A second Emanuel is heading for the White House.
Ezekiel J. Emanuel, a prominent bioethicist at the National Institutes of Health–and the brother of incoming White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel–will serve as a senior counselor at the White House Office of Management and Budget on health policy, two Democratic officials said Thursday.
Cough*nepotism*cough.
Can you imagine if GWB had brought on a relative in such a manner. The Left’s enmity would have over-flowed, and they would have ramped their seething factor to at least an 8 (remember, a 1 on the seething scale is their normal constant outrage.) Here, eh.
BTW, what the hell is a bioethicist? Is that actually a real job, or, is it one of those made up positions that Liberals constantly come up with so they do not really have to work for a living, but, can spread their lunacy and political viewpoints? Ready the Wikipedia entry, sounds more like the job of “performance artist.” Someone who has no skills in actual art, so, they fake it.

Not surprising that a rebublican would not understand a job that involves ethics.
I suppose that being against all medical research is what republicans call ethics, so you don’t need anyone to study it.

Medical research is fine. What you folks on the left want to do reminds me more of the 3rd Reich.

We have been moving toward a path of American AGGRESSION in foriegn countries since W got elected. Or did you sleep thru the “no WMD’s in Iraq thing? Maybe folks on the far right forgot that we were founded on principles of FREEDOM, of religious expression, and our right to live the way we WANT to, and other forgotten rights. The hawks were so happy during W’s REIGN, that they forgot to read American history. The Pilgrims at Plymouth came to enjoy freedom from discrimination for their beliefs. It is ironic that the same country that was founded on the belief in FREEDOM of expression, has now become a bastion for those who wish to control the minds of others thru the force of law.
Conservatives must be soooo relieved that you guys finally have a new Democratic posterboy to pick on, after the embarrassing excuse of an administration your compassionate conservative brought us. Let’s not forget that Bush 43 is the DEFINITION of nepotism (and ironically, not the son daddy wanted to be President). Out of the thousands of hires that Barry-Boy (that’s what you’re going for isn’t it??) has to make, does it really come as a shock that there might be some relatives in the mix? Particularly considering that the Emanuel brothers (there’s a third one, who happens to be the inspiration for Ari on Entourage) aren’t exactly slackers. FURTHERMORE, if the federal government is going to nationalize everything (which I can sincerely say would be the first step towards Armageddon) it’s because they have no other choice at this point, considering that W managed to screw up just about every aspect of American life. Don’t get me wrong, I like Bush quite a bit and frankly I’m a bit grateful that he has given Obama such a tremendous opportunity to make some changes (at this point a monkey could run this country better). Did I just call Barry a monkey?? OOPS!
Nepotism? are you for real? or you just don’t understand the meaning of the word? I’m waiting to see Obama’s family and friends in the payroll doing jobs they are not qualified for before we talk about nepotism. For people that works close to the President you pick people that IS close to the President

BTW, since the far left and the far right are upset with Obama because of his picks then I guess he’s right in the middle.
America is tired of the far right trying to define what the American Values are. They are values for sure, and I respect that.. they are just not the “American Values” anymore. Live with it.
