McCain Endorsing Journalists Thrown off Obama’s Campaign Plane!

Posted on October 31, 2008

-By Warner Todd Huston

ALERT! Senator Obama has thrown off his campaign plane the members of the press representing the New York Post, Washington Times and Dallas Morning News — papers that endorsed John McCain for president. According to an exclusive from Drudge this happened yesterday night, Oct. 30.

As Drudge has it, some are saying that the Obama campaign is trying to “make room” for network bigwigs and a documentary crew attempting to cover Obama’s last remaining days on the campaign trail.

Now, let me recap a paragraph from Obama’s plea to the nutroots to play nice:

But to the degree that we brook no dissent within the Democratic Party, and demand fealty to the one, “true” progressive vision for the country, we risk the very thoughtfulness and openness to new ideas that are required to move this country forward.

But, is throwing off his plane journalists that disagree with him an example of Barack “reaching across the aisle”? Is this his idea of a “new” politics, one of “bipartisan” principles? Dissent from his positions and be banished???

I guess Obama’s intention to play nice and doing away with “brooking no dissent” is suddenly not so important when one wants to win the White House. Let’s “get in their face,” instead, eh Senator Obama?

Would you expect anyhtingelse from this empty suit? He is so into himself and his taking of our country and it does not stop. It started with Joe the Plumber and then he attact him with such hate. I am not surprised and now the media can see the truth as they get the tingly feeling running up their legs!

    Badda Boom

Just the tip of the Iceberg. Just imagine the censorship that will surround an Obama Whitehouse. So much for the Transparency in Government “The Great One” spews. This man is a phony, I’ve known it for 14 months. Everyday he brings a new meaning to “I told you so.” What a gift, I didn’t even have to wait until after the election to call out the Obama worshippers.

  3. Buddynoel on October 31st, 2008 10:39 am

    Don’t worry.
Those journalists will be invited back once they have completed a stay at the upcoming Obama retraining camps being run by his new domestic defense corps. Once they learn to agree with Obama, we can finally have a bipartisan country like Pelosi and Reid have demanded.

  4. Dave on October 31st, 2008 11:33 am

    Mike,
He attacked(it’s with a “k” not a “t”) Joe the Plummer? Did you even watch the interaction with Obama and Joe? Apparently not, your just satisfied to get the lies second hand and then just repeat them.
    Debbie,
You repub’s just love your “vote for us” fear mongering don’t you. Do you not remember our current pres spying on Americans just because he though he could?

Much like everyone else in his life, once he is done with them, under the bus they go.

    Reverend Wright
    Bill Ayers
    Grandma
The press that doesn’t bend knee….

I see some significant psychological pathology here. But, hey, get ready for King Obama!

  7. xerocky on October 31st, 2008 12:49 pm

“You people are the reason this country is going downhill”

Who are you talking about? With those Obama supporters it’s always “you people” this and “them people” that.

  8. Jackie on October 31st, 2008 12:54 pm

Yap, suppress the media that doesn’t support
Obama. Everyday, he’s looking more and more
like Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and all the other dictators of the world. I thought I left my birth country 30 years ago for a better life in a better country. With him as president, it’ll be like living in a third world country again.

  9. FBW on October 31st, 2008 1:31 pm

Ok you right wingnuts. Before you start screaming Dictator (nad for goodness sake, learn how to spell willya?) read the following posted by one of the journalists who lost his seat.

    LONG LIVE THE ACLU!

  10. Charles on October 31st, 2008 1:37 pm

I’m not entirely sure how this post directly advances my understanding of possible detriments of the ACLU, or foundational topics, e.g. legal theory or specific political decisions that bear weight on civil liberties. I appreciate reading well-written critiques of these, thus my readership. Is it possible to have less of these topically unsubstantial and irrelevant posts and more on-topic posts (that is, if the primary aim is as the blog title suggests)? Thanks!

What post are you referencing? Mine? What did you mean to say? I am an educated man, and your post is beyond my understanding.

  12. rangoons on October 31st, 2008 2:12 pm

I am not sure who I will vote for. I do know that I do not trust Barack Obama more than I distrust John McCain. I have been trying to figure out why my dislike/ distrust of Obama continues to grow while I remain just plain lethargic about McCain.
I think I’ve figured it out.
When Obama first broke on the scene, I saw him as most followers still do, as refreshing, not connected, and smart. As a white person I thought if we elect a black president who youth can identify with it would be a huge inspiration for young black children and could possibly help give poor kids white and black a reason to try harder in school
Well that might still be the case but as an adult I see Obama for what he really is. Nothing more than another politician who luckier than most was able to catch a wave of popularity ( having done nothing to deserve it) and will probably ride it to the WhiteHouse. While there are major differences in the way Obama and I see the world, ( I will get to that in future blogs).
Here is the main reasons why I don’t like Barack Obama,
    He Is a Liar.
During his infomercial the other night they replayed a speech where Barack said that he would put a 90 day moratorium on mortage forclosures for those that are making a good faith effort to pay their loans. That sounds so nice. He is speaking to the same people who were led to believe by mortage brokers and banks that they could afford something they couldn’t, A mortage. My problem with Obama is that just like the bankers and brokers he is lying to the people many of whom were not smart enough to see that they were being swindled. They acually believe he will take the money from rich and give it to poor people so that they won’t lose their house.
In the same speech he promised to hire more teachers and to pay them better. Which school district is the president going to start hiring teachers for and I guess once again he will take money from rich people to pay for them.
During the second debate both candidates were asked and neither answered a question about since we are in such rough economic times which of your promises will you have to cut back on. It was just Obama not telling the truth again.
If only there could be a leader that we could just take at his or her word.

