They'll use logical arguments to move toward their goals sometimes. But the second it becomes inconvenient, logic and consistency get thrown away. It's good to point it out to people on the sidelines watching, but don't expect it to matter to the left. Conservatives get caught up in trying to make these arguments. Liberals don't care. - You explain to them their position is inconsistent. They don't care. - You point out their logical fallacies. They don't care. - You point out that their statements are simply not true. They don't care. - You show them who they've specifically hurt with their policies. They don't care. - You show how it hasn't worked in the past. They don't care. - You point out the similarities between their plans and those of evil regimes of the past and present. They don't care. These people are bigots. They use hatred of different groups (religious people in this case, but there's always someone to hate for every differnt situation) to advance them toward their goals. They want power and money. Winning the argument isn't enough. Being right isn't enough. It's time to start calling on the people listening in the crowd to either stand FOR bigotry and hatred or stand AGAINST it. Liberals don’t care about logic.
