CIA: Osama Bin Laden Alive, but Not So Well

Posted on November 13, 2008

CIA Director, Michael Hayden reports that Osama Bin Laden is still alive more than seven years after the 9/11 attacks. However, he’s been spending most of that time dodging missiles.

Osama bin Laden is alive and “putting a lot of energy into his own security,” the director of the CIA, General Michael Hayden, said today.

He also claimed, without providing details, that the US intelligence community had disrupted an attack “that would have rivaled the destruction of 9/11.” …

Without directly referring to the CIA’s offensive blitz of unmanned missile attacks in the tribal areas of Pakistan, the CIA boss said the US had successfully isolated the al Qaeda leader bin Laden, referring to him in the present tense.

“He appears to be largely isolated from the day-to-day operations of the organization he leads,” Hayden said in a speech delivered to the Atlantic Council in Washington.

This is the plot he is talking about being disrupted:

OSAMA bin Laden is planning an attack against the United States that will “outdo by far” September 11, an Arab newspaper in London has reported.
And according to a former senior Yemeni al-Qaeda operative, the terrorist organisation has entered a “positive phase”, reinforcing specific training camps around the world that will lead the next “wave of action” against the West.

It obviously didn’t happen. Maybe some of Bush’s policies were not so bad? Don’t worry though, Obama will protect us. Who will he tap to replace Hayden?

Ed Morrissey has a scary thought:

I’d expect Hayden to be asked to resign within a short period after the inauguration. Who will they tap to replace him? Richard Clarke?

It has been reported that Al-Jazeera ran Osama’s obituary on 12/29/91. Remember how he was said to be in trouble with kidney failure and on dialysis? People on dialysis don’t live long without a transplant.

Looks like we’re preparing to get out. Next will be official word that he’s dead and so no longer a threat. With that and no SOFA in Iraq, the groundwork is done for a withdawal. About time.

The protocol when a new president is elected is that everyone submits their resignation.

Some resignations are accepted and some are not accepted.

Do you hold us for stuppid Amerikans?
How comes Obama just has been selected as a president of USA and you already tell us about Bin LAdens health situation?
I believe the name of Bin Ladens name appears just than when you find it necessary to report.
God bless I would say the whole world, and figures like Bin LAden or some other marionetes should be left out of the game.

May God be our helper in this present situation because Ben Laden is very dangerous.

God bless America AND AFRICA, AND the ACLU, AND don’t mention Osama Bin Laden during this time of transition. I hope this isn’t a real cross section of what people really think.
It isn’t right to forget those who died by Osama Bin Laden’s hand and to know that the ACLU had a hand in softening up the prodedures we used to track terrorists back then. I fear it’s not an IQ problem, which could at least be forgiven, but a problem with racism in the reverse. That is sad.

God Bless America and our new president, hope he has the juice to do the right thing.

Is Osama Bin Laden a devil?.Has he stopped reading the Quran with a positive mind. The world is changing. He should quit terrorism and ask for forgiveness from those he has hurt in the past.

“CIA: Osama Bin Laden Alive, but Not So Well”

This being the CIA, we should probably conclude that OBL is dead but in good health..

Why couldn’t an administration that was known to bomb anywhere, anytime, capture and torture prisoners, tap phone lines…and do anything…at whatever cost…to ’smoke him out of his cave’, dead or alive, find Bin Laden?
Don’t blame an administration that’s not in yet for the gross failures of the last 8 years.

Is this CIA’s intelligence okay? how do you know that Osama Bin Laden is alive, but not so well? this is to say you know exactly where he is, why can’t you take a calculated target Missile strike?
Good intellegence does not speculate. please make sure you don’t miss inform the new president.

Will Obama challenge Osama? Will Osama challenge Obama? Obama must go after Osama or Osama will attempt to strike Obama. If this occurs, BOTH Osama and Obama could lose which would necessitate their joining forces to battle against Obiden. But, Obiden could face a retaliatory strike from Opalin, so everyone just needs to watch your back and keep drinking the Obama Kool Aid like we’ve been doing this past year. God help us!

“This is the plot he is talking about being disrupted…

It obviously didn’t happen. Maybe some of Bush’s policies were not so bad?”

No, there was no proof and no charges were brought. It was a PR sham. Just like the last eight years.

I am very greatful that ACLU is there to protect my rights and everyone else. But can they protect my rights if I be held hostage by the terrorist? Can they negotiate with Bin
Laden to release me. Yes terrorist has rights too, when they get caught they use those rights, how about those they killed, can they ask Bin Laden to compensate them?
There’s nothing new with the Director of CIA reports, but of course they are still doing their jobs, because they are still in the office. Not mentioning Bin Laden during this transition period? Is like asking us not to mention 9/11 during this time.Lots of us are into the celebration of our new elected President, yes, I am happy about it too, but let those on his commitee take care of it, its not like we forget the reality of life that’s going on around us. In fact, it’s even better to mention Bin Laden during this time, as a reminder that he is still there, that during our celebration, he is busy plotting for his next terrorist attack on USA. I love my country, I would love change,
I really hope our new president can deliver, but this kind of attitude, is how we got 9/11 in the first place.

If the Clinton administration would have done their job to start with we wouldn’t be hearing anything about Bib Ladin. Is this new President going to be another Bill Clinton? He is starting out right be maybe putting Hillary in as Security of State!

I am amazed by the stupidity in some of these comments. They must be left by A-Rabs. One more thing, Obama is a bitch.

  20. Jay on November 14th, 2008 8:43 am

First of all, in my post I did not blame Obama for any of Bush’s failures. Bush had many failures, but I believe history will eventually record him as a pivotal and good President. He made mistakes, but he made many decisions that were more difficult than any President has ever been faced with. He did a good job protecting America, and fighting terrorism. He may not go down as an overall best President, but he definitely won’t go down the way the lefties have painted him. The lefties got ridiculous with their Hitler labels and such. GWB will go down as a good President, at least in my book.

The CIA is telling us about the downfall of the desperate fugitive, Osama Bin Ladin? I’d take their analysis?/conclusion/press release with a large grain of salt. I mean, aren’t they the same ones who told us about Saddam’s stockpiles of WMDs? Personally, I think Osama is living in a high rise somewhere on the Vegas strip. He parties it up almost every night, except on those occasions when he retreats into his den, pushes the pool table out of the way, and shoots a another utube video in front of the cave backdrop. It probably takes him 10 or 15 minutes to wipe the grin off his face and to get his posse to stop their giggling just so they can get a take.

A few days ago CNN reported that Obama wants to recharge the hunt for OBL. He stated that they some intel reports assumed he was dead while others assumed he was alive. He stated they had no leads excpet for the fact that he is in the hills some where. So what changed. All of a sudden they have info? How do they know he is isolated? Are we back to bringing up OBL and 9/11 every chance we get. How about we catch him then we can start writting article with facts.