  14. Charles on October 31st, 2008 2:41 pm

Haha, no FBW, I wasn’t referring to your post; I was referring to the original post (i.e. the blog post, not any commenter post). My comment was intended to steer posts and discussions on this blog to issues bearing more weight on civil liberties than one (of literally hundreds to thousands) alleged journalist-related action by a campain, no less one of dubious interpretation (and for that later end, I appreciate your post, FBW).

  15. Charles on October 31st, 2008 2:49 pm

And, FBW: my apologies for any unnecessary stresses arising from my post. It was certainly not my intention. Given my time of post it was inevetiably posted directly after yours, and while I thought my post was clearly directed at the blog entry topic, apparently it wasn’t as clear to others as it it needed to be. Cheers!

  17. Larry Payne on October 31st, 2008 8:26 pm

I would have booted off too. How many Obama supporters do you suppose are traveling with McCain or Palin. As for Obama he did venture into enemy territory and sit down with Bill O’Rilley in fact his poll numbers actually begin to trend upward after that interview. I am still waiting to see McCain or Palin sitting across from Kieth Oberman or Chris Mathews.

As an “independent” and after working very
    hard researching both parties involved
I finally finished my mail in vote and it was
an easy choice. Put this country in the hands
of a man who has literally done nothing
for “her”, or in the hands of the man who
has dedicated his life to “her”.

Senator Obama is not only a liar but the question should be “who is he really???”.

Has it ever been proved that Obama is an American — unless he is he can never become President? I understand there is a judicial inquiry and an order to provide a legal birth certificate.

And we must not abide Obama receiving funds from foreign donors. He is trying to buy this election

  21. Alfie on October 31st, 2008 8:44 pm

while what obama is doing isn’t nice, is what he’s doing wrong?

think about it: he’s trying to win. what sense is it to keep people in his company that won’t keep him in a positive light, but will for McCain?

could you see honestly see McCain keeping Obama supporters on his “campaign plane”?

let’s not be silly. this is a dumb article.

  22. Harrison on October 31st, 2008 8:46 pm

Well Republicans, McCain threw off the press from his campaign bus and it was not a big deal for you. You accuse Obama with the same things that McCain himself did before. You double standard hypocrites and liers!

How stupid for some people to suggest that Obama, a USA senator, is not a citizen. This shows a proof of deep frustration on Republicans trying to win the election by lies and smears. Unfortunately, some people think they are “more citizens” than others. How pathetic!

  29. Warner Todd Huston on October 31st, 2008 9:09 pm

Man. A bunch of good mind-numbed Obamabots visiting today with their unthinking MoveOn.org talking points, I see.

    But, I can’t let this lie stand…

TIME magazine’s lead political reporter, Joe Klein, was kicked off the McCain plane some time ago. What did Drudge have to say about this?

There is NO comparison to what Obama did. It is true that Klein and Dowd were kicked off McCain’s plane. But THEY are not journalists. They are opinion editorialists.

Your Obamessiah kicked off NEWS people. Obama is trying to squelch the NEWS. Further he has shown a fascist need to do so. He wants the badly named “Fairness Doctrine” reinstated to quash radio. He wanted radio host Milt Rosenberg thrown off the air in Chicago and he’s tried to get the Attorney General of the states to shut down political ads that oppose him.

Obama is as fascist as Hugo Chavez, for sure.

There is a BIG difference between the actions of the new Nazi leader and McCain kicking off two loudmouthed opinionists off his plane!

  30. Lisa on October 31st, 2008 9:11 pm

Barack Obama is an ivy league elitist who is more then willing to share my tax money but not his own. I understand he gave a whopping $3500 to charities last year – seems like someone living in a home worth well over a million dollars could spread a lot more of his own wealth!! – I am sorry – I work hard for my money!!! Enough of my money is spread around to pay taxes – hello, the more money you make in this country the more tax you pay!

  31. shane on October 31st, 2008 9:18 pm

For those who spread this hate of issues they obviously havent explored… Can anyone with half a brain honestly call Senator Obama a liar and not point that same finger at Senator McCain? I can guarantee if ANYONE wanted to debate that issue, there are decades more of examples on the pile of lies McCain has spread. He started his career based on lies… And Im still stunned that ANYONE preaching McCain/Palin could call anyone uneducated. The hope people are clinging to is one that brings us above the kind of politics I have seen from the Republican party in the last decade and from this disgusting campaign of fear and hate. If anyone was to actually pay attention, they would notice McCain betting the farm that Americans are too stupid to notice his bs. Not this American. Oh, and Gus, please, seek professional help, seriously.

  32. Randi Scott on October 31st, 2008 9:31 pm

That old mess you still trying to hang on to need to be trashed everyone else has moved on. I love you and its nothing you can do about it.

  34. Elizabeth on October 31st, 2008 9:34 pm

Just because money isn’t on a tax return doesn’t mean that it was not donated. The ones that put it on the return are the ones who want a tax break.

Is McCain’s wife is an elitist? One of her outfits cost over $300,000. I don’t see how Obama is an elitist and McCain is not. Since Mrs. McCain shares over 7 homes with him, I am sure that she shares money also. I think the homes are worth a couple of million.

  46. mike on October 31st, 2008 10:28 pm

    The reason this country is
    going down hill???
    The goverment is in debt.
The people of this country are in debt.
Our country and it’s people are morally
    and financially bankrupt.
We lost twice as much money to crime
this year as we spent on the war.
We murdered 1.3 million unborn babies
    this year…

Obama does not care if he
is stealing our money to feed God’s
poor or the devil’s poor. Either way
it’s the people’s money not his’. Thief.

    We as indivials are responsible,accountable
    for who ever gets elected.

A socialist Omaba who’s morals about
taking from the rich will get him lots
of votes because of our laziness, greed,
and altristic ignorance; but drive us
into a depression that made the last one
look like a sunday picnic; communism
and socialism always does this to
    countries who embrace these doctrines.
Go ahead and vote away our freedoms and
watch what happens to the country.
    He is evil!
    Free stuff from the goverment,
    bale outs,(theft)plan and simple.
If we are blind to this then we let it
happen and are to blame for the results.

