Love it when I see a bunch of socialist kooks whine when people go after the ACLU. The ACLU is all for free speech anything goes as long as it is a leftist position. Otherwise, free speech is unacceptable. This is the same position as Obama– say anything as long as it is a leftist position. The same stuff espoused by Castro, Putin, Chavez. We aren’t going to tolerate the ACLU anymore.

  4. Ananiah McCarrell on November 3rd, 2008 12:15 pm

I think it’s funny that you people have spent the last 8 years whining about the Bush administration supposedly trying to limit your free speech, but the minute someone criticises your “god” Obama, you want to silence them. Thanks for showing us that you are the ones who are really the fascists. 99 out of 100 of you don’t know what Fascist means. Go wiki it, you’ll be amazed at how close Obama’s rhetoric is to classical fascism. Raising taxes and tariffs will kill the economy. The only reason some hack like Obama is taken seriously is because our population is too stupid to understand the consequences of his actions and also because of your blind hatred of the president for things that congress is also guilty of contributing to. Go get an education and come back.

You all are crazy, Palin has more of a place then BO should ever. He lies to are country and if you cant see that its because you never think about what he says and look out side of that. So when he raises taxes for all the people who worked hard to get and stay at the place there at and then there taxes go up for living out there dream. They will pass the tax to you and me threw the products we buy and need So not only is BO for raising taxes he is also for rasing the cost of living for you and I and now it looks like he wants to starve out coil familys. So when you go and vote just know that you are the reasson for higer taxes,Bussines leaving are land, Higher cost of living,We have the some of the best Doctors in the world here because of how it is. But not if BO wins. BO knows not a thing about war and we are not safe with him in control. one last thing everone blames Bush for economy but the truth is it was falling when he took over, He patched it and everything was great now the patch has broke and it is what it is so Blame the economy on the 8 years before Bush and Blame bush for a temp fix.

  6. Chris R on November 3rd, 2008 12:28 pm

And Palin is not whine she is letting people know what BO smells like. Most people dont under stand what his polcies will really do it just sounds good. Palin is letting ever one know the side effects and how bad it really is for you and me. It sounds like you are whine you dont want to truth out?

  7. Chris R on November 3rd, 2008 12:32 pm

aaron you should learn more about coil before you make a comment on it. You dont make your self look very smart when you talk about things you have no idea about.

There ain’t such a thing as “clean coal”…
Wake up people. Ain’t ya tired of politicians in wheel chairs, so old they don’t even know how to read this blog let alone start one.
It’s time for some young blood to take charge. POW is not a reason to be chosen president. And to get it straight, McCain isn’t “my friend” or speak for all service personnel. But make sure they have a little common sense and not just there for looks…
Ask McCain’s first wife what she thinks of him…

  10. Burt Vorteman on November 3rd, 2008 1:16 pm

    Labeling… its about labeling.

First The republicans label all democrats liberals. Then since that didnt work, they label all democrats leftists and communists.

Nothing like a 2 party country… or a one party country where the Republicans are always “Rightists” and every one else are wackos, liberals or lefty communists. Good going guys.

  11. Swami on November 3rd, 2008 1:19 pm

    YES!
Stop using coal in any form.
    No internal combustion engines.
    No nuclear power plants.
No oil drilling offshore or in Alaska’s wilderness.

    BANKRUPT the country ! ! !

  12. Ewa on November 3rd, 2008 1:24 pm

OB IS A SOCIALIST! He promises handouts to the poor so they elect him and stay dependent on him for help – just like in a Socialist country. He is going to enslave the very people who once were slaves. And all in the name of ideology! He is a charlatan and a conman! The moment he gets into the Office he will change everything he promised! He is frightening, has this creepy smile as if he just waits to win and wreak havoc on this great, free country! Who knows, maybe we will be lucky and be spared from him and the maniac Biden?

  13. The One on November 3rd, 2008 1:25 pm

If we elect McCain, and that old fart dies in office, that know nothing loser stupid bitch whore Palin will become the leader of this country. She will be our Nero, and she along with all of you lowlife lying principal-less Republicans will have the blood of a formerly great nation on your guns and swords.

That bitch is so stupid that we will be taking up arms in just a few years. Thank goodness our founding fathers had the sense enough to include the right to bear arms in the constitution. I can see that we are going to need to use it very soon.

