Gay Activist Attacks Christian Woman, Christine Cloud Speaks Out

Posted on November 20, 2008

The gay activists opposing Proposition 8 in California sure knows how to sway the public…NOT! This is probably why they want to force their way of life on others through the courts. They can shut their mouth about tolerence, cuz they have nothing but hate. This poor girl, Christine Cloud, was singing “Amazing Grace” when one of the gay activists took her Bible from her and smacked her in the head with it! Thankfully the police saw this and responded!

Prop 8 is a Constitutional Amendment to the California State Constitution. By definition, it cannot be found unconstitutional by the state court. The California Supreme Court can only rule on STATE matters. Because Prop 8 is a Constitutional amendment, it becomes a part of the state constitution. The court has no jurisdiction to decide its constitutionality under the Federal Constitution. That is a matter reserved to the federal courts. The only way the state court could throw it out is by ignoring jurisdiction and their place as interpreters of the law.

Whenever I see a post like this it always amazes me that comments address behavior or laws and not what actually happened. No one seems to care when Christians are attacked. You don’t have to believe what we believe but come on…don’t people see where this is going? We (Christians) might be attacked without anyone batting an eye, but don’t worry. After they come for us, they’ll come for you.

I should mention that REAL Christians view an episode like this as just jewels in the crown…

The stupid gays want equal rights? Well, the attack on the poor girl who was only singing just proves that the gays have no commons sense whatsoever and I am personally glad that prop 8 in California passed because it is about bloody time!

  5. Shum Preston on November 21st, 2008 3:28 pm

    Christians attacked?

Please. They were coming into a community that had just seen its families ripped apart and had to deal with some harsh words thrown at them. Welcome to our world. “Christians” throw harsh words at gay people and our families every day.

Would Jesus really work on a H8 campaign?

  6. Dan S on November 21st, 2008 4:14 pm

Bottom line for a Christian is the Bible says homosexual activity is a sin… but we cannot judge a non-Christian and are not supposed to hold them up to the truth of the Bible… We can try to show them the light but if they reject the truth we are to turn our backs on them, there is no hate involved, God will judge them only he will decide their fate based on what they decide to accept, if ANYONE reject Jesus they will go to hell, no ifs, ands, or buts about it… God wants nobody to perish but he gives everyone the choice to decide for themselves, but before they are judged 100% of everyone who has existed will bow before him before they spend eternity suffering in an existance worse then anything we can ever imagine her on this earth…

The behavior of this violent person, and the excuses made for him by those on the left, further highlight why we must never allow the left to implement the ‘fairness doctrine,’ or ‘hate speech’ laws. In practice, as this incident shows, the laws only apply when a liberal has been wronged; when a gay (member of a de facto ‘victim group’) does violence to a Christian–using her Bible as a club–there is no prosecution whatsoever, let alone application of the ‘hate speech’ laws.

The left claims to be great proponents of non-violence and free speech, but in fact those principles only apply when it protects *them*.

This was an assault, a battery, and a hate crime–yet there is no cry for justice from the left.

Totalitarianism by any other name still has the same stench.

  9. Janet on November 21st, 2008 4:53 pm

I find it very ironic that the very people that declare that they want tolerance are probably the most intolerant. Laws may be passed because the law makers feel bullied, but actions such as these only solidify and cause to intensify the animosity between gay/straight and christian/non-christian. You talk about H8!

  10. flyer on November 21st, 2008 4:56 pm

Odd…Shum seems to think the right to free assembly and free speech do not apply in certain communities–apparently on the basis that (some) of those living there have been upset by recent events.

I wonder if his response would be consistent if the same principle were applied by straight suburbanites who are offended by gay protests in their neighborhoods, or even their church services?

Should those offended individuals be allowed to rip the signs from the protesters’ hands, and give them a good whack over the head?

Of course not; that would be a hate crime…

  11. Janet on November 21st, 2008 5:43 pm

Gay activists are there to convert also. If not for trying to sway public opinion, then why would they be there at all?

  12. Janet on November 21st, 2008 5:53 pm

Joe, the national television comes to you. They take great pleasure in “reporting” the desecration of religious symbols, artifacts and churches. Usually there is some activist stating that it is all in the name of free speech. I would not exactly call that being truthful.

