Son of Hamas Leader Converts to Christianity and Speaks Out on Hamas
Posted on January 2, 2009
JONATHAN HUNT: Why, after 25 years, did you change?
MOSAB HASSAN YOUSEF: I believe that all those walls that Islam built for the last 1,400 years are not existing (sic) anymore. They don’t recognize this. They built those walls and made people ignorant because they’re afraid. They didn’t want people to discuss anything about the reality of Islam, about the big questions of Islam and they asked their followers, the Muslims, ‘Don’t ask about those certain questions.’
But now, people have media. If the father closes the door for his daughter not to leave the house, she’s going to go behind her computer and travel the world. So people easily can get information, knowledge, searching (sic) engines, so it’s very, very available for everybody to study about Islam, about other religions. Not from the Islam point of view, but from other points of view.
A little more…
JONATHAN HUNT: Do you believe that Israel can ever strike a peace deal with Hamas?
MOSAB HASSAN YOUSEF: There is no chance. Is there any chance for fire to co-exist with the water? There is no chance. Hamas can play politics for 10 years, 15 years; but ask any one of Hamas’ leaders, ‘Okay, what’s going to happen after that? Are you just going to live and co-exist with Israel forever?’ The answer is going to be no … unless they want to do something against the Koran. But it’s their ideology and they can’t just say ‘We’re not going to do it.’ So there is no chance. It’s not about Israel, it’s not about Hamas: it’s about both ideologies. There is no chance.
Make sure to tune in and watch the entire thing tomorrow. Per FOX, ”Escape from Hamas” airs Sat (1/3) at 10pm, and repeats at 1am and 4am, EST, and Sun at 9pm, with repeats at 12 midnight, 2am, EST.

Wow. Powerful stuff.
And welcome home, brother!
Beautiful, when will the Sons and Daughters of the Isrealites leaders convert to Christianity, despite far right mobs in America , Judaism is radical even worst than Islam. So stop trumpeting the conversion of his faith, it is a personal thing.
IDIKO, you’re nuts, plain and simply nuts. When was the last time the Jews strapped bomb vests on their children to slaughter other people’s children? When was the last time the Jews flew planes into buildings to kill thousands? In spite of a history of oppression, the reaction of the Jews has been to educate and build, not destroy. They’ve suffered and suffered all the while contributing to the world’s body of knowledge. The Islamists, having contributed nothing (except for the preservation of the documents of Western civilization when they over-ran countries in the ancient days), have proceeded to take what the Jews and Christians have invented/made and used it to kill.
I’m glad that this young man has converted to Christianity. I can’t help but wondering if he will revert if Hamas cleans up its act. I would love to see the whole interview to understand how it is he converted. If he is attending a church with other Arabs, then his conversion is paper thin because the Christian Arabs are as bad as Hamas, Hezbollah, and Fatah. They provide cover for all these in the hope that they will not be destroyed. Vain hope. Look what’s happening to them in Bethlehen.
SilentWatcher – last I knew Mosab Yousef attends a Christian church in San Diego, CA. His conversion is real, unfortunately, it may make him a “marked” man with hard-line Muslims such as Hamas.
Becki:
If he is killed just about anywhere it will be by a mentally derangced person. That the person is a Muslim is irrelevent.
Renouncing Hamas is one thing, but going from believing in Santa Claus to believing in the Tooth Fairy damages this poor guy’s credibility.
Welcome, each of you.
love others, forgive all. find holiness. open heart to truth. find peace. see love in others. smile.

Excellent story and well documented. Thank you Fox News for being willing to broadcast the story. We are aware through Joel Rosenberg that many, many thousands of Muslems are coming to Christ through Jesus personally speaking to them in these last days! God is doing so many wonderful things just like this story illustrates!
I just heard Yousef’s story and I thought to myself that this must be is a very brave man because he could stand up in front of his enemies and state his beliefs. I think Yousef has found the real truth at the moment of his enlightenment: “To love thy enemy”. Basic moral values seem to be the same in all religions, but the ultimate test is to ask: Is there any hatred in anything that I do? Can I love all humanity even if they are not from my religion or race? Can you “do unto others as you would have them do unto you?” Can you care and love a stranger, be a good neighbor (Samaritan) and wish him well? With this simple philosophy we could change a world of hate into a world of love. The question is can we ever attain it and with it attain peace, love and the kingdom of heaven here on earth. We must all find the courage that Yousef has found to stand up for these basic truths before we can see any positive change in this world. It’s too easy to make fun of these simple ideas rather than do the work to try to change
Mosab’s story is a personal story of the peace he found in Christ. I admire his courage and his outreach to others; in fact, he has more courage by Saying that Islam is the problem, but he also repeated that one, a true Christian of course, should His/her enemies, which of course many proclaimed Christians aren’t willing to do. Notice too that while the Media is focusing why one or two Muslims have been mistreated somewhere, sometime in our great country, very few are focusing on the faith of these people that found peace and calm whether in a new faith or a new life. I’m myself a convert to
Christianity from Islam; I have an American wife and a child and hoped that I would leave a peaceful life here in the US, but I rather faced rejection as my application to stay here had been declined because I was in the hospital watching over my pregnant wife who had a very difficult pregnancy, so when I requested to register late under the NSEERS, I faced rejection for four years now, and have been applying for eight years, but I’m not angry at anybody; I’m so happy that I met my wife and that she helped me find the truth; I also completed my graduate studies; we’re applying again, and I’m very happy and rested because I already found what I wanted, “the Love of Jesus”, so even if I get deported and killed, I’m not losing, instead I feel sorry for others who don’t see the life, the happiness that they can find in Christ. Hosab cheers to you and may Jesus continue to bless and protect now and ever.
All glory to God. Very proud to hear how God has changed his life. May God protect him from those who will wish to kill him and may his family come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ amen. One request I have is don’t be afraid brother Yousuf. Whenever you get an opportunity please give your testimony so many Muslims and others may accept Jesus Christ as their personal saviour. May God continue to bless you and use you more in the coming days so you could witness to others boldly.
Your brother in Christ
A.K. Thomas
Wow! What an incredible testimony! I am truly humbled that Mosab Hassan Yousef is standing up for the Cross even after witnessing the kind of torturing that he and/or family members may experience firsthand over his conversion.
Most of us Americans only have to put up with petty insults.
Awesome story! Praise be to God in the highest. May the angel of the Lord encamp around brother Joseph and protect him from those who wish to harm him.
Well, this is one but I haven’t heard the media talking about 20 thousands christian Americans converting to Islam each year. I am personally Muslim and have my peace in the “true” Islam. And watch out, this man didn’t convert to christian except because he needed to travel to the U.S., but I am sure he will regret his decision after he reads the all Bible, and will come back to Islam. The problem with Islam that media give a very bad idea about it.
How can we put Mosab Yousef in touch with Reza Aslan?
