Obama Spokesman Says ‘Obama Ready to RULE on Day 1′

The co-chair of Barack Obama’s Transition Team, Valerie Jarrett, appeared on Meet the Press this weekend and used, shall we say, an interesting word to described what she thinks Barack Obama will be doing in January when he’s officially sworn into office. She told Tom Brokaw that Obama will be ready to “rule” on day one. It’s a word that reflects the worst fears that people have for Obama the “arrogant,” the “messiah,” that imagines he’s here to “rule” instead of govern.
Jarret told Brokaw that “given the daunting challenges that we face, it’s important that president elect Obama is prepared to really take power and begin to rule day one.”
Someone needs to get to Jarrett and inform her that American politicians are not Kings and do not “rule” from office. But if this is the attitude of Obama’s transition team, what does The One himself imagine he is about to unleash? Could the fears that Obama thinks he is being anointed America’s King be far off with this sort of talk flying about?

I ran across a story in the Grey Lady today, which was about the coming end of the “imperial presidency.” I guess with Obama we will have the Messianic presidency. Or, may the Fuhrer presidency. I’m about ready to start referring to him as “Il Duce,” just to see of the libs go ape.
Another example of how our educational process has devolved, to the extent that all these so-called “smart” people do not understand that words have meanings.
Unless, that is, they really do mean to make the Chosen One into our own Dear Ruler…
The country voted for the mirror opposite image of what has been in place since 2000. Going from one extreme to the other was not intelligent. People are reactionaries when they vote on emotion.
Rule? Govern? What does it matter? It al depends on the meaning of the word “is” according to William Jefferson Clinton. Obama represents the beginning of the end of American democracy.

I think she knew exactly what she said. They seem to think they are here to serve us, the people, not the other way around. Thankfully, many of us are awake and watching.
I’d like to make one comment on this and it isn’t about Obama. He hasn’t even done anything yet, so I’m still open to the man. No, I want to comment on the radical leftists that support him. These despicable people, that apparently America is full of nowadays, didn’t care who won the presidency–AS LONG AS HIS SKIN WASN’T WHITE. They didn’t care if he associated with racists, terrorists, or any other sick group, as LONG AS HIS SKIN ISN’T WHITE. AS I SAID, YOU CAN’T GO LOWER THAN SOME OF THE LEFTISTS IN THIS NATION.
I think it’s becoming a real problem when people take symbolic words literally and literal words symbolically. Rule? Govern? Grow up people. Words are just words until proven otherwise.
He might think he’s ruling, or whatever. But we all know he’s working – for someone else. Let’s be blunt, I find the Sentimentality to be not only corny, and obnoxious, but absolutely toxic. And no one of any Race or Gender gets a free pass, especially if you are in a position of responsibility. So, looking past the sentimentality it is obvious that for his bosses to keep up the Clinton-Bush legacy their next President-”elect” would HAVE to be Black, for them to pull it off, and pull the wool, over our eyes!

Obama was the lesser of two evils or talked the route of one being the lesser of two evils. I wanted Ron Paul for the Republican nomination. If McCain would have nominated Ron Pual for his vice. I would have voted that ticket. But I don’t think Ron would have taken it anyway. I don’t trust any of them except Paul. I agree with Dedalus, it’s all planned. Some of the mistakes McCain did. I’d swear it seemed he was trying not to get elected.

Our population has been so thoroughly dumbed down that barely 1 in 100 would have caught that bizarre “rule” comment.
What’s really troubling is that this same populace wouldn’t resist being ruled at all,it is a natural instinct in humans to expect to be dominated.
The pendulum is swinging leftward,it will continue for a while.
Notice the silence from the ACLU regarding the proposals coming out of Obama and Rahm Emanuel’s “mandatory volunteer” civilian security force.

This Independent had little doubts that the REAL power that lurks behind the presidential figureheads would never want to give up any of the ‘decider’ powers of the last administrations. YES partisans Bush played a huge role in this process as did Clinton, but now it is time for Obama to perhaps finish off what his predecessors started. About the time he attempts to FORCE American’s loved ones into the service of a totalitarian state we are going to se BIG problems in this country and maybe yet we will see the alleged “revolution” discussed by congress in their last closed door session.