  14. Doug on November 3rd, 2008 1:28 pm

If Palin should be taken off the ticket from abusing her powerin Alaska then biden should be removed for total plagerism.

You really want barak Hissein Obama as the president? His Aunt lives in Boston illigally and he has been connected with terror organizations.

Muslims killed over 3000 people on 9/11 and we want one running the country?

    wake up!!!

  15. Doug on November 3rd, 2008 1:32 pm

The One… You show just what uneducated people write posts. You have to attack people and swear.

Are you serious? You are just so far out of it.

You REALLY want a muslim that went to a radical muslim school, has ties to terrorist organizations as the president.

I am appauled by the amount of people that are fooled by this guy.

  16. Leonard H on November 3rd, 2008 1:37 pm

If you think the last 8 years were [edited],
wait until the next 4 years when your living under socialist rule.Obama is not a true democrat.Well maybe.but When you grow up in a family with a marxist mother and a muslim Father and step father, and all your friends are america haters,ie, Reverend Wright and William Ayers plus how many others you got to wonder, how soon before the constitution gets changed like he’s talked about,ie Our right to vote, freedom of speach.Wealth redistribution.Public truth squads or his so called civil security force. I thought that was why we had a national guard. Will see what next 4 years hold.
I’ll just say it now so I won’t have to say it in four years
I TOLD YOU SO P.S I wouldn’t be suprised if he tries to change the flag.

  17. Doug on November 3rd, 2008 1:37 pm

All, I am against the war. I do however think the war on terror is never over and needs to be fought. i also back our troops 100%.

I want change, I want better education, better health care, more jobs, a more stable economy.

I also want a president that doesn’t associate with terrorist symppthisers or radical pastors.

John McCain is a hero plain and simple. To doubt his commitment to America is idiotic. Yes he is old but he could live 20 more years!

I will admit I was baffled by Palin as a running mate though.

I am so tired of posts attacking any of the candidates like the post by (The One) calling Palin a whore and this and that…

This show an uneducated, rediculous, radical person. Grow up.

  18. Howard on November 3rd, 2008 1:42 pm

Obama’s social experiment … or, should I say Socialist experiment, will bring America to it’s knees! America has more coal than any other country in the world. Coal is one of America’s greatest natural resources, and our most abundant source of fuel. Our economy and our National Security is extremely intertwined with coal. We should be supporting and promoting clean coal. The thought that Obama would possibly bankrupt our coal industry is scary. Obama’s 20 year history of embracing radical ideas, radical people and radical change to our country allows this candidate with virtually no experience, to gamble with our constitution, our economy, our national security, and our future. Keep America safe and prosperous, … Elect McCain/Palin on November 4th !!!

  19. Doug on November 3rd, 2008 1:44 pm

What does anyone actually know about Obama?

He was a Musim, but changed so people would like him more. he went to a radical churchm but left only after we found out about it.

He went to a radical Muslim school as a child that produces students that hate America, but he says he only went there for awhile? (why did he even go at all)

He wants to make us a socialist country.

he took money from a man that headed a terrorist organization (but says he didn’t, when there are facts that he did.

here is a man that can speak very well and has pulled the wool over many Americans but has a very troubling past.

A Muslim, that went to a radical school, hangs out with terrorst organizers, goes to a church that is radical, changes his religion anf other thigs to fit in as a candidate.

has an aunt that is living in the country illegaly.

I still can’t beleive anyone is voting for him. Yeah I want chage but not to hand over the country to the enemy!

  20. Jeff on November 3rd, 2008 1:54 pm

“The One” said “Thank goodness our founding fathers had the sense enough to include the right to bear arms in the constitution. I can see that we are going to need to use it very soon” Are you really that stupid- One of the Democratic party’s big agenda ideas is gun control. Why do you think the people of the former Soviet Union never overthrew their government of communist elite- the first thing the soviets did was to disarm their own citizens. Every Principle that the Democratic party espouses is based on socialistic ideals- or to quote Obama “spreading the wealth around” as an example. If you enjoy your 2nd amendment rights, why would you back a party that makes no secret of their desire to abolish that same right?

  22. Kendrick on November 3rd, 2008 2:14 pm

I am not sure if any President could get the US trian back on track in 4 years or even eight, but I do know that McCain lost all credibility with me when he, or whom ever, made the decision to pick Palin as a runing mate. It is true that she is the only one with executive experience but being the governer of 500 thousand people doesn’t really count. There are alot of serious issues facing the country both internally and externally and with McCains age the is choice in running mate should have had more thought put into it then it appears. She may one day be a great national level politacian but now is not the time to take that gamble.