How can Obama Hussien pay for gaint
programs when we can not pay for the programs we all ready have?
We are evil if we vote for evil.

A dottey McCain maybe safer, but we as
a people and a goverment need to change
    intelectually and morally real fast.

Mitt Rommeny was a good choice,
honest to his wife, family and God. We
could have trusted him. But we rejected
him. We chose these two candidates.
We did not care enough about the ecomomy
or virtue back when he was running.

    Ghandi said:
    “we can not seperate our
    personal morals from our public”
but our country is saying we can lie privatly but still be honest in public postions,or who cares as long as we
get what we need, or want.
    Ignorance and a lake of
integerty has a very high price
when we have to finnally pay.

We are worried about Obama throwing reporters off a plane. Who would listen, care, or understand what they had to
    say any way?

God will bless America until we become
    Sadam Hussien Obama and gamorrah.

  51. Linda Ward on October 31st, 2008 10:58 pm

I think the reason I cannot vote for Obama, is mainly because he refused to place his hand on the Bible when he was sworn in, he refused to wear the flag pin that all politicians wear, he refuses to honor our flag,(has commented that he will change our flag?)and refuses to say the pledge of allegiance.
WHAT KIND OF PERSON RUNS FOR PRESIDENT WHO CANNOT RESPECT OUR COUNTRY ENOUGH TO SWEAR HIS OATH OVER THE BIBLE,(which is used in every courtroom to swear your promise of telling the truth,) SHOW RESPECT TO THE FLAG AND PLEDGE THAT REPRESENTS HONORING OUR COUNTRY?
I wish he would move to another country and run for office there. Better yet, how about Iceland? He would be great there! Of course the AntiChrist would be chilly there so he wants a more warmer climate…

I want to move to Austrailia if he wins!

I hardly think his pampered behind would have lasted 5 days much less 5YEARS in a POW camp! (no maid, butler, or gourmet food!)

I will vote for the man who served his country with HONOR and INTEGRITY, and who KNOWS first hand what war means, and especially to those who are fighting. A man who survives a POW camp, and comes back determined to make the US a better place, A man who doesnt care if he makes friends, and a man who is NOT afraid to do what is right, even if it means being UNPOPULAR!
Obama would cry himself to sleep rather than to be UNPOPULAR!….. Greek pillars? At a convention? The money he has spent on himself and his campaign are just a demonstration of how he will spend uncaringly our hard earned money on HIS desires for the US.

I would not trust him to scoop my dogs poo poo from my back yard.

VOTE FOR EXPERIENCE! WE ARE AT WAR!
    VOTE McCAIN!

PS. Palin is a rebel with a cause, and I have no doubt that she is NOT afraid to stand toe to toe with any good ole boy in Washington and set them straight….all with a smile and manners! Go PALIN!

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY QUESTIONS TO ASK ABOUT THIS MAN? NO PRESIDENT IN OUR HOME SWEET HOME HAS EVER HAD SO MANY QUESTIONABLE SITUATIONS. IF WE THINK THE TAPE THE L.A. TIMES IS HOLDING IS IMPORTANT, JUST WAIT…AS WE HAVE…THERE WILL BE MORE….THIS MAN CARRIES A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE TRAIL EVERY WHERE HE HAS BEEN. WHO WOULD YOU VOTE FOR IF ONLY HE AND HILLARY WERE RUNNING…. THINK HARD ABOUT YOUR WHYS TO YOUR ANSWER.

It’s funny how people point out the unnecessary information about America’s political candidates. I don’t care about Obama kicking journalist’s off a plane or the GOP forking up 150k for Palin! I DON’T CARE! The media is ridiculous. Yahoo, NBC, CNN, and ABC should all just stop with their nonsense and discuss decent, intelligent and significant information about our political candidates. Not a bunch of garbage.

They need to stop being so biased and shining the light on Mr. Obama 24/7, because everywhere I look, there he is.

I’m sick of seeing his face on t-shirts aimed towards high school students WHO CAN’T VOTE. I’m sick of being criticized, yelled at, and disgusted by Obama-followers when I wear a McCain pin. I am entitled to my own opinion and the way the so-called liberals react towards that is pitiful.

Show some respect to people, no matter who they support, and don’t be so nasty about it.

I get criticized for being racist, and unintelligent because I happen to support McCain. I am neither of those.

Obama is a gracious, intelligent and a spoken man. I respect him as much as I do for John McCain. Just because I may be a supporter of McCain does not mean I “hate” Obama, nor does it mean that I do not favor his supporters. I’m far from that. I understand it’s their opinion and Obama is a good man, but I believe he is not suitable for presidency.

And no matter who wins the presidency this coming Tuesday, I’ll accept it anyway. He’s my president and he deserves my utmost respect.

    That’s just my two cents.
    :]

Obama wants to do away with the tax cuts on Exxon and use it for the people. How do people think roads, schools, hospitals and this bailout will be paid for.
If this is a socialist attitude what do we call it when Alaska charges a windfall profits tax on oil companies and gives all Alaska families a check.
And you don’t have to be poor to agree with Obama. My taxes and Warren Buffetts who agrees with Obama’s taxes may rise. But I would rather help the guy at the bottom then have to pay a bailout and give the executives a bonus.

Macy Montegomery: Why does skin color matter? Why does race matter? It shouldn’t. And you make it sound like your race and the other races are different species (we people, you people).

You are no different than anybody else, my friend. We’re all human, and the fact that you’re bringing skin color and race into this is simply silly. I happen to be a white female, but does that matter? Of course not!

You are not smarter than me, and I am not smarter than you. And if that is a possibility that someone may be more intelligent than someone else, certainly does not mean they’re better than you. I don’t know where you’re pulling that from. No one is better than anybody. No one.

