I don't really see how he was squirming on it. On the contrary, I think he pretty much matter of factly and calmly dispatched the issue.

I can understand Obie not wanting to say too much for fear of being implicated in the IL bidness as usual political scene. Jobs to the highest bidder, you know.
I've often heard that if you play with crap long enough, you're bound to get some on you.
So the if he was "raised" in the state with a reputation of crooked politics he SHOULD keep quiet.
Besides, the one can't seem to recite his name witout a teleprompter!

I agree with Kerwin, but I'd also like to point out that I've never seen Obama answer a 'tough' question with grace.
Remember that time that somebody had the gall to ask a follow up and he accused them of being a "surrogate for Mccain"

You would think that he's some sort of elder statesmen who guided us through WW2 or something. He acts as if we have no right to question his authority on anything. I wonder how long he'll be able to keep that smug look plastered onto his face.

.
I wonder of Shot Rod will plead innocent by reason of insanity. Poor little Rahmbo. Not too good for the Obamassiah either.
.
absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
coddle poor politicians

always let them get their way
they should not be role models

.
absurd thought -
God of the Universe loves
the culture of corruption

but likes the Democrats' best
give them the most leeway

corruption is OK

as long as scoundrels mean well

Considering the questions deal with an item Fitzgerald has asked him not to speak on I can see why he is avoiding them. It would be wiser to go after him on other issues such as his picks some of which are bad or to point out those areas where he is going to continue Bush's policies such as economics.