  23. Kendrick on November 3rd, 2008 2:23 pm

As far as the Muslim coment goes, OB has been attacked for his religous origins sever times since he started runing and none of the major media outlets, left or right, have found any thing that would suggest he is muslim. We all need to remember the you don’t have to be Muslim to be terrorist, if you recall there was a time in this country when christian dressed in white with there heads covered killed many blacks, there were also some people in Ireland that killed each other due to religious defferences and I am pretty sure that none of them were muslim or middle eastern. We as a country have allowed ourselves to fear an entire religion for no real reason. Were were attacked by radicals that happend to be muslims. The mindset that has been created has allowed us to forget our morals as a country and say that it is ok to kill innocent men women and children for the sake of freeing the world of terrorist, isn’t that what we were so upset about after 9/11 or did everyone forget.

  24. Sean on November 3rd, 2008 2:23 pm

I’ve always been an independent that leans just a bit left of center. I must say, though, that the last 2 elections have been frightening… this one in particular. To simplify things, I’ll focus on only 3 points here.

Taxes: What if BO is telling the truth about his tax plan & everyone “middle class” receives a tax break? Everyone seems to want to stick it to big business, all common-sense aside. So ask yourself this before you vote tomorrow: when Pelosi, Dean, Kennedy, Kerry, et all decide THEY want to submit bills to raise taxes & the left controls already controls both the house & senate, do you REALLY think that he, being left of most leftists is going to hit it w/ red ink? So big business passes the cost to consumers, medium business lays people off, small business probably collapses, and middle class gets their taxes raised anyway. Niiiiiiiice.

Security: OK, we’re talking about BO wanting to get on his knees to pray to the UN alter. Huh? With Russia moving quickly back to being exactly what it was AND having big, capitalist business interests like they’ve forbidden anyone in their country from having anymore AND having a permanent, veto-wielding position on the security counsel AND catering to the likes of Iran’s nuclear program (for good, bad, or indifferent reasons), do you REALLY think the UN is still a plausible, effective? And why in the name of all that’s good in this world would you want to sit down w/ rogues & dictators unconditionally? All this does is gratify & solidify their positions. To half those guys, just sitting down w/ the US justifies their actions regardless of how badly they’re acting. It affords them “recognition” as a power in the world. WAKE UP!!! We can NOT start rewarding bad behavior.

More on security: he wants to pull out of Iraq. Great. I’d love for our troops to come home. Doesn’t matter how we got there, we’re there NOW & have to deal w/ that. “They” say we’re going to be in Iraq until NOBODY dies anymore & that’s the plan of the right. OK, so? Read your history & find out how long it took to stabilize Germany & Japan after WWII ended. Guess what, folks? WE’RE STILL THERE. It’s called having friends & a presence all over the world, and to have more presence in the middle east would NOT be a bad thing (assuming we can mind our manners).

Economy: I don’t particularly care for Mr. Bush. However, there’s 2 inarguable truths in play.
    1) the tax cuts provided RECORD revenue generation for Washington
    2) we’ve had the strongest economic growth under this administration. Bush didn’t cause the fall of our economy, yet everyone wants to finger him for it. What’s up with THAT?!? People signing for loans they couldn’t pay & banks not vetting their loan applicants caused this. Look in the mirror & at your neighbors; that’s where the blame lays.

  25. Kendrick on November 3rd, 2008 2:25 pm

Before some says it I do have several family members in the military, and 2 of them served over seas, one in desert storm and another in Afganastan and I do support our troops. I am just not sure if the directions that they are being given are the right ones.

  26. Chris on November 3rd, 2008 2:37 pm

Well i can see by reading all the posts of the McCain supporters that each day we get closer to having a decent human being (Obama) who realizes that Bush and his followers have destroyed the world in less than 2 terms, these people get more and more worried.

