Global Warming Hits Southwest

While Al Gore screams that the polar ice caps will be melted within 5 years, and AP demands totalitarian measures, back in the real world, it keeps getting colder.
In Las Vegas:
A rare winter storm swept through Southern Nevada Wednesday, dumping the most snow on the valley in nearly three decades, grounding flights at the airport, forcing the closure of major highways and closing schools for today.
“This is the most snow we’ve had in Las Vegas in almost 30 years,” said Chris Stachelski, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
In balmy California:
Snow snarled major mountain highways and even dusted Malibu on Wednesday as a cold storm hit parts of California. … Styming thousands of commuters and travelers, snow shut Interstate 15 over 4,190-foot Cajon Pass east of Los Angeles and roads through the San Gabriel Mountains connecting metropolitan Los Angeles to the commuter suburbs of Palmdale and Lancaster in the high desert to the north.
Los Angeles commuters haven’t seen anything like it in 15 years. Even the San Diego area has been hit. It may be fun for snow boarders, but there is a downside:
Freeze warnings were issued for late Wednesday through Thursday morning for the Sacramento Valley, the northern San Joaquin Valley and the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta region, among others.
“A freeze warning means subfreezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation,” the NWS said.
Freeze warnings were also issued for north San Francisco Bay area valleys, and a combination of frost advisories and freeze warnings were issued for parts of southwestern California.
As humans have known since before we could talk, cold weather is a bigger problem than warm weather. Unfortunately, our cooling climate is real, whereas global warming is an increasingly preposterous farce.

If global warming is occurring the way Algore claims then somebody ‘esplain to me why the frostline has been consistently moving SOUTH for the past several decades here in Florida!
That is because Al is not a scientist. He is a former politian who now makes his money on carbon credits and global warming talks. The scary thing is that so many people are now making their living from this farce, I doubt it can be stopped.
The planet is cooling and cold is so much worse than warm.
There is only one complete and exact computer of global climate and that is the planet itself. The test (actually there have been many) that proves to be wrong the theory that added atmospheric carbon dioxide causes significant global warming, was run on the planet computer and the results are archived in the Vostok and EPICA ice cores. Records of these global average temperature anomalies and atmospheric carbon dioxide levels are widely available. Government and other credible data sources show that, repeatedly during the last and previous glacial periods, a temperature increasing trend changed to a decreasing trend with the atmospheric carbon dioxide level higher during the temperature down-trend than it had been when the temperature trend was increasing. This could not happen if atmospheric carbon dioxide level was a significant driver of average global temperature. Thus any action that is taken to reduce human produced carbon dioxide to reduce global warming is a mistake and puts freedom and prosperity at risk.

Snow in Vegas??
Praise Al Gore!!!
I’m so happy that most of the world has listened to him because we now see the end of global warming. All of Al Gore’s hard work has paid off. Why, things have gotten so good that global warming has completely reversed itself and it is now snowing in Las Vegas.
And just so you don’t think it is only Sin City that has been wonderfully blessed by Al Gore’s pious efforts, it has snowed in Houston, New Orleans, and Mississippi. (OK, technically it was only sleet in Mississippi).
The world has been told for the last few years that we are all going to be drowning under the antarctic ice melt, but this year is the coldest year in the last decade. Of course a look at the graph shows a scary comparison between the last 2 decades and the 1800’s. Well, there was this little thing called the “little ice age” that ended in the 1800’s, which caused lower than average temperatures.

Global warming is a scam – Just like the NYSE! Al Gore is an idiot.
Hey Al Gore! I planted over 40 trees this year – how ’bout some carbon credits? LOL.
If Gore’s an idiot, what does that make all the people that have not only fallen for his garbage but treat it as their religion? Watch for them to change their faith from the church of global warming to the church of climate change to the church of global cooling.
you are all idiots. there IS GLOBAL WARMING!!! global warming causes different meteorological phenomenoms such as STORMS, hurricanes, tornados, etc! it afects climate in every sense and changs the cycles.

Being dogmatic about an obvisious and transparent scam (global warming) will not save the earth. 650 world scientists have now confirmed the global warming scam. Please dont try to blame the extreme cold on global warming. Thats like trying to blame your pregnant girlfriends condition on El Nino.
Just accept the fact that Al Gore used you. Take the lesson and move on. Dont compound a weak position with a weak argument (watch the movie).