African-Americans have had a long, unfortunate, history, but, that’s in the past, Macy. Racism is still around today, I know, but please, don’t dwell on it. Don’t bring up such an issue that does not need to be mentioned. We’ve made our mistakes and we learned from them, I know. Like I said, don’t make racism an issue. Not now.

Iam sure the money he has been getting is from all the good friends that he has been hanging around with. Iam sure they will have a great party in the white house and laugh their you know whats off and say that they didn’t think it would be that easy. If any of you did their homework about obama you would know that he help start the housing market crash. Acorn was the start of selling houses to people that they new couldn’t afford them. Wow, I can’t believe how much garbage we as a nation is willing to believe. Obama has not lied, nor has he changed his mind on taxes. Others have misstated what he has said over and over again. IF YOU MAKE MORE $250k YOU WILL BE TAXED 3%, 3%, 3% MORE. HELLO!!!

Obama’s name is the one his WHITE mother gave him, he had nothing to do with that. She was a white woman who wanted to honor the child’s father, period. The child never know his father or his black side while growing up. As for lies, please. Check up on BUsh and his lies THAT GOT US INTO A WAR. Check up on McCain and his lies, even the broken promise to his first wife.

As for “spreading the wealth” if you make over $250K then yes, you will be taxed an additional 3%. Wow. I’m sure you will go broke from that. As for Joe the Plumber, he isn’t paying his taxes now. And he lied when he stated he was a plumber.

In addition, you pay taxes now, what do you think taxes are? McCain knows that, he’s just confusing the issue knowing that some of you are too dumb to figure it out for yourself. McCain’s speeches are not about what he will do for the economy that’s different from Bush. What he will do directly for the middle class? His and Palin’s statements are all about causing confusing and fear and division because nothing they have will be anything different from what we have had for the last 8 years. If that’s what you want go ahead vote for McCain and show the world just how retarded we are as a nation.

I am a caucasion that grew up in the “projects” for the first ten years of my life in the 1960’s and my playmates were of many colors and suffered the same dilemmas as I did. Later in life, I had the opportunity to live in the Middle East, South America, Asia, and etc. I was living in Kuwait when Iraq attacked this small unarmed country and was in hiding in Kuwait for 3 months while being hunted down and searched for by Sadam’s republican guard.
A very long story…I remember meeting secretly with about 8-10 different nationalities after Iraq invaded Kuwait and the first question asked by all was when were the Americans going to come and save us…It was not a doubt in their minds that America would come and make a wrong right. We were their hope. I never felt more proud than being an american at that moment.
I am 48 years old. Older than a man that is now running for president…I have experienced more of the world and known more different nationaliities than he will for awhile…I know how these people think and what they respect. Obama is not it…

I voted for John McCain….It was the only choice as far as I am concerned…Thank God I only had to hide from the enemy for 3 months and feared for my life and did not get caught as he did….I wanted America to attack while I was in hiding. It did not matter if I died…It was the right thing to do. I accepted I might die by the hands of the Iraqi’s that were going door to door searching for me because I was an american.
So, I can only understand a little of what this man suffered and feels…but, I know we have one thing in common…I, as he, kissed the ground of this country when I first set my foot back in it after that experience…Only someone like him and I, who experienced their freedoms taken away can understand what it means to come back home…safe…here…I want my children to always know this freedom without fear…

John McCain would understand exactly where I am coming from in writing this…We need strength and character…The rest of the world depends on us to have a strong leader…

You all should thank God tonight when you go to bed that you were fortunate enough to be born in this country and can lay your head down and sleep without fear. The reason you can do that is because the terroists of the world fear us…Our brave men and women serving in all branches of the military now and before them made this possible for you. We need a strong President that understands this….John McCain is the man…And you can’t call me a racist….I know what I am talking about…

  89. D. Hart on November 1st, 2008 1:21 am

I’m surprised no-one has not mentioned the surprising circumstances surrounding how a junior U.S. Senator could rise to power so quickly, when he went toe-to-toe with much more well-known Democratic opponents (like John Edwards and Hillary Rodham Clinton) and beat them. To me, this echoes Bill Clinton’s rise to power in 1992 from being Governer of a little known state like Arkansas. My theory is that the radicals who now control the Democratic party (not the same Democratic party of Harry Truman or J.F.K.), knew that they could not put up an ultra-liberal candidate to run against Republican front-runner because too much was already known how truly liberal they (the other Democratic candidates) were. So, they chose a candidate who has a past that has been out of the national news limelight. Onto the political scene, steps Sen. Obama. Surprise, he is also a black man (though his mother is half white). The same trick (a little known candidate) put Bill Clinton in the White House.
This choice for a candidate advances the socialistic cause for the “new” Democratic Party’s ultimate political aims: To change the face of the United States government as we know it. It is obvious if one only looks at the entire picture of all that has gone on and continues to go on. U.S. Senator Harry Reid has publicly announced that we have lost the Iraq war. They have a hatred of the U.S. Military, and what this country stands for: Freedom and prosperity. Read the transcripts of the speeches Sen. Obama has said during his trip to Europe and the Middle East this past Summer.
Destruction of this country as we know it, is their aim. The Communist Manifesto (which I researched and read last night) spells out a violent overthrow of the government by the angry, disaffected working class against the status quo: The “poor” overthrowing the “rich.” What better way to get this started than put up a candidate that has humble beginnings, and is effective at demonizing his political rival (John McCain) by tying him to our present President who is squarely blamed for our financial crisis (though is at best only partly to blame). This same candidate is smart, articulate, and a seemingly good communicator. His skin color is a weapon that can be used to spark racial strife and division. His father was a Muslim, and his pastor in the church he attended in Chicago was a racist (a black man who preached from the pulpit against white people). I would have probably voted for Gen. Powell, had he been a Republican candidate, so I am not against sen. Obama’s candidacy based on his race: I am simply making a point. I am against his politics. They are dangerous for this country.
Those who have posted, and will post here have the power to research Sen. Obama, and his former Pastor, Jeremiah Wright.
I pray that people will not vote simply by taking what the networks say about Sen. Obama, because they are owned and run by college-educated people who are indoctrinated into the liberal, socialistic ideology through their liberal college professors.
Logic is lost in the greater, more powerful motivator: Emotion. People think with their hearts, instead of their heads.
These liberal, emotionally-driven elitists- who think they are much smarter than average citizens- think they can tell people how to live and that their new government will take care of them through new programs and hand-outs. Say goodbye to even more freedom. Only sheeple would have their hands out for these freebies without realizing that NOTHING is truly free, except the air to breathe and Christian salvation.
I am not an ardent McCain supporter, but I am definitely anti-socialist. I’ll take the better of the two: A U.S. Senator that knows his country, is proud of his country, and has honorably served his country for 7 1/2 years under hellish conditions as a P.O.W. in Viet Nam (and he didn’t sell us out).
    God Bless John McCain.
Communist Russian leader, Nikita Krushchev was right in a 1956 speech when he proclaimed- referring to the U.S.- “We will bury you” (though roughly translated). Check out this link for further clarification (in particular, paragraph 4): http://www.biography-center.com/biographies/1730-Khrushchev_Nikita.html
(He later stated his remark really meant that the U.S. working class would destroy capitalism. Well, shazam!! That’s what we are seeing in this “rebuilding the economy from the ground up” concept.