Good. You should be worried. Because racist, bigot, bloated, SUV driving, single-minded, ignorant, self-serving, corrupt people like yourselves who only have success (if you have money) because of people like George W. Bush and the banking systems deregulated by the Credit Card, err.. republican party make sure people like you keep capitalizing on your greed – you people will have no place to run or hide. All you bigots will be squeezed right out of the country like a maggot out of a republican’s fecies or like a zit ready to pop. REPUBLICANS are the people who weren’t people or cool in high school and they cary that resentment the rest of their lives trying to control others and keep them down so they can be on top. Once their corruption gets them money and success they keep people down with crimes against humanity and mislabeling people. You suck republicans!

  27. Jeff on November 3rd, 2008 2:38 pm

The One-Where do you get your fary tales from? Gun control has been implimented in many country’s around the world with the same verifiable effect- crime goes up. Why is that? Because [edited], criminals don’t care what laws say about gun ownership, because criminals don’t go into legitimate gun or sporting goods stores to buy their weapons- law abiding citizens go there to buy their own, I know it’s used often, but the phrase “If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have them” and those same criminals sure as hell won’t be registering their guns. Just research your theory a little bit, and you’ll find that the facts just don’t bear out your argument. Look at Australia, first it was manditory gun registration,, then shortly thereafter they kept moving it one step after another until they started confiscating those same guns that people had registered. Freedom must be maintained- not given up one small step at a time, until one day you look back and realize that you’ve lost all of your freedom.

It is truly sad to see that the majority of people who want to vote for O’Bama are all so ignorant. They are sheeple following the pided piper. He will screw all of you once he is in. He is going to take from not only the rich, but from the middle class as well, and he is going to turn around and give it all away to his favored certain groups. Celebrities like him because they want to be on the band-wagon. What do they have to worry about? They all have tons of money, even if they get taxed more (which I doubt will happen, after all everything really is done through Congress, and most of them are bought too! Just like this election has been bought)most of them won’t even feel it. If you can spend $2,000 on a purse, you are so out of contact with the real people, and real everyday life. I bet Oprah never looks at the cost of ground beef, and wonders if she can stretch it for the whole family. I won’t even get into all the voter fraud that is happening. Early, unmonitored voting? Convicted felons and undocumented aliens are voting!!! Since when have we had this? We always had absenty ballots, but not like this. I guess this way they can vote more than once.

As far a Sarah Palin is concerned, it is disgusting that ignorant people like “One on November” can only go on and swear and say hateful things. Look up the meaning of your words before you use them. Sarah does not fit into the definition of the word whore”. She is so above people like you. What a low life you are “One on Nov”. Don’t make any real points, just show your [edited].
People WAKE UP. Don’t put O’Bama in office. He will bring up to our knees and will sell us out so fast you won’t even know what happened. When has an American Presendintial Candidate campainged in Europe? His redirict makes me sick. John McCain is much older, but with age comes experience. Even young men die, so you really can’t go there. O’Bama could have a heart attack too. Just being in good shape doesn’t always mean you’re healthy. Jim Fix, marathon runner and author, was in great shape, and died of a heart attack at a relatively young age.

Can you just imagine the attitudes that will come out if he is put into office. Don’t worry about what’s happening in Washington, look at how it will effect your own neighborhood. His followers are going to think they are above the law. I’ve already seen examples of it in my office as well as in stores, etc. I live near Chicago, and I’m afraid they are going to burn the city down, weither he wins or looses. That’s what happened after the Bulls won. I guess the mentality if that you destroy others property in order to celebrate??? I truly don’t understand that. What arrogance to have a celebration planned even before the election. 70,000 people with tickets and possibly up to 1 million to desend on the lake front. Daley is such a kiss up to let this happen. What about all the extra police they will need. All the overtime, is the campaign paying for that too? Or are the lucky people of Chicago getting stuck with the bill? You’re taxes are going to this, weither you want O’Bama or not.

God Bless America! Please Lord, give the wisdom to enough people to keep this country Great.

Sean I agree with you but about pointing fingers. You can the 8 years before Bush when the Dem’s made banks lower the standered for lending. So now they see why the stand was higher but they all blame Bush. We would had crashed in 2001 but Bush made a patch to keep it from happing then but it broke.

As for the comment about Palin being in charge of 500,000 people and the largest state. BO has been in charge of his family and what makes him ready for the biggest job his mouth? at least Palin is only running for vice P and is a better pick then BO.

  32. Chris R on November 3rd, 2008 3:25 pm

I live in Maryland and we have factory outlets not far from me where they had people come in and buy really high $ pruises and had on BO shirts telling every one they are going to a dinner that he would be at and had to look good. Well they got cloths from a few stores as well. They paid with checks that are fake. Is this a start to what is going to happen?

