Global Warming? Not So Serious, Says IPCC Chairman

Posted on December 11, 2008

For Believers, this is the equivilent for conservatives if Bush said “we need to get along with the jihadis”

There is no clear evidence that global warming is an imminent danger to the world, says Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

No. Clear. Evidence.

But, hey, good news, Climahysterics!

Even so, it would be good for governments to go further with proposed cuts in greenhouse-gas emissions to deal with dire predictions made in a 2007 panel report, he told the Associated Press in an interview on Tuesday.

Anyone getting the picture that the global warming hysteria is about control, and not “the environment?” I know most of us “skeptics” get it, but, will the climahysterics start to get it? Most of them are just followers drinking the green kool aid, mouthing platitudes from their talking points email, and refusing to look at any alternative scientific reports or discussion, yet doing little themselves. They have all been duped by people who want money, power, and prestige.

Maybe they should listen to these folks

A United Nations climate change conference in Poland is about to get a surprise from 650 leading scientists who scoff at doomsday reports of man-made global warming – labeling them variously a lie, a hoax and part of a new religion.

Rather then challenge what the scientists are saying with facts, the Climahysterics will just call them names.

“Now he has warned that if gigantic ice sheets in Greenland or Antarctica melt, the sea could rise even more, flooding coastal areas and islands and causing widespread environmental disruptions.

The report recommended large drops in carbon emissions after 2015 to contain the changes, but governments should reconsider whether even those targets go far enough, Pachauri said.”

    – Why all the insistence on taking things out of context climate skeptic?

What context? There’s the story. First he said one thing, then proved that it was all about control.

Weird twisting of otherwise publicly available information to fit political purposes. How very typical of warming deniers. Anything to erode measures that might make humans less impactful on the planet. To see the biggest climate dodo birds, just follow the media ad money back to coal, oil, nuclear — who fund the denial machine. The public can not be fooled as easily now, but repetition of bunk and junk science no matter how much $$ changes hands.

    Hey Archimedes,

You keep drinking the kool-aid. Junk Science, are you kidding me?!?! You probably still believe in the bogus Hockey Stick graph don’t you. You also use the Farmer’s Almanac to plan next year’s vacation. Climate modeling is a joke! A meterologist can’t predict what’s going to happen next week let alone in the next 100 years. Garbage in, garbage out is what your hanging your hat on. Just stick to imperical data shall we. The earth has been alot hotter than it is now, that is a fact. Try not to hang your hat on modeling, it’s bogus!