I would personally like to see all the hate stop on both sides. Christians should love the person, but not necessary be forced to agree with their beliefs. Gays should love the Christians, but not necessary be forced to agree with their beliefs either. However, both sides are way out of control.

  13. Janet on November 21st, 2008 6:15 pm

mmm–I agree to a point. People who are Christians must not be forced to be free FROM the religion that they love. That would be denying them their freedom of speech and freedom of religion that was intended by our forefathers. It does not give them the right to be obnoxious and abrasive about it though.

Christians want to be free to practice their religion, just as you want to be open and free to practice homosexuality.

I agree that the teaching of religion should be kept out of schools; however, you must keep the teaching of the homosexual religion out of schools as well.

  14. Billy nickoles on November 21st, 2008 6:45 pm

If you truly study the “THE BILL OF RIGHTS” it does not make a difference between church and state. Where this came from is a letter to Thomas Jefferson thats all. So our gov’t does not, by federal law, or should not keep the two apart. One thing else if she is a lier, she did one thing right she forgave him and did not have him put in jail. We are not the judges, Jesus Christ is and shall always be no matter what we think or believe. HE stills Forgive and welcomes into the fold no matter who or what you are.

She belongs to the Justice House Of Prayer. Their head pastor, Lou Engle, is affiliated with Joel’s Army, a Christian Dominionist sect that advocates the stoning to death of homosexuals and the overthrow of American democracy in favor of a theocratic Taliban-style government ruled by Biblical law.

Google: Joel’s Army and Lou Engle. Read what the Southern Poverty Law Center has to say about them. They are dangerous militant advocates for a Christian version of sharia law in the United States.

    Post your proof.

But the Christians ARE forcing us live under their beliefs.

    Give an example.

Christianists like the ones in the Castro incident want homosexuals converted or dead.

    Provide some proof.

Homosexuals exist is greater numbers in this country than many other minorities - Muslims, Jews, Native Americans, etc.

Again… support your statement with proof.

  16. californian7 on November 21st, 2008 7:21 pm

“Homosexual religion” is a reasonable term. Their world view is their religion. It permeates their life to the extent that this activist was willing to pound an innocent over the head with her bible because he/she is unhappy with a democratically passed Amendment. Then the G/L community tries to take the high ground acting as though the victim somehow deserved it because she had a different point of view then the activist. Why isn’t that a H8 crime?

Why does the G/L community push their “religion” on unsuspecting kids? Why can’t they leave the schools out of this? Why do they want to re-define marriage (6000+ years of history there) in an effort to legitimize their lifestyle choices? Why can’t they accept domestic partnerships and the legal rights thereof with the view that if they don’t like the domestic partnership laws - they can change them? Why won’t they do this without re-defining marriage? I choose to have intercourse with the opposite sex, but it doesn’t define who I am. I’m not obnoxiously straight to the extent that I have to attack gay protestors. I’m just a guy living his life and raising his family. We are the ones who have been attacked by the G/L community. We didn’t take the fight to them, they’ve been hammering on us for years. I had a “yes on 8″ sign in my yard and guess what - it was vandalized. I wasn’t surprised. I was a victim of hate because I supported one sentence affirming the millenia old definition of marriage. Some movement of tolerance and love there, right?

  17. Joe.My.God. on November 21st, 2008 7:30 pm

    @loboinok

These truths are self-evident to the rational. For all others, I recommend Wikipedia or Google.

“But the Christians ARE forcing us live under their beliefs.”

That we are even having this conversation is an example.

“Christianists like the ones in the Castro incident want homosexuals converted or dead.”

I merely direct you to the post above your own. I get dozens of emails daily that threaten my life in the name of God. I’d repost one here, but I imagine this block doesn’t allow obscene language.

“Homosexuals exist is greater numbers in this country than many other minorities - Muslims, Jews, Native Americans, etc.”

Estimates vary widely on how many homosexuals exist in the United States. On high end, some say 10% of the population, which would mean about 30 million people. On the very low end, some say 3%, meaning about 10 million. Accepting the lowest number of 3%, that means that there are more gays than Jews (1.7%), Mormons (1.7%), and Muslims (0.6%). Of course, this comparison isn’t entirely apt because many gay folks are also members of those groups. But it’s an ugly question entirely to suggest that there is some magical cutting-off point below which a minority population does not deserve full membership in American society.

