I see the same phrase over and over again, spend the 12$, produce the long form, and all the hubbub will go away. Bull. If someone produced an old roll of film of Barack’s mam walking out of Honolulu hospital with Baby Barrack in her arms and a copy of the birth cert stapled to his butt, it still wouldn’t be enough. There will never be enough proof for the tin-foil hat crowd; Neil Armstrong didn’t really walk on the moon, the car companies are repressing technology that gets you 50 MPG gallon out of a Humvee, Mexicans and Canadians are massing along the borders preparing to take over America, and Bigfoot done stole my chickens. My favorite one is that Obama is a Muslim. I guess that means Muslims go to Christian churches with dopey pastors for 20 years. And here I always thought the prayed to Allah. Seriously, get a grip. It won’t get anywhere, because there’s no where to get.

Remember it is the Constitution, the document they are so blatently ignoring, that keeps people from breaking into your home when-ever they please without a warrant or throwing you in jail without any kind of due process, that enables you to make comments on all of these websites, that permits you to protect your home with a gun,
that stops anyone from forcing you to incriminate yourself in court…and so on. Yet This man doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone because we are not as important as he is? Shall we burn our flags on the 15th too when they turn the Constitution into Confetti? Hey, this isn’t about party lines or race, it is about defiling the Constitution. I wlll not accept nor give allegiance to anyone who is defiling the Constitution as this man is. And if you value your freedom you wouldn’t either.

I have been a Christian for thirty years. The God whom I serve, Jesus Christ, is The One who never deals with the symptom of a situation, He always goes right straight to the root. The birth certificate deal, natural born or not, born in Kenya or born in the USA, are simply symptoms. The root is what triggers our President elect to have 20 lawsuits at the cost of one million dollars served upon himself in order to evade and conceal, instead of producing a 10.00 dollar document that would squelch all lawsuits once and forever more, silence the blogosphere, and stop the bickering amongst right wing nuts and liberal kooks.
He is under obligation as an official elected who serves the public, to make this document public! No more and no less.
No one can convince me that in an era of extreme documentation, several web site images of a Hawaii document and a group of individuals posting jpeg photos of a certification of live birth is sufficient proof for the eligibility to the presidency of this great nation! If I was to need a driver’s license and needed my birth certificate, I could not guide the officials to a web site to look at the image of my birth certificate, as valid proof? Could you, or would you?
Mute silence has been the case now since August 21. A leader, rather, has the duty to wholeheartedly, openly, transparently, and forthrightly display the needed documentation to the public whom he will serve, in order to gain its trust in the integrity of his leadership. This type of ongoing chronic silence begins to have the smell of fraud.
This is not a right wing nut issue, neither is it left wing conspiracy kooks. Whom ever you are…tell me in all seriousness…in your heart of hearts… and in your gut of guts. Doesn’t something about all of this really bother you? If not for you, then for the sake of your children. Does the specter of someone who knowingly is ineligible to run for this office becomes president, or an usurper takes rein of our government disturb you? I am not calling the President Elect these things, but every day that passes with an ever intensifying crescendo of an American outcry for proof of eligibility, met feebly with cowardly evasion and a deafening silence from the President elect only exacerbates my suspicions. Does it not do it for you? Or don’t we care anymore? Are we like a herd of blind cattle flinging ourselves down the precipice, ipods, itouchs, iphones, itunes and me myself and I’s in our hands, stubbornly covering our ears to the truth.
Though I disagree in many ways with the President elects views and convictions, I will be the first one to uphold his office if he leads me wholeheartedly, openly, transparently, and forthrightly

Antimedia — yes, the Officials of the State of Hawaii have seen Obama’s birth certificate, but they didn’t answer the question… “where does it say he was born?”. Hawaiian state law allows foreign born people to register with the state and obtain a “born in Hawaii” designation, meaning that piece of paper is next to worthless. These Officials said:

1. We’ve seen the birth certificate
2. We can’t give it to you
3. This is standard procedure, nothing special is going on here.

They said ZERO about where Obama was born.

The exact words from the press release are here:

“There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record. “Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures. “No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawai‘i.”

I think this whole controversy is stupid. Officials of the State of Hawaii have already attested to having seen Obama’s vault certificate. However, my question to “Bill” would be, who has seen Obama’s certificate and verified it? And how do you know this? Do you have a link proving your assertion? Or are you just making crap up like liberals so often do?

Just wanted to post mostly to tell ‘the elector of Saxony’ above what an outstanding, well-written, succinct comment that was. Thank you.

As for the birth certificate and President Elect Obama’s making it this far-why would we think that any functionary along the way would have said, “OK, senator, you need to show me your birth certificate.” ? There is no such office that is supposed to do that. Even the FEC probably isn’t supposed to…so who is? Apparently no one.

Strange that ‘applying’ for the most powerful position on earth requires less vetting and official record requirements than for the rest of us low lifes applying for a job, joining the military, drivers license, whatever.

U.S. Constitution on December 7th, 2008 12:35 pm *** has hit the nail on the head!

It doesn’t matter that we see his birth certificate or not. Obama, by his own admission, is clearly NOT a “natural born citizen.”

The whole birth certificate controversy is a red herring designed to keep you all from the obvious!

In the Supreme Court ruling on Perkins v. ELG, 307 U.S. 325 (1939), gives examples of what a citizen of the US is and what a native-born citizen (or natural born citizen) of the US is.

1) a foreigner parent (Sweden) and 2) a US citizen parent had a child in the U.S. The SCOTUS ruled that the child, Elg, was a citizen of the United States.

Not a natural born citizen, but just a citizen.

Contrast this in which the SCOTUS continued its explanation in Perkins v. ELG, that a child born of 1) A U.S. Parent and 2) a naturalized (by U.S. statute) parent qualified the child to be a natural born citizen.

BIG difference!

Obama’s Father was NEVER a U.S. Citizen, ergo, according to a previous ruling by the Supreme Court, Barack H. Obama, Jr. IS NOT a “natural born citizen.”

That is why, the birth certificate issue is just a red-herring to throw you all off the trail…

There is an issue that is more important than a birth certificate….the fact that THREE presidential candidates on the ballot in every state in the union are of questionable validity of constitutional qualification including one born in Nicaragua. The real issue is protecting the Constitution from change. Next thing you know there will be the introduction of another Constitutional Amendment to make the “natural born” phrase go away….and then there will be hell to pay!
