Let's also not forget that an applicant for the highest security clearance is entitled to no presumption of innocence on that. Associations of the kind you detail are disqualifying even at much lower levels of security clearance. Here, though, it is the voters who give that clearance, and they do not determine guilt 'by association' or otherwise when voting. Thanks for publishing this.