Think long and hard before you vote next Tuesday.

Why do poor or lower income people vote Republican. The tax breaks are for the top 5%. Do not take my word look around you. McCain did not have to work his way through school or even qualify to be able to get into the academy. His dad or grandfather pulled strings for him to get into the academy. Obama went to school as many Americans do. He had to make his achievements on his own. He did not have a silver spoon in his mouth. McCain left a loving wife to marry a rich lady. What about that for having a good character and setting an example for young people. Palin, the religious right adores her. Palin does not have the rating she had before she started to run for vp. She and McCain condemned Stevens but her hands are not clean. Again I say check it out and look at the facts. Do not listen to the far right talking heads.

“ATTENTION ALL REPUBLICAN WOMEN” (Actually men too should read)

For your information, here is a very IMPORTANT fact that you should know about.

John McCain has voted “NO” 23 times against legislation for “EQUAL PAY FOR WOMEN” over his career. His latest “NO” vote was earlier this year. When McCain was asked why he voted “NO” by a reporter, McCain relied; “The legislation for equal pay for women was too restrictive for employers” ” I am an advocate for women but, this was just too restrictive for the emplyers”. How is paying a woman the same pay as men for the same job “Too Restrictive”???? If McCain is such an advocate for women then why has he voted “NO” 23 times on ALL legislation on EQUAL PAY FOR WOMEN??? If he thinks it is too restrictive for employers, then why doesn’t he re-write the legislation so he can then vote YES??????
Think about that when you vote for him. Please, DON’T take my word for it, look it up in the US Senate votes for your selves, for your wives, for your daughters, for your grand daughters and so on. It’s public record
Just get the facts and then decide informatively.

  99. Jessica on November 1st, 2008 1:50 am

LOL… Obama isn’t “goin” to lose. There are too many young, educated people in this country that are sick and tired of George Bush’s political follies.. McCain will be more of the same, and we are a generation that WON’T ALLOW IT. I am a christian, and I think Palin is a judgemental, racist, MORON. And I mean that MORON part literally!!! Pretty.. yes. Smart… well.. I think she answers that every time she puts her foot in her mouth. “I can see Putin from my house”.. “I’m goin to have to look that up and get back to ya”… She’s a community college sorority “gal” in a fancy $10,000.00 suit from Saks.. Period. As for McCain, I had no bad thoughts on him personally until he started his RIDICULOUSLY NEGATIVE attacks on Obama. But.. he is DESPERATE, so I suppose evil, cowardly tactics are hi last ditch effort to scare people. And.. for all of you “they’re such wonderful christians” supporters of McCain/Palin, why are you not thankful that the Obama campaign has decided to not bring up that McCain LEFT HIS WIFE for budweiser barbie, and Palin’s daughter.. (17 and unmarried I believe) engages in pre-marital sex… It astounds me that republicans are SO DESPERATE right now.. you will grasp at anything….

  100. Cdeez on November 1st, 2008 1:53 am

I’m thinking of becoming a temporary community organizer… it seems like the sky’s the limit after that gig! Being a working Governor or Senator for over 140 days is apparently overrated. Looks like the quality checklist to make it to the oval office is simplifying. Hey everybody, Obama promises hope and change…that’s a great idea! We better jump on that bandwagon while we still can and buy stock in lemming ranches.

If that doesn’t pay off, maybe we can find a way to earn a buck each time someone crys “racist” to gain attention, cast reasonable doubt or support from the media. Will it still be an issue if Obama wins? Since he’s only half black… I guess that would make him another white president, too? The horror..will everyone ever be happy? Think of the pointless filler stories that we will have to filter through when we finally discover that skin color doesn’t effect your intellectual talents or abilities.

Oh, well, as long as we find someone who is has been willing and able to work with both sides of the isle and not just say they intend to in the future… but oh, wait… This guy uses a fist bump with his wife on stage, uuuuuh, I’m sold. Besides, he’s got a great smile and the media seems to like him, so he’s obviously the right way to go, right? I better check with Oprah before Tuesday. I don’t want to get this one wrong.

  101. Felton on November 1st, 2008 1:55 am

Addressing the redistribution talking points. No one but a very uneducated person would believe the hype over redistribution. Obama is not a socialist, you and most people know this. You know America would never stand for socialism. But, McCain and Palin are using scare tactics. I see some of you want to believe this. Why, because it fits your own agenda. If we are Christians than we should use those teachings and not what comes from people with an agenda. Why are we so divided?