  18. californian7 on November 21st, 2008 7:40 pm

    Shum-

You asked the question if Jesus would work on a H8 campaign. Why do you consider Prop 8 a H8 campaign? The question to the voters was “How do you want to define marriage.” The vote was for the union of one man and one woman. The “No on 8″ ads I saw from the school board president were spurious and deceitful at best. The school district donated over $1.250 million to the “No on 8″ campaign. The money could have been used for the kids. I saw an ad comparing the supporters of Prop 8 to those who interred Japanese citizens during WWII. Again, deceitful bullying. Do you honestly think you will win supporters by calling your opponents Facists and H8rs? All that did was alienate those who were on the fence. That is why the G/L community in California can’t understand why people voted for “change” by electing Mr. Obama, and then voted to affirm a “traditional” definition of marriage on the other hand. But don’t worry, our courts are the most activist in the nation, so you have a “prayer” that the leftist judiciary will overturn the will of the people of California………….again.

NO JESUS WOULD LOOK RIGHT INTO YOUR HEART AND SEE YOUR PAIN HE WOULD ADDRESS YOU WITH WORDS YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD BEFORE, HE WOULD PROVE HIS MIRACULOULOUS NATURE AND RIGHTFUL PLACE AS LORD BY PROVING THAT HE KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU, EVEN THINGS YOU HAVE NEVER TOLD ANYONE. THEN HE WOULD OFFER TO HEAL YOU, COMPLETELY IF YOU WOULD

First I want to start off by saying that I believe everyone should have the right to choice. However I do want to point out several issues that have become falsehoods. First the amendment that says one cannot discriminate based on race, religion, and sex. Does not include any-wording that says ORIENTATION after the word sex. The purpose of journalism is to use truth to inform people. When you lie about something or change it to fit your viewpoint it is not journalism it is propaganda. Now to the Gay community, I was seduced at a young age by these people, they socially isolated me from my friends, telling me they didn’t know me or understand me. Then once I had no support group and was in a very bad emotional state I was told that the reason my relationships didn’t work was becasue I was gay. Of course having no opposing influence to these suggestions I fell easily into the culture, I’ll spare you the sick details that were used to influence me, but I assure you no parent would want this to happen to their child. When I finally awoke from the reality and identity that I was coerced into, I was ostricized by the the same gay community that had “brought me out of the closet”.

If we as americans continue to allow the gay community to continue their propagandizing you will continue to have a greater number of children becoming gay. Scientific statistics and other tools of the Gay propaganda machine are lies ment to influence your thinking. I know most people see their choice in life as harmless, but they haven’t lived the hell I have. I wouldn’t wish the hours of therapy, medication and the 14 years I lost of my life because of this influence. I personally believe that 95% of the people of this country haven’t achieved self awareness and that the resulting consequence has been a loss of any definitive path in life. Please people stop running from the bully and stand up against the degradation of free-will or you or your children could be their next victim.

Shawn - Thank-you for your sharing your experience. It sounds as if you really understand what is going on. I am sorry you had to go through that. I, too, was introduced to that path at a young and vunerable age…It was agonizing..but I was fortunate to get out before it went to far.
The homosexual agenda is propaganda and a lie. My heart goes out to those that are struggling with this…

  23. Taz on November 22nd, 2008 12:16 pm

I do not recall anywhere in the Bible a reference of someone being gay or married to one of the same sex. Is it because they were still in the closet? Yeah right, I also have a bridge to sell you that cross the entire universe with exits to whatever continent you wish to exit. Come on people get real, use your head for something besides conjuring up your own theory. I can not believe someone would even consider this anything other then a crime. PLEASE look at the FIRST INITIAL ACTION, not that they were from two different groups of existence!!!!!!

I appreciated Shawn’s story, also. I am so worried about our youth & how this G/L agenda is going to effect them. Where are our ‘families’ going? The traditional family is saddly disappearing!! Why are we being forced as a nation to give up our identity as christians? Our country was founded on God & The Bible.Since when is it such a crime to witness? There are so many hurting people out there that need to hear The Word. As christians, God tells us to Go out and spread the Good News!!We are living in sad times. God Bless You all.