If Ron Paul had been allowed to be nominated I have little doubt he waould have won the presidency. I perosnally know so many swing voters and even Dems who loved Paul’s vision for America that would have voted for him. I wish when videos are used to make a point, that whoever posts those videos would make sure that the audio and the video part are running synchronously so we can be sure that what is being said is actually coming out of the mouth of the person in the video. I’ve viewed this video on two different sites now, and both times the audio was either delayed or ran faster than the video portion. Unless a person has the ability to read lips, it makes what is being heard in the audio portion VERY SUSPECT.
Also, it occurred to me that possibly what we hear as the word “rule” might actually be the word “roll” (ready to roll) although the previous words to that “take power” don’t seem to jive with that.
At any rate, I think it’s going to be a particularly interesting next 4 (or more) years to say the least.
MountainJack: The majority are going to be screaming for Obama’s head within a year and a half, maybe less. This has been true of every president since LBJ, so why should it change now? But most won’t remember how much they hated Bush; they’ll be looking for the next Pied Piper to save them from Obama and his rats.

Obama Will be shot at either the Jan 20th event or at sometime in the 2009 arena. this is a cruxible moment in the history of the USA and no matter which event it does happen, it will spell disaster for we americans. It could be that he will be “allowed” to continue the presidency, but you cannot cause marshal law without a significant event happening, taking out Obama would do this, not by johnny public, but by the individuals that seek to tighten the control that currently is in place, in history past, JFK was treated as the same, he was allowed to live until he decided to go against the people that helped put him in power in the first place, since history repeats itself becuase nobody seems to care enough to rememeber the past, then we are now primed for another repeat event, this time it will be far worse then it was then.
The Constitution is just a piece of paper and the president does rule UNLESS someone is willing to stand up. Unless enough people with enough power/firepower are willing to protect the Constitution. So far I see that few care about the Constitution and they have near zero power and even near to zero fire power.

wow, are you guys serious? yes, words have meanings, but those meanings are a matter of perception. The same human, fallable, perceptions that motivate us to speak out and expose our OWN inner worlds to the external world in which we share our ideas. If all the people who are so passionate about their beliefs want to affect change based on those beliefs, how about involving yourself in the process in a constructive manner rather than rely on parroted folklore rhetoric and defeatist thinking. There will always be someone who thinks differently than you do but “Government [is] founded in opinion and confidence.”–Thomas Jefferson: The Anas, 1792. Americans enjoy a system that allows them to speak out in such a manner, the responsibility is yours/ours, lets not sqaunder it!

The outcome of this election will continue to reinforce the concept of the people should fear the government. If we are ever able to return to a Republic, then the government should fear the people. My past experience of living in a Communist country for 2 years allowed me to better see through the messages put forth by our new “President”. If those who elected him expect “change”, they have no concept of the reality about to hit them.

Where might your own allegiance lay then, certainly if you are “thankful” that Ob or even McCain would have won and that Americans “resisted the revolution” your true love must be with the Globalists themselves rather than with the Constitution and those who try as best as they can to defend it. Very telling.
Regardless of what you may think of Dr. Paul, know full well the “revolution” as you call it is far from dead, and I think after Obama tries to bring back the draft and suck our young up into the Death Machine you may well see just exactly how alive the “revolution” really is. Americans will only take so much, they haven’t been pushed past the breaking point yet, but it looks to be coming. I see now why OB is reportedly “obsessed” with Lincoln and FRD. Civil War and depression.
In all fairness too, it should be as has been pointed out, made perfectly clear whether the quote in question was “ready to rule” vs “ready to roll”. Words DO matter and often these soundbites DO convey things that need to be understood, and we should all try and be as accurate as possible in everything, no need to ever put things in peoples mouths, they can just as easily hang themselves eventually if one gives them the rope IF that is their intention.

Remember when, early in his presidency, Bush made a joke about how his job would be easier if he were king? And remember what a huge fuss the media made of it? Have you heard the media screaming about this? No, of course not.
