Excitable Andy/Glenn Greenwald freakout alert in 3…2…1….
(Wall Stree Journal) As a candidate, Mr. Obama said the CIA’s interrogation program should adhere to the same rules that apply to the military, which would prohibit the use of techniques such as waterboarding. He has also said the program should be investigated.
Upon review, Mr. Obama may decide he wants to keep the road open in certain cases for the CIA to use techniques not approved by the military, but with much greater oversight.
Advisers caution that few decisions will be made until the team gets a better picture of how the Bush administration actually goes about gathering intelligence, including covert programs, and there could be a greater shift after a full review.
Thinks look a bit different when the burden of being The Decider is on you, eh, President-Elect Obama?

Quick update: Yup, Sullivan is a bit upset, though he tries to blame the story somewhat on Clinton and Bush officials. He says he will cut Barry no slack.

This bears repeating: What would happen if our enemies were actually scared of being caught and (ahem) interrogated? Like Jack Bauer would do?
I find it humorous how Barry has changed his mind about interrogation techniques after he was briefed by the CIA. I have a suspicion that Barry was given a cold slap of reality concerning the threats from the Islamonazi’s.
Why do I feel like a lot of that man power is going to be turned inwards towards those not on bended knee to Dear Leader?