  25. Brian Jett on November 22nd, 2008 6:25 pm

It is much easier as Oswald Chambers wrote before his death at 42, “to work for God rather with God.” The separation of church and state is a collateral issue as are so many red herrings. As long as “Christ” and “God” are left out of what He came to earth to do (love, hang out with those with hang ups, etc.. all of us) than the left-wing are those against Him “seem” to be winning. Anger, hostile and belittling remarks such as ..”those stupid gays…” is damaging to the labeled “Christian’s” of this world. It is becoming nothing more than a label - tantamount to “I’m a psychologist, a journalist, a Democrat, a Republican, etc..” and the Label Gun is again at work at its worst. Most Christians have no clue what Jesus would do because of emotionality and too much calculating without God or a lack of listening to God Himself or the Holy Spirit. Think and believe for yourself and this whole getting distracted from Christ as The Focal Point will cease in large part. Before we lead, we must have some inkling about Whom we are following. Simple and unaffected people change through prayer and soft words the hearts of many more than those who, through insecurity and guilt, force issues. Jesus told the truth by grace and truth, in that order, not by working hard FOR God and even if He did, He was in the position to do so. Prayer in the Country might just work miracles. What does the bible discuss about prayer?
    Thanks,
    Brian G. Jett

The homosexual agenda is evil. Observe their behavior since the passage of Prop.8. When homosexuals were granted domestic rights, that was a mistake. People with knowledge knew homosexuals wouldn’t stop there. Always pushing for more, they demand to be accepted in mainstream society, using force if necessary, as documented in Biblical and secular history. When this licentious activity becomes mainstream, it destroys the very fiber of civilized society. Morals hit the gutter and nations perish. History has proven this to be the case. Since time began, there have been homosexuals. If these people with such impulses wish to live in blissful peace, fine, let them do their thing but leave us alone and quit forcing people to accept this abnormal behavior. Keep it away from children, out of our schools and stop flaunting it. Moral people will never accept this lifestyle no matter how much homosexuals demonstrate, destroy property or push bogus court decisions that rule in their favor — normal people find it repulsive. Let’s stop calling them “gay”, it is cutesy and illusionary — they are sodomites.
Many organizations must share blame for promoting this abomination; to name a couple, liberal lunatics and new-age Christian leaders. Liberals have to be excused as they’re stupid; however, there is no excuse for religious leaders. Our stomachs must turn at these hypocrites who make this vice even more odious by supporting a cause to evolve humanity in the name of the Savior. Nowhere in the Biblical lexicon is homosexuality condoned. If hell exists, these new-age theologians need to be placed in its deepest pits. Pastors who mis-preach need to be re-briefed in the Old and New Testament. The Nazarene said “I have not come to change the laws of Moses, but to fulfill it” and the “Big Boss” commanded man to be fruitful and multiply.” He meant Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve or Even and Debra.

  27. kathy on November 23rd, 2008 4:53 am

GOD IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN DID NOT CREATE ADAM AND ADAM, NOR DID HE CREATE EVE WITH EVE. THE BIBLE SPEAKS OF HOMOSEXUALTY BEING WRONG. WE ARE TO LOVE THE SINNER, AND HATE THE SIN..

  28. John on November 23rd, 2008 7:40 am

How can gays expect to be treated with tolerance, when they are intolerant of any opposing view? It’s just like a child when they throw a temper tantrum in the grocery store, kicking and screaming. They want their way. I guess the rest of us Americans have to be the adults here.

  29. Dennis Jones on November 23rd, 2008 2:20 pm

The truth is that ALL Californians have the right to marry someone of the opposite sex. There is no discrimination.

  30. John in Tampa on November 26th, 2008 10:23 am

First of all I seriously doubt if any of you who claim to know what the bible says about homosexuality really know. Unless you can read and fully comprehend the Aramaic and Hebrew languages you are reading an interpretation of the bible. Just because some bigot decides to interpret something in a skewed biased way doesn’t make it fact. And just because some churches repeat lies for hundreds of years doesn’t make them fact. The only part of the interpretation of he Bible we read that mentions “men lieing with men” is the old testament. No where does Jesus speak of homosexuality in the new testament and certainly never condems gay people in the new testament. Christians are to abide by the laws and rules of the new testament, not the old testament. As for this woman, if there was a group of black people demonstrating against some civil rights violation, would I be stupid enough as a white man to walk in the middle of them and preach white supremacy? Of course not. I would get my ass kicked, rightfully so. She wasn’t there to sing, she was there to stir up trouble. Not as a Christian, but as a bigot. She got what she asked for, in my opinion.