The coal industry will be bankrupt and my company and it’s invention will make ALL coal fired power plants disappear. People will be able to generate FREE electricity from a device in their own home. You can also kiss goodbye having to pay home heating bills as this device produces enough electricity to also fire-up your water heater and electric furnace. Its called “corporate free” independence. Never having to rely on the power and gas companies to suck you dry every month.

  42. rick sprague on November 3rd, 2008 5:01 pm

After hearing the Palin response to burning our way out of our energy needs I am a bit puzzled why she did not call it clean coal?
there is nothing clean about coal. and clean coal is a coal industry buzz word for an reverse underground smoke stack thats it.

Clean as far as the air for now but it will take over 20% energy to turn it into a liquid and then bury it. thats not clean and the envioirmental risk can be devestating to ground water and leakage.

Those old coal states can retool to the newer renewable energy options and move away from coal. Some enviormentalist agree that what industry calls clean coal should be developed to add to existing coal burning plants and some are not. China would be the perfect example to transfer this tec as they have enourmous energy needs and we can add them here very carefully with a work plan to close them also in time.
The state of Mi for example has old caol despratly seeking to build one two maybe more out of several proposed sites that were recently wittled down by the state based on need not greed and recently one coal exec said they would not convert to new renewables like the example set by a western state, CO.
If that industry had its way in Mi they would build perhaps several in this state and they slash out at the enviormentalist as tree huggers and unrealistic to counter the no coal people.

We must not build new coal plants and then wait for the cure though this is possible but why do so when there are known renewables that can produce energy like wind solar and tidal turbines.

Wow. There sure are a whole lot of misinformed, idiotic, unpatriotic comments in this blog. Obama is not a Muslim. Fact. Obama is not a socialist. Fact. Palin is not qualified. Fact. Obama is not raising taxes, he is ending tax cut Bush enacted for rich people and corporations. Fact. Pull your heads out of your butts and start doing your homework. Just because you read that some of the LIES about Obama (who, by the way, is not my “Messiah” but the better of the two candidates in my book) are true on some right wingnut’s blog does not mean they are true. The converse is also true that McCain is not the freaking Anti-christ. Why in the world does everyone have to believe all the complete and utter NONSENSE that they read? This is why America is such a joke right now to other countries- because we aren’t knowledgeable as a whole, yet cling to completely unfounded beliefs. Didn’t we get enough of that idiocy with George W Bush? GROW UP PEOPLE.

TheOne it seems is against the Republicans, but seems to really enjoy the 2nd amendment. How long do you think that will hold up with Barack? If we can’t get away from stereotypical Democrats and Republicans nothing will improve. Even in politics it’s all brand recognition. Quit being sheep, the wolves will eat you.

  46. Tebow on November 3rd, 2008 6:57 pm

Here’s just a thought. First of all it seems pretty clear that most of these posts are from individuals who have limited experience with the the English language, or who are simply too blinded by all the rhetoric and propaganda to see clearly enough to punch the right keys on their respective keboards. That aside, however, all the points that were made are blatantly clear. We still live in a divided America, and regardless to who wins this election, America’s citizens are the ones who are going to have to step up to the plate to right all of its so-called wrongs. Without a doubt, John McCain has served this country well, but according to the propaganda I’ve read, he seems to have spent more time during this campaign trying to discredit Barrack Obama than he has trying to promote himself and his platform. I would think that trying to convince America of things that aren’t as obvious as they might appear in regards to Obama’s background is far less inportant than McCain telling America how he became a “War Hero” and how that qualifies him to be the next Commander -in-Chief. Experience is a significant factor in any endeavor, but it should not trump intelligence. Clearly, Barrack has exhibited a level of intelligence that supercedes that of his opponent, both in his diction as well as with his credentials. In these trying times, We don’t need another hero. What we need is a leader with a level head who has ability to select supporters who are experienced in areas where he may be lacking and allow those individuals to advise him. All of the posts have been careful not to mention race, but for the record, Obama equally represents both races. His mother is a white woman from the heartland, Kansas, and his father is a black man from Africa. It doesn’t get much more diverse than that. As for his early years in school, he didn’t have any say-so in those matters, but when he did take control of his own life, he clearly chose Christianity. As a civil servant myself, I only wish I knew the backgrounds of the many individuals with whom I serve on various boards of directors.I haven’t aclue about what any of them did 40 years ago, or with which groups they have been associated. Finally, while rehashing Obama’s association with Jeremiah Wright, don’t forget to visit the Republican’s association with Francis Schaeffer, which included advisement to Presidents Ford, Reagan, and Bush Sr.

