Iran Test Fires Apparent Photoshop. Again

Posted on November 12, 2008

I’m kinda surprised not many are bothering to cover this bit of humor from the Iranians, with their dupes at UPI helping out

The Iranian military Wednesday test-fired surface-to-air missiles designed for defensive purposes, the country’s state-sanctioned media reported.

The test-firing involved the next-generation missile called the Sejil and used solid-fuel propellants, the government’s English-language Press TV said on its Web site. Reports on Press TV and state television provided no details about the missile’s range.

Looks good!!!

Yup, those look real! So obvious as to be ludicrous.

I saw these earlier today, and couldn’t decide whether it’s truly a fake, or if it was a bad copy from MEHR.

Will look and see if I can find higher-resolution copies of the photos. That one with the Iranian flag in the foreground definitely looks like it’s been tampered with (from here, anyway).

    Respectfully,
    Brian

Hmm, after looking at hi-res copies of the photos over at Newscom, there doesn’t appear to be any manipulation.

The two biggest things that I was suspecting was a black “halo” around the missile while it was in the air, but looking at it in higher resolution, I saw that it was some kind of ridge or conduit running up the outside of the rocket.

The other thing that I was looking at possibly indicating forgery was a “halo” of sorts around the missile in the flag photo. It doesn’t really reproduce in the higher-resolution photos, though (at least, not to a considerable amount), so it seems more likely to be an optical effect of some sort.

Hope this helps, sorry it couldn’t be as fake as I wanted it to be. :)

    Regards,
    Brian

Oh, well. I was looking at them saying “a golden rocket?” plus, the rocket just doesn’t seem to match the brightness of the rest of the pictures.

What struck me is the VIDEO – there are shots of the missile seemingly launching by day and flying by night. Regardless of the veracity, though, it’s only a couple weeks before the darkness of a new moon that may well provide Israel with their last best chance to take out the Iranian threat before Obama takes office.

I don’t know why you are so concern about Isreal. Ifyou were an Arab you will hate anyone who is so concern about Israel because of what they do and have done to the Palestinians on daily bases. Thousands of palestenians have been killed by the Israels. Thousnads still in jail by the Israeles. Millions are living in camps in neighboring arab countries waiting to go back to there land in Paleastine befoer they get uprooted by the Israles. Come on you should be ashame of trying to protect Isreal.

Hey Sam, We CHRISTIANS do not protect Israel, GOD does!!!!!! We just support them and try to help them in their battle against Satan’s children, you know, the followers of Islam. Bring your “mahdi” on!

Firstly, we Christians have never been taught that the followers of Islam are Satan’s children. If you go to a church that espouses that lie I recommend you take time to read your bible.

Secondly, true Christians pray for Israelis and Palestinians alike. They are both descendants of Abraham…cousins in fact. And just for the record there has been killing of thousands on both sides. Ask any Jewish mother or any Palestinian mother and she will tell you all she wants is for her children to grow up in safety. It is the foolish and fanatical “men” in this world who seek power and war. Perhaps one among them will arise and make a lasting peace so that they can live side by side without killing each other. But you can only have peace if you truly desire peace.

Dearest Marie, It is you who needs to read your bible. You folks who hope to have someone bring world peace will get your wish for a few months in the not to distant future when the antichrist brings his message of peace to sucker the people who think they know what our bible says. The suckers will worship him because they think he is the real christ, which is just what he wants. Yeshua is the only one who can bring peace to this world and remember, he will not come back until the 7th trump. The antichrist and satan comes at the sixth trumph. All the Jews want is to be left alone, but they are not going to be pushed around like the US is.
