Ff this is such an outrage how about just putting a freaking sticker on your car that tells everyone you love god like you already have? The problem is they are using tax payer dollars at some point in this process. And tax payer dollars are not allowed to be used for this promotion of religion. And yes it is promotion of religion because there is no purpose other then to share with others your religion. To say when you buy it the cost is only there to REIMBURSE the state that means state pays for them first sells them then gets paid. What about all those unsold plates? How about the time, which equals money, state workers are putting in to make and design these plates. As I said at some point TAX DOLLARS are being used in this process and MY TAX DOLLARS do not fund RELIGION.

Thinker, how is giving someone the option to buy the design promoting a religion? What law did the state pass on the design? How is Congress even involved? In what way does this violate the first amendment?

To me it would seem that a judge taking the decision away from people to purchase the license plate is in violation of the first amendment. This prohibits Christians from exercising their religious freedom, as well as any other religion that may petition to have a license plate of their own. In fact this is promoting atheism, since the belief in nothing is still a belief.

Please read the first amendment of our constitution. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." No one is saying you cant practice your religion, but our government cannot support any one religion. It's a simple concept.
