Election Night Open Thread (Live Blog)

Update 10:57…its not official, but Obama’s got this wrapped up.
Update 10:36: Iowa to Obama.
Update 10:03, Florida isn’t looking good by the county breakdown, and to top it all off…Al Franken may become a senator!
Update 10:01 New Mexico in Obama’s hand was no surprise. However, unless the networks are all wrong on their calls for Ohio and/or PA…McCain needs a miracle to win. Its looking like an Obama victory.
Update 9:55: Texas goes to McCain, Florida too close to call. Score…207 to 129 in favor of Obama.
Update 9:18…early night? Ohio goes to Obama according to FOX. The saying is that no Republican has ever gotten the White House without Ohio. Is America really going to make this mistake?
Update 9:07: The score according to FOX is now 163 to 81 in Obama’s favor.
Update 8:51: Sister Toldjah has a great live-blog too.
Update: 8:38: FOX calls Georgia for McCain. 103 to 60
Update: 8:36…even after warning that no votes were in at PA yet, FOX went on and called it? You can’t go on the exit polls. We will see.
Update 8:30 p.m.: The maverick strategy to steal PA isn’t gonna happen. FOX calls it. FOX have the score at Obama 103, McCain 45. Between a screaming baby and wife asking me to do crap I must have missed them calling several!
Update 8:22 p.m: ABC and NBC are calling Pennsylvania, but FOX is being more cautious. I’m watching FOX so I’m going with their tallies.
Update 8:18 p.m.: OK and TN have been called for McCain. Illinois, Maine, Mass, CT, New Jersey, and Maryland have been called for Obama. This puts Obama in the lead for the time being. 77 to 34.
Update 8:17 p.m. EST: I am putting newest updates up top and putting the times on them.
Update: South Carolina called for McCain on FOX. No surprises yet. McCain 21, Obama 3.
FOX just called West Virginia for McCain. Their 5 electoral votes brings the total score to McCain 13, Obama 3.
Allapundit tells us the early states to watch:
Indiana and Virginia close at 7 p.m., Ohio and North Carolina follow half an hour later. McCain needs three at a bare minimum. Anything less, and you can start drinking. Hard liquor if you got it.
Update: Most media have projected that Kentucky goes to McCain and VT to Obama. This brings the tally so far to McCain 8, Obama 3 on the electoral score.
Hot Air has a AP’s map as they call the states.
Except for major news, I will be updating this post throughout the night with election results. Please add to the commentary in the comment section.
Exit polls are all anyone has to talk about right now, and they are in favor of Obama…however, not by much. Jim Geraghty tells the Dems not to celebrate yet, and Ace reminds Conservatives to ignore the exit polls.
PA: -4
VA: -2
NC: +2
FL: -1
OH: -1
However, Drudge says the lead in PA is +15.
Michelle Malkin is counting the votes too.

My god its true my country is full of either idiots ,socalist or cowards maybe all 3 at once.Oh well wonder if some kids in china will read about the fall of america one day and trace it to this point.
nm that the nazi part, the communist party, the socalist party, have all used the dhimi party to attack america
I am seriously concerned about the future of America, the land of Freedom, Capitalism, and Democracy, that my Father fled to from Communist Yugoslavia, after WW2, in order to build a new life, and raise a family.
It appears that America will have a Center/Left, possibly Socialist, Government in DC, while the people of the country may still basically actually be mostly Center/Right.
James, not me, the one who posted before me, obviously has no idea of what he speaks. Cowards, Socialists, or idiots…Wow, what a great thing to say. Maybe James needs to go do something with himself and learn the meanings behind those words. The ACLU is one of the driving forces behind your right to say such things, I still find it difficult to believe that conservatives don’t like the ACLU, because, the ACLU supports pretty much everything they stand for: civil liberties, Constitutional rights, and freedom of speech…What a gomer…
