution says , “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. ” Having been born in Hawaii WELL after Hawaii was a state means by default he is eligible.

    Here are some irrefutable facts. Obama spent over twenty years under a pastor that propogated hate toward whites, supported left-wing radicals, and traveled to meet with enemy leaders of the U.S. and yet he did’nt know it. He had an ongoing relationship with a terrorist for several years and didn’t know it. His campaign was launched at this man’s house. He was involved with close associations with dozens of corrupt Chicago politians but never had any knowledge of the corruption. His pathway into Harvard was aided by a man who is the “right hand” man to a questionable Muslim power broker but Obama didn’t know or doesn’t remember this.
    We have elected a man who at the very least has spent his life in a fog as to the situation and people surrounding him. Now he will represent the U.S. in a world full of dangerous men and women who have the destruction of this nation embedded in their hearts. How can Obama understand and address issues that he has failed to see most of his life?

    I don’t know who it was that said the Republicans have been in control for thirty years, I would highly suggest that they go back and read their history. As for the mortgage collapse, I was in the industry for 18 years, this all started in 1993 people!! Get a clue. NO ONE party is responsible for this mess, the incumbents are, both republican and democrats because they are too comfortable in their positions and think they are the knowers of all.
    I didn’t vote for Obama, not because he’s black, but because he is a far left liberal who I disagree with on policy. Those who yell racist seem to be more intolerant themselves than those who oppose BHO. And it’s not his birth certificate that has been disclosed, it a a “live birth” document, two totally different things and the live birth document does not have a sequence number that matches any on file at the hospital where he was born. Take that for what you may, but there has been NO birth certificate disclosed as of this date and there are two federal court cases where his lawyers have refused at this point to supply a birth certificate. The other two federal court cases have been thrown out

    With regard to Halliburton, it is also the only company in the United States that does what it does, the other two are a Russian company and a French company. People should know their facts on this site before they start getting obnoxious, there is no way, I as a soldier, would want the French or the Russians in charge of the rebuilding. Have you been to either country lately, they can’t even fix their own countries.

    fellow conservatives! There they go, glumly shuffling
    along, depressed by the
    election aftermath. Not me. I’m virtually euphoric.
    Don’t get me wrong. I’m
    not thrilled with America ’s flirtation with neo socialism. But there’s a massive silver lining in those magical clouds that lofted
    Barak Obama to the Presidency. For today, without a shred of intellectually legitimate
    opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America : The Era of
    White Guilt is
    over.

    This seemingly
    impossible event occurred because the vast majority of white Americans didn’t
    give a fluff about skin color, and enthusiastically
    pulled the voting lever
    for a black man. Not just any black man. A very liberal black man who spent
    his early career race-hustling banks, praying in a racist
    church for 20 years, and actively worked with America-hating domestic
    terrorists. Wow! Some
    resume! Yet they made Barak Obama their leader.
    Therefore, as of Nov 4th, 2008, white guilt is dead.

    For over a century, the millstone of white guilt hung
    around our necks,
    retribution for slave-owning predecessors. In the 60s,
    American liberals
    began yanking that millstone while sticking a fork in the
    eye of black Americans, exacerbating the racial divide to extort a
    socialist solution. But
    if a black man can become President, exactly what significant barrier is left? The election of Barak Obama absolutely destroys the entire validation of liberal white guilt. The dragon is hereby slain.

    So today, I’m feeling a little “uppity,” if you will. From this day forward, my tolerance level for having my skin color
    hustled is now exactly ZERO. And it’s time to clean house. No more Reverend Wright’s “God Damn America ,” Al Sharpton’s Church of Perpetual Victimization , or Jesse
    Jackson’s rainbow racism. Cornell West? You’re a fraud. Go home. All those
    “black studies” programs that taught kids to
    hate whitey? You must now thank Whitey. And I want that on the final.

    Congressional Black Caucus? Irrelevant. Maxine Waters? Shut up. ACORN? Outlawed.
    Black Panthers? Go home and pet your kitty. Black separatists? Find another nation that offers better dreams. Go ahead. I’m
    waiting.

    Gangsta rappers? Start praising America . Begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. And please.no more ebonics. Speak English,
    and who knows where you might end up? Oh, yeah.pull up your pants. Your underwear is
    showing. You look stupid.

    To those Eurosnots who forged entire careers hating America ? I’m still waiting for the first black French President.

    And let me offer an equal opportunity whupping. I’ve always despised lazy
    white people. Now, I can talk smack about lazy black people. You’re poor because you quit school, did drugs, had three kids with
    three different fathers, and refuse to work. So when you plop your Colt 45-swilling, Oprah watchin’ butt on the couch and

    In fact, Obama’s ascension created a gargantuan irony. How can you sell class
    envy and American unfairness when you and your black wife went to Ivy League
    schools, got high-paying jobs, became millionaires, bought a mansion, and got
    elected President? How unfair is that??? Now, Like a delicious O’Henry tale,
    Obama’s spread-the-wealth campaign rendered itself moot by it’s own victory!
    America is officially a meritocracy. Obama’s election has validated American conservatism!

    So, listen carefully. Wham!!!

    That’s the sound of my foot kicking the door shut on the era of white guilt. The rites
    have been muttered, the carcass lowered, dirt shoveled, and tombstone
    erected. White guilt is dead and buried.

    However, despite my glee, there’s apparently one small, rabid bastion of American
    racism remaining. Black Americans voted 96% for Barak Obama. Hmmm. In a color-blind world, shouldn’t that be 50-50? Tonight,
    every black person should ask forgiveness for their apparent racism and prejudice towards white people. Maybe it’s time to start spreading the guilt around.

I really do not know how we Whites have covered up the existance of the great early-20th century space program AASA. Tell me again about the Uhuru moon missions? I seem to have forgotten all about those brave early spacewalkers.

    Sir, why was Singapore able to eradicate malaria after colonialism, but Nyasaland (Malawi) still cannot manage to get it done with greater foreign aid?

    Why has life expectancy for BLACK AFRICANS in Zimbabwe dropped from nearly 70 years under White Rule to just 35 years under Robert Mugabe?

    Right from the horse’s mouth: Hawaii Issued Birth Certificates to Foreign Born Residents:
    A. From Hawaii’s official Department of Health, Vital Records webpage (http://hawaii.gov/health/vital-records/vital-records/index.html): “Amended certificates of birth may be prepared and filed with the Department of Health, as provided by law, for 1) a person born in Hawaii who already has a birth certificate filed with the Department of Health or 2) a PERSON BORN IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY” (applies to adopted children).
    B. A parent may register an in-state birth in lieu of certification by a hospital of birth under HRS 338-5.
    C. Hawaiian law expressly provides for registration of out-of-state births under HRS 338-17.8. A foreign birth presumably would have been recorded by the American consular of the country of birth, and presumably that would be reflected on the Hawaiian birth certificate.

    No one in Florida has been able to cast a legitimate vote for president in 12 years. Wake up America. Our country is dying. We are in that proverbial Golden Hour. I am sick of this heartbreak. We all wanted a Black President. We all wanted a Woman President. We all wanted an American President, or most of us, surely. We got jack. Hillary is probably just as dirty as every other democrat, I know. But, you did not have the right to conspire to steal my vote again. Once more, nobody was elected. It was a farce, a force, a ..Well it was just the sort of election to make you want to swallow a bullet.