  102. Ann on November 1st, 2008 2:12 am

Very interesting blogs. I do dislike it that anyone who does not vote for Obama is considered a racist. There are African-Americans who are not voting for Obama. No one should refuse to vote for someone because of the color of their skin and no one should vote for someone because of the color of their skin. One needs to vote on a person depending on where they stand on the issues. Obama has said that one of the first things he will do is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. This will reinstate partial birth abortion which has been banned (even Hillary Clinton voted for this ban.) It is because it is killing an unborn child (third tri-mester) in a very inhumane way and overturns any Parental Notification laws. I’m not concerned that much about the extra tax on individuals (I don’t make anywhere near that amount), but I am concerned about the extra tax on businesses. There are an awful lot of businnesses that have a very slim profit margin. If they have to pay extra taxes, they are going to go belly up. This will result in more people losing their jobs. I would rather forego the “extra” amount Obama promises, than lose my job. Thank you very much.
Think about it – we are going to have a liberal Senate & House & possibly President – who plans to put extreme liberals into the Supreme Court (who the liberal Congress will affirm). This means it doesn’t matter what the states vote about gay marriages, abortions, the words “in God we trust”, honoring the flag, gun control etc.. The liberal Supreme Court will make it all unconstitutional.
BTW, technically, Obama is a Muslim. His father was a Muslim and in their religion, the faith is passed down by their father. He states he is a Christian and says he attended the same church for 20 years. Yet, now he says had no idea of the radical teachings of his church. In 20 years, he doesn’t know where his pastor and mentor stands on issues, doesn’t know his pastor/mentor/friend call us the US of KKK? Talk about racist!
Now if you are a liberal racist, please go ahead and vote your ticket. Please let the conservative who are not racists, have the freedom to vote theirs.

If McCain is elected we will probably be in a war in Iraq, afghanistan and Iran. But, our veterans will not have what they need when they return home. Check out McCain’s record on veterans. McCain was captured in war and so he thinks that is what measures a person’s patriotism. We have put our warriors though hell and we need to take care of them. A man who keeps talking about his scars that he got in war is very scary.

It’s his own bloody campaign plane, so if he wants to kick out a couple of Obama-haters from the likes of the New York Post and their ilk, to make room for someone else, it is his perogative, in my opinion. Obama has no compunctions about accepting good ideas from any camp, but at this juncture in a campaign which has seen some serious mud-slinging, to the point of slanter, coming from the McCain camp, there is no reason for him to be carrying these people around for them to expose every little campaign flub and try to fan it into something else entirely, something we have seen over and over.

    Just my two cents.

  105. Ann on November 1st, 2008 2:21 am

So many people are voting for Senator Obama because they want change. They really need to understand the changes that are going to happen. The American public acts like a jilted lover with a rebound attraction, instead of checking into what the person really stands for, they just want change. I suspect they will get far more than they bargained for when the laws of our land are changed.

  106. Felton on November 1st, 2008 2:21 am

Funny but I believe you know Obama wants to unite. I do not care what Wright does or says. McCain is not trying to unite. Palin is not a person that will unite. She has bias and is going to be a puppet of the right. Check out the people that she worked with in Alaska. Not want her handlers say. I feel very sad that someone can still say Obama is a Muslim. That person does not have good info or does not want to believe the truth.

If i were Obama i would have kicked them off the dam flight as well. Get real who in the hell will have your opponents in your Team who will only plan against you!

Its the same as having a robber in your home and telling everyone he is family! The problem is most white people are afraid to see a Black president for the USA but times have changed. Even if obama lose this election he is young enough to come back in 4 years.

How in the hell can folks talk about Obama and not see the problems Bush has gotten us in and Palin is only popular because she is white not because she is qualified 59% say so-its true the woman is a criminal and will say or do anything to get the VP post.

Normally, I vote GOP but no way in hell with palin on the ticket she is not any way a match up to Clinton and certainly not on the same level as Rice!

So ref. judgement McCain is the one who messes up and has step so low to get elected he will do and say anything. How stupid to bring Jo the Plummer who is not even a real Plummer to the show-its just over this year for the GOP.

The only person who could bring back the GOP is Jeb Bush there is no other candidate in the GOP better he is real and can connect with people but the others are just out for themselves.

While this article may not hold much value it is still great to voice your opinions. As Americans we can do that as much or little as we wish. So bravo to all of you for voicing your thoughts, even though a couple of you got a little out of hand and went totally negative. Who can blame you with the fire that’s been ignited in this presidential race. The powers that be (the elites) have you all squirming and fighting against each other just as they planned. Just because you have fallen in their trap doesn’t mean you have to stay there. The whole Republican vs. Democrat and black vs. white war is the tactic of divide and conquer. You’ve been set up. Pick yourself up out of this rut and see it for what it is. It’s extremely hard for anyone in their right mind to vote for either of the “given” candidates, especially Mr. Legalized murderer Obama. Claiming to lift the ban on partial birth abortions as soon as he would get in office. What part of “Thou shalt not kill” do you not understand Obama and all you other pro-choice demoniacs? You know not what love is and your father is the devil.
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” -John 8:44 KJV only Many of you misunderstand that fact. Just crack your Bible open one day and start reading. You will be made free by the Truth of God. Praise God to you who know Gods Word and live it. Hallelujah We are quite the minority. :P Yet with God we are the majority. -My paraphrase of the quote of the great Martin Luther King. We will be praising God with him when we get there. Amen! There are many of you that know Gods Word but don’t live it. I pray that God protect you until you come to him totally not withholding any of your lives. A complete sacrifice. Crucified (dead) with Christ (Gal 2:20), Him living thru you doing the will of the Father. Those that do the will of the Father shall enter the kingdom of heaven . I pray that for everyone- for you to allow Jesus to do the will of the Father thru you- thru the death of self. Romans 6

    Here’s some greatness from myspace.com

It’s all about the Ice Cream

The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade in 2000.

