To kickitback007, I would think that ANY person, including Barack Obama, would embrace their heritage 100%…there is no such thing as a person being just Black when they also are made up of another race for that fact. I think people just want to hear that he is the first black President, when in fact he is more than just being part black. Therefore, I will always see Barack Obama as Bi-Racial and there is NOTHING wrong with that at all!! It’s just a shame that he along with others is not willing to embrace their heritage.

My kids are both bi-racial (Asian-American) and we raised them to be proud of who they are. After all, isn’t that what our Country is all about?? We have become a huge melting pot for all races and we should stand side-by-side each of our brothers and sisters.

If we are going to give Obama his own holiday for being the first black president. Then what about all the other first for African Americans????? What about all the other presidents they were all the first in their owen respect like being the first 42 & 43 president. We all ready have a Holiday for all our president no matter what their race it’s called PRESIDENTS DAY!!!!!!!!

Just put the glorious accomplishment under “Black Heritage Month” – along with MLK, Jr. (deceased), George Washington Carver (deceased),Harriet Tubman, Jackie Robinson, and Paul Laurence Dunbar (all deceaed).

Emery, clearly Kalia was using a metaphor. In my mind, when I read that message; she was saying that Obama has come through thus far on everything that he has stated throughout his campaign and that he is the most qualified candidate for the Presidency.

i go to bed and than go to work and look at this website again. it’s awful. this country will never become one. to much racial tension. i read on reply and it spoke the truth. what happened in the past is in the past. it’s history. i can’t undo what my ansecters did. one day we will ALL stand in judgement for the things we have done. let God do the judging.