Relax my fellow faithful republicans. Once again, the Dems are going to wake up Wednesday morning and find they have another Republican President who beat their ultra-liberal loser, for the third consecutive time, and AGAIN they will be perplexed….they don’t understand you CANNOT put an ultra-liberal on their ticket and win Reagan Democrates and Independents, no matter how bad they try to paint domestic or foreign policy. Remember Jimmy Carter, double digit inflation and unemployment, failed military missions, and American Hostages used as human sheilds in Iranian Factories..???? Well Obama’s programs are ALL the same as Carter’s, they are not NEW Change they are RETRO.

Relax my friends, Wednesday will see President Elect John McCain and Vice-President Elect Sara Palin….

BYE-BYE ‘BAMA, Back to the Senate with you!!!!

  48. McCain is the Al Davis of politics on November 3rd, 2008 8:17 pm

I would rather have Jimmy Carter, even at his current age, than John McCain at any age. McCain grew up rich, his first car was a 1958 Corvette. He currently owns 8 houses and 13 cars. This guy is only thinking about keeping his friends and himself rich and having more power. People like this don’t run for President to make the world a better place. As far as he knows the world is just the way he wants it.

  50. Coal Miner on November 3rd, 2008 8:37 pm

All of the people who don’t approve of coal should look at how many of their power plants are coal fired. Just turn off your totally electric homes, and shiver and shake it will help you to appreciate those who give of their sweat and blood to keep you warm and toasty, and American Industry Grinding. So turn off Coal if you Must!!, but remember you had better have a better alternative before you do, because the United State will surely collapse

  51. RI on November 3rd, 2008 10:04 pm

Yes, these are tough times. Our country is constantly changing. When it becomes easy for everyone, then we are not advancing. OB is a US Senator for 1 year and declares he is running for President. Who told him he was ready? Was he in that postion long enough to have absorbed all the best from the other 99 Senators? According to the Democratic Party, and the electorial process, this is their candidate. The private sector demands extreme knowledge and proven ability before further responsibility is bestowed on an individual or company before a promotion or sale is closed. Any election is no more than a sale. Nothing more, nothing less. You buy because you either have a need or a want. OB has not earned what most Americans go through to get a promotion. He is the yes man we have all seen everywhere in the work force. He will not be making the decisions because at this level he has not made any mistakes, because he has not had time to learn his current job. In my opinion every idea he has belongs to someone else. He has no job experience. So, you are not voting for OB, you are voting for a party.

  52. American on November 3rd, 2008 11:46 pm

To the undecided…figure out who you trust the least and vote for the other guy.
TO Obama supporters…are you mentally ill,fag loving, baby killing, socialist who will sell out America to the politician that has the fourth highest associate word for an Obama web search being the word anti-christ? Or maybe your white and have some misplaced guilt over slavery, check your calender year stupid ,none of us were alive then.Or maybe because your on the lower income range and your selling your vote for money…Judus!

  53. chris venzor on November 4th, 2008 3:48 am

I guess if you think you can do a better job than anyone running for president, you can just write your own name in, The president elect did, don’t kid yourself, you get what you pay for, if less than 40% of america votes, we’ll get 40% of what is promised,

Only in the US does doing something for the common good carry so much stigma.

A 3% increase in taxes for the super wealthy? First of all – most of you Republican schmucks will probably never make so much money, so the tax increase should never affect you.

Secondly, a 3% increase is nothing – I am an Indian immigrant into this country and make over $250K a year. And I will gladly pay the tax increase to give back to this country that has given me so much.

Third – helping a community so people don’t resort to violence? That directly affects me and my kids. A 3% increase for that? Where do I sign up?

I still cannot understand how Palin can even think about saying Obama does not have the experience for the Presidency, when she is a hockey mom from a one horse town.

And finally Doug – you’re so afraid of a Muslim running the country. First of all, he’s not one. Secondly your hero George Dubya is a devout Christian. Ask yourself how many Americans he has sent to their deaths in Iraq.

