He never said he had never spoken to Blagojevich, he said he never spoke to him specifically about the Senate seat. Even in the wire tap calls Blagojevich did not seem real fond of Obama, and said Obama would have no part of any "dealing", and that it was up to himself (Blagojevich) which person would receive the seat.
