ARMISTICE DAY / VETERANS’ DAY TOMORROW

The 11th of November in 1918 was when the First World War officially came to an end. And that day has been formally marked every year since in remembrance of those who died. When I was growing up it was known as Armistice Day in Australia and I still think of it as that. It is however now formally Remembrance Day. It is Veterans Day in the USA. It is perhaps a little more significant this year as the 90th anniversary of the event. Britain certainly seems to have been engaging in more than the usual amount of commemoration in the last few days.
It is indeed a fitting occasion to remember. All wars are bad but that one probably reached a highpoint in ghastliness. And the amount of the slaughter was phenomenal. Few British and Australians emerged from it without the loss of at least one family member. One of my uncles twice removed died in it.
The suffering endured by the troops at the front was so awful that the war became known as “the war to end all wars”. No reasonable person wanted another war. Even Theodore Roosevelt lost his enthusiasm for war when one of his sons died in it. And no politician thereafter could come to power unless he was seen as anti-war. The history books have washed memory of it away but even Hitler came to power as an advocate of peace.
I am putting up below a picture of a Nazi propaganda poster of the 1930s that you won’t believe unless you are aware of how readily all Leftists preach one thing and do another. It reads Mit Hitler gegen den Ruestungswahnsinn der Welt. And what does that mean? It means “With Hitler against the armaments madness of the world”.
And how about the second poster below? It would be from the March 5, 1933 election when Hitler had become Chancellor but Marshall Hindenburg was still President. Translated, the poster reads: “The Marshall and the corporal fight alongside us for peace and equal rights” (Der Marschall und der Grefreite kaempfen mit uns fuer Frieden und Gleichberechtigung)
Convinced yet? If not, maybe the next one below will convince. It is a poster for one of Hitler’s famous Nuremberg rallies. It reads: Reichsparteitag des Friedens, 1939. That translates as “National party rally for peace, 1939″.
And the fourth poster reads: Mit Adolf Hitler “Ja” fuer Gleichberechtigung und Frieden — which translates as “With Adolf Hitler “Yes” for equal rights and peace” — the same old standby slogans that the Left trot out to this day, of course.
So if there is any lesson to be learnt from the ghastliness of the 20th century, it surely is that loud “antiwar” cries from the Left are fraudulent. Such cries are just bait for the gullible and a mask for their real love of destruction.
Sadly, there will never be an end to the desire of some people to prey on others so there will never be an end to war. And any pretense otherwise is at best ignorant.

It is not your fault that you don’t understand history, or the importance of language and meaning. Your teachers were all Leftists, so they taught you what they believed.
The NSDAP was the SOCIALIST workers party. Those words have meaning only in the grammar of the Left. The fundamental imperative of Leftist political systems is collectivism. Communism, Nazism, even Imperialism are collectivist philosophies. What stands in opposition to them is not the so-called right wing, Democracy and Freedom are the opposite of collectivism. You imagine that Leftists went out to fight command economies, collectivized production of all goods, wealth redisctribution, enforcement of “correct” political thought, and the annihilation of the upper classes? Leftists have always supported those exact things! Both the Soviet and Nazi revolutions did all of those things, differing only slightly in terms of method and degree. What you call the “right wing” were the free nations of the world fighting against Leftism, which in the 20th century murdered 25 million people in cold blood.
Those people were murdered to create Leftist states, plain and simple. Hitler and Stalin wanted to control energy policy, created a centralized, command economy, engage in wealth redistribution, centralize health care resources, and control political speech. Gee, what recently elected President has said that those exact things are his priorites? That’s right, Obama!
The problem is that you’ve been taught that Leftists are really cool dudes and the right wingers are just uptight squares, man. “yeah, dude! the right wing wants to keep us from smokin out on some tasty bud and chillin with our gay and lesbian friends!” You think Leftists are just the actors and musicians you see on TV. No, they starved the Kulaks, they gassed the Jews, they murdered millions in an orgy of violence we now call “the killing fields”. North Koreans freeze and starve in the dark today because of Leftism, while their brothers in the South live in freedom and prosperity. The Right isn’t the opposite of the Left, the love of freedom and the hatred of genocide is the opposite of Leftism.
I offer the brain-dead Left vivid pictorial proof that Hitler was always going on about peace and equality and they still insist that he was a Rightist!

James, you seem to think that you can alter the fact of the matter that both Hitler and Obama are COLLECTIVISTS. They both derive their power from an elite group who wish to submerge the individual in the power of the State. Hitler, Stalin, and the American Left all sought to control every detail of your life and subordinate your will to that of the State. The American Left has designed a few exceptions to appeal to the weak, the lazy and the immoral. Abortion, welfare, drug laws, and gay marriage and family laws. Those are the “freedoms” the American Left will grant to the degenerate population. You’ll feel free, but you won’t be free to sell your labor to an employer without your unions permission. You won’t be able to live where you want your kids to go to school because of energy useage restrictions. You won’t be able to choose how to allocate your earnings, or your health care plan. You’ll take what the state leaves you or gives you. If you think that is real freedom, I have a slogan for you; “The Common Good before the Private Good” Think Obama would agree? Of course he would, that’s his idealogy summed up. It was Hitler’s slogan, though.
You’ll learn, though. War in Iraq has killed many terrorists and rid the world of a dangerous dictator. You are upset that your family are sent to protect the vital interests of every American? Wait until Obama decides to send them to Rwanda or to quell a civil war in Zimbabwe. Then you’ll know what it’s like to lose family members for nothing. Black Hawk Down, anyone? Our soldiers will die for ideology under Obama, just as they did under Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Pol Pot, and every other collectivist government in history. Even if you believe this is a war for oil, it is better than war for nothing. War for oil keeps milk and bread on your family table. Oil keeps your employers costs down low enough to make a profit and keep paying your salary. War for oil keeps the lights on in your local emergency room. You’ll learn when your family business is sold to pay the taxes, or when you try to pay for your kids to go to private school when your public schools are failing regardless of how much tax money they take in. You’ll learn how free you are when the Obama administration establishes a speech restriction committee to monitor what views are expressed on the radio, television, and yes dear, the internet. So go ahead and believe the propaganda, you wouldn’t be the first. 60 million Germans went before you and they were and they were probably smarter then you. They, like you, didn’t understand what the “common good before the private good” really meant.