  57. william on November 4th, 2008 8:45 am

It’s pay me now or pay me later. I have a child and i don’t think it is fair he has to pay for our mistakes. I say we pay now.
As far as christianity is concerned, go ask other religons what their feelings are, you might not get the answer you are looking for.
Oh, and no wonder the republicans are forcast to lose, they have this baby saving, pro life, pro christian thing spun out of control. people like to have a say in their life. if that means over life, death, health and welfare, they should vote BO. I would vote replublican if they kept the whole religon and abortion thing off the table.

  58. jnweaver on November 4th, 2008 8:54 am

when will the american people wake up to reality that we need a third party in this country dont you find it somewhat unusual that the democrats and republicans diagree on about every issue that is important such as taxes education energy finance foreign policy gun control medical research pretty much everything these are not dumb people they both cant be so wrong on everything in actuality we need changes that lie somewhere between their views hence a third party and lets call it the common sense party at least this way we can really spread the wealth when we can and spread the sacrafice when we need to for the good of this great nation

  59. M.M.J on November 4th, 2008 8:58 am

I’m 53 years old and been an informed voter since the day I could vote. I’ve voted for Democrates and republicans both. I have come to the conclusion that unless we see a third party that has the resources and candidates
to field a national ticket things aren’t gooing to improve. Both parties we have now will tell anyone, anything to be elected. Both parties love to see how they keep us devided and at each others throats. It keeps them in power.

  60. craig loughery on November 4th, 2008 9:59 am

spreading the wealth? socialism doesn’t spread wealth, it spreads poverty.

  61. jon r on November 4th, 2008 11:00 am

i feel sorry for all of you Obama supporters. i just can not understand why you feel it is necessary to have the government take care of you. you can not afford a house so the government should make housing affordable. you can not afford insurance so the government should make health care a “right”. you did not do well in school so the government should make sure that you earn enough money. you do not have to pay taxes because you do not have a good paying job due to your lack of an education and/or bad personal choices in your life so the the government should “spread the wealth” to you. I guess that is the basic diference between a republican and a democrat – a republican wants the government to get out of the way of the individual and a democrat wants the government to take care of them. i guess i will never understand that philosophy and with the “probale” election of Obama will lament the ending of the United States of America and the beginning of the Socialist States of America.

  62. Chris R on November 4th, 2008 11:45 am

Hey Som it’s not about if you make $250k or not. It’s about right and wrong. If you want to give %3 of your hard made money to some one and not have any say in how it is spent you can and you would be a good person for doing so. But let me tell you when you speek do it for your self because its not right to have the gov take from the hard working people of this land for working harder and making jobs. What they will do is pay the tax and pass it down by charging more for there products. So the cost of living will go up for all the hard working people out there. But the ones who work the gov will have more food stamps, and paid places to live. Then insteed of BO slowly trying to do away with coal and working that industry into a new thing he will bankrupted them. Nice thing to say to people when you want Votes.

The guy who said he was for the Mac but he talked about relegion and abortion and is now for BO those are big issues in this contry. In God we trust. I God we trust I dont trust BO. With abortion it not telling any one what to do with there body it telling them they cant kill the baby inside there body. What if you where an abortion child?

  63. bababouy on November 4th, 2008 12:35 pm

I love how everyone thinks they know what they are talking about when it comes to politics, “obama is a muslim and a socialist”. People will believe only what they want to hear whether it is true or not. America is in the situation it is in because people vote for their party like they are routing for a football team. It doesn’t matter whether the candidate is an idiot or a genius…republicans would rather vote for a idiotic, dangerous president that is republican then a smart capable democrat, and vice versa for democrat voters. Thank god for independents, they are who really decide the direction of the country.

  64. Samantha on November 4th, 2008 8:11 pm

It’s not a matter of simply believing Obama is a socialist because someone said he is – it’s his actions and policies that make him that way. Call a spade a spade – it is what it is, and you either support it or you don’t. I personally can not understand allowing someone to literally walk into our homes and decide how our hard-earned income should be spent, how we can elect a man who has associated with the elite of lunacy (would you even work for someone like that?), ignore every single lie he has told and still have any respect for him, brush aside his desire to destroy a major aspect of our economy, or allow him to place his hand on the bible and swear in as leader of this country when he plans to completely disregard the consitution.

It’s all right in front of you, and those of you who are not afraid of Obama, now – will be.
