   You gave me a chuckle there, John Thompson… but even the fact that you called the crowd “some pinkos” is revealing in itself.

   Still, I doubt it was a conservative prank. The pendulum has swung and the left has their chance to celebrate. That’s all well and good.

   While they shout “conservatism is dead” at the top of their lungs, they should remember what conservatives said in 1992 and 2000: liberalism has failed. They were right for their time: liberalism died when it ran out of ideas and citizens got tired of a burdensome government that had lost its ideals.

   The same thing happened to conservatives over the last 8 years.