The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest.
I decided we would have an election for a class president. We would choose our nominees.
They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote.
To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members.

We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have.
We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.
The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids.

I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support.
I had never seen Olivia’s mother.
The day arrived when they were to make their speeches.
    Jamie went first.

He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He ended by promising to do his very best. Every one applauded.
He sat down and Olivia came to the podium. Her speech was concise.
She said, ‘If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream.’ She sat down.
The class went wild. ‘Yes!Yes! We want ice cream. ‘ She surely would say more.
    She did not have to.

A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn’t sure.
Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it. She didn’t know. The class really didn’t care.

All they were thinking about was ice cream. Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a landslide.

Every time Barack Obama opens his mouth he offers ice cream, and 60% percent of America reacts like nine year olds.
    They want ice cream.
The other 40% percent know they’re going to have to feed the cow.

I’ve read an awful lot from the Obama drones about how you are racist if you don’t want Obama to win. I will tell you about racism. I have searched, listened, read, tried and tried. I can’t find ONE SINGLE black American that doesn’t want to vote for Obama, and they readily say w/o appology that it is mainly because their so happy to finally have a black president. That is TRUE racism. I didn’t vote for him (or McCain), but its because of his world view, and socialist views. Just because he’s black doesn’t mean he’s on your side or even or even holds the best intrests of the country. He seems more concerned with “world” intrests, and appeasement for terrorists. Obama runs counter to what actually made this country great, read the founding fathers. You WERE slaves, you were discriminated against. But thank God you were, because you and your children have the greatest opportunities that ANY black man has ever had in ALL of history. Obama will take that away from you if he can, and you can live as slaves once again. The choice is yours.

Ann where are you getting your info from? You are repeating what Rush and the boys are saying. You are scared but if Obama is elected the programs he wants to put in are being checked out by some of the best people, check them out. His advisors are better than McCain’s. Do not take my word for it. Again check it out. Obama has a better education than McCain and can understand what we need as a nation because of his IQ. Obama is not going to take away guns. I wonder who told you that if you did not vote for Obama that you were a racist? Talking about what Rev. Wright represents, I have people in my family that are racist and I have sat down with them at every family get together. My values are different, alot of people are friends or family with racist, but it is up to us set our values. Condemn Rush and the other haters.

Felton – I did not say that Senator Obama was a practicing Muslim. I have below a couple of verses from a poem by a Muslim…. We know that Obama did in fact take classes in Islam and attend mosque as a child. There is no indication that he fully embraced the religion though he did say recently that he thought the “Call to Prayer” to be very beautiful. Theoretically, because he was “born Muslim” they could claim him to be a heretic, but if change was in childhood the Islamic punishment would not be as severe.

    Born Muslim…
Reflections about Muslim immigrants in the West by Neqiniso Abdullah
(from his book of Poetry “In Praise of Allah”)

Some who say that they were born
    Into the Islamic Fold
Allow the binding fear of God
    To gradually loose its hold

They early learn to fast and Pray
    and recite the holy book…..

…But he sill claims to be a Muslim
    Cause he’s a Muslims’ son

I’m just wondering what’s the debates by all of you between McCain and Obama when there are still other candidates for President out there?
And you Brenda, how come that the Iraqis are looking for you in Kuwait during the invasion – are you that famous that the Iraqis knew that you are still there hiding in a cellar?
Mc Cain co-operated with the Reds while he was in custody and perhaps betrayed most of his compatriots – is that patriotism you are talking about? Of course not. If he’s patriotic the first thing he should did when he was in the Senate to introduce a legislation that give free housing to all veterans of whatever wars that the USA get involved to – Korean, Vietnam, Middle East, Europe and others, but he let all of these veterans slept on the road, just go to downtown Los Angeles and the proof is there – lot of veterans dying on the oad!

Both candidates are same – controled by the ruling elites! No changes will happen to the USA whoever win this Tuesday election. Believe me.

    God Bless America!

  113. Ann on November 1st, 2008 2:47 am

Aronjo, if the polls are to be believed – doubtful- there are 12% of African Amercians voting for McCain. I have read posts and letters from some who support McCain. I do understand the temptation to vote for someone who you feel will understand the issues you face as a person of color. However, if someone is a conservative, it doesn’t matter what color you are, an extreme liberal (voted MOST liberal senator in America) will not end up voting for what you value.

  114. Felton on November 1st, 2008 2:47 am

Aaronjo What are you talking about? How can Obama take away anyone’s freedom? Are you trying to scare black people? Where are you from? Obama is a fine person and he loves this country the same as you. You will be very sad if he improves things here in America and none of the things you have predicted does not come true.

  115. Ann on November 1st, 2008 2:53 am

Felton, I am not so much afraid of Senator Obama as being president as of 2 extreme liberal justices on the Supreme Court. There are lots of what we would think of as nut cases that go to court…. and some make it to the Supreme Court. The Court doesn’t have to care and doesn’t care about what the majority of people want. They are supposed to interpret law, but in some of the lower courts we have certainly seen liberals try to “write law”…if some of those judges get selected to the Supreme Court they will do the same thing there.

  116. Felton on November 1st, 2008 2:53 am

Ann where did you find out that Obama was born Muslim? And why is it so important to you? If you met a Muslim and he or she was a decent person how would you feel about that person?

  117. Felton on November 1st, 2008 3:01 am

Ann do you think a conservative judge is better on every case than a liberal judge.
Looking at some of the findings coming from the Supreme Court is always bad depending on where you are with the issues. Look at the record of the present judges. Funny, Obama taught constitution law. So when he chooses a judge, he might have a better feel for the qualifications.

