Oh, Those Wacky Liberal Judges And Prosecutors, Part Lots

Isn’t Liberal Justice wonderbar?

A former teacher at a Lubec elementary school was sentenced Friday in Washington County (Maine) Superior Court to 30 days in jail for having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old boy.

Tina Mason, 31, of East Machias cried and sniffled in the courtroom as she pleaded no contest to charges of assault, sexual abuse of a minor and unlawful sexual touching. The victim, who is now 15 years old, showed no emotion while he sat on the other side of the courtroom with his family.

They were probably tears of joy that she wasn’t going to be sent away for decades for statutory rape.

Mason sought to avoid serving time behind bars, but Justice Kevin Cuddy agreed with the prosecution’s recommended sentence of 30 days in jail for Mason, who is married and has two young children.

“There is nothing I can say that will make this situation any better,” Mason tearfully told the judge. “Please think of my own children. Who will protect them if I’m not there?”

How about someone who hasn’t been having sex with a minor? That would be a good start.

I’m just sickened.

“Please think of my own children. Who will protect them if I’m not there?”

And who will protect the teen aged boys if you are there?

It’s pretty routine for women to get a slap on the wrist for the same things a man would be sent up the river for. It’s a big advantage to be a woman if incarceration or child custody is on the line.

If this would have been a male teacher and female student they would throw the book. However, since it is a female teacher and male student they slap the wrist. Double standards and sexism. Quality justice!

I guess the (probably mandatory) sexual harassment training session didn’t work as planned. On second thought, maybe it gave the teacher an idea. Any word on how the teachers’ union, almost certainly DNC-controlled, has responded? My guess: “Because teachers barely earn a living wage, she had little resort to lash out at society and, in this case, became a educator predator.”

Just another fine example of the consequences of removing morality from our government.
