This comment from a liberal-lite.... I'm glad to see the Republican party coming to its senses. I hope they make a firm decision to get out of peoples' bedrooms at home and stop trying to run the world by dictating policy abroad. Although I usually vote democratic, the last thing I want is one-party rule in this country. I welcome debate, and creative tension, between progressive principles and those principles for which the Republican party has traditionally stood: limited government and individual freedom. Let's forget all that other crap the religious-right theocrats and the neo-cons-uber-alles have injected into our political discourse over the last couple of decades. Let's get down to business. Game on?

Three complete idiots.
In 2004 - The Presidential choice was between Bush and Bush-lite. Bush Won.
In 2008 - The Presidential choice was between Socialism and Socialism-lite. Socialism Won.

Republicans must remain conservative. Republicans should not try to pander to the 'moderates', Republicans need to convince the moderates that conservatives are better for the nation.

Conservative principles of small government of limited enumerated powers are ideological. Splitting national security, social and fiscal conservatives by moderating any of these principles is just what Democrats want us to do. Its stone cold, but we got to thin the herd if we are going to survive.

This from the peoples cube back in May.