  118. Ann on November 1st, 2008 3:05 am

Felton, http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Politics/12918.htm Article about Barrack Obama’s half brother…summary… The rambling and genial answers do not prove, nor disprove, the depth of the Obamas’ connections, past or present, with Islam — except of course the undenied fact that their common father was a Muslim convert. (By the laws of Islam that makes Barack Obama a Muslim.) I think the concern is that because he somewhat understands their religion, that he will feel that leaders of Muslim countries will pay more attention to what he says. I think that is idealistic thinking and I think in the end they will try to “play him”.
As far as my thinking on Muslims…I do know people who are Muslims. I do not think they are deeply devoted to their faith though. I think most Muslims in the West no longer hold to radical views and are kind, decent people…(but then again there were some in England who blew up trains.) Technically – if we are not Muslims, we are infidels – and worthy of death…..is the radical viewpoint.

  119. Felton on November 1st, 2008 3:09 am

We know that Obama never took or attended teachings at a mosque. This was vetted by the media. And you know Fox would have vetted this.

  120. Ann on November 1st, 2008 3:14 am

Felton, he said to a Planned Parenthood Convention that one of his goals as president would be to put judges on the Supreme Court that would be more favorable to Planned Parenthood’s ideals and his. (I think it was on You Tube I saw it.) And like you said it depends on your viewpoint whether you think convervatives or liberals would be better as judges. Do you honestly think Obama would choose someone who wasn’t liberal, no matter how qualified the person was?? …..and I believe the same with McCain…or maybe it’s the opposite… he would not choose someone who wasn’t conservative (though I think he might choose a moderate)…well with a democratic Congress, he would HAVE to choose a moderate, or he’d never get the person through. Appreciate your comments and that you are a thinking person. Signing off now though. I’m tired.

  121. Ann on November 1st, 2008 3:22 am

    Ok…saw you had one more question…. http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nation/bal-te.obama16mar16,0,1634059,print.story?coll=bal_news_nation_promo..

As a boy in Indonesia, Barack Obama crisscrossed the religious divide. At the local primary school, he prayed in thanks to a Catholic saint. In the neighborhood mosque, he bowed to Allah. His former Roman Catholic and Muslim teachers, along with two people who were identified by Obama’s grade-school teacher as childhood friends, say Obama was registered by his family as a Muslim at both of the schools he attended.

That registration meant that during the third and fourth grades, Obama learned about Islam for two hours each week in religion class.

The childhood friends say Obama sometimes went to Friday prayers at the local mosque. “We prayed but not really seriously, just following actions done by older people in the mosque. But as kids, we loved to meet our friends and went to the mosque together and played,” said Zulfin Adi, who describes himself as among Obama’s closest childhood friends.
I am NOT saying that he attended a radical Koranic school…. just that he attended mosque and had Islam teaching.

Subject: REVELATIONS CHAPTER 13 VERSE 5

How long is the beast allowed to have authority in Revelations?

Revelations Chapter 13 tells us it is 42 months, and you know what that is.

    Almost a four-year term of a Presidency.

All I can say is ‘Lord, Have mercy on us!’

According to The Book of Revelations the anti-Christ is: The anti-Christ will
Be a man, in his 40’s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with
Persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….the prophecy says
That t people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace,
And when he is in power, will destroy everything..

    Do we recognize this description??

I STRONGLY URGE each one of you to post this as many times as
You can! Each opportunity that you have to send it to a friend or media outlet..do it!
I refuse to take a chance on this unknown candidate who came out of nowhere.

There really should be absolute qualifications written in law that a candidate for the most important office in the USA has to go by, 100% fully. Simple common sense things such as: the candidate must have a valid birth certificate, put the countries interest as #1 in their focus and life, having served in the military would be a positive one as well thou not necessarily served in war but that’s also not a bad point, I’m guessing by now your thinking that I’m anti- Obama. Although yes I’m certainly not for him, I’m not for McCain either. After all this time, I’m still for Ron Paul.

Now we have a new commander in chief. I’m sure many are pleased. My earlier comment was not meant to scare black persons into not voting for Obama, I would have hoped to deter anyone from voting for him. Well, a moot point now, but, our new pres. certainly has a socialistic agenda.

The Dems had a strategy, a very effective one. Poor people vote Dem., so invite, encourage, give sympathy to, give free stuff to & offer amnesty to anybody who can get here illegally and skirt the system. Even try to gain them the right to vote. In this way you get their relatives and such on your side. Combine this others who have a guilt complex for these folks, and you have a winning strategy. It didn’t work for McCain, too many conservatives saw this for what it was, unfair and wrong. I’m glad he lost for this reason.

Now we have essentially one-party rule. Make no mistake, Obama, Pelosi and many other Dems are true socialist. Yes, this does concern me because I know where it leads:

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article4703054.ece

This holds doubly true when your leader has such incredible charisma as Obama does.

As we venture this new direction, the UK is figuring out that socialized health care is a bust. They are trying pilot programs using private firms to provide heath care. More health insurance is not the solution, insurance itself is the problem.

    http://blogs.wsj.com/health/2008/02/21/uk-wrestles-over-private-payment-for-health-care/

Without exception, socialism creates more poverty, not less, removes freedoms, and creates a dependency on government. It removes the liberty our fore bearers died for, and replaces it with mediocrity and eventually, despair. The closest thing we had in this country to the democratic vision was New Orleans, and that turned out great, didn’t it? Oops!

I have heard economist after economist say that “raising any taxes in a recession would mean economic disaster for the United States”. Obama ignores this advice and seems resolute in his plan to raise taxes on the (so called) wealthy in the interest of ,uh, fairness.

Now I ask, is this really the direction we should be going. I like my liberties, as much as Nathan Hale. Remember the old saying, “Be careful what you wish for”? I suspect you will soon find out what that means.
