Obama’s Union Lies During Third Debate

As I was live blogging the third debate, I noted that Obama was not telling the truth about the union organizers being assassinated in Colombia. I did not elaborate too far except to say that such murders were down 80% since Uribe came to office and that it was not legitimate for the Democrats to continue to hold past assassinations against him in light of his fantastic efforts to stop it.
Yesterday the Wall Street Journal also noted this Obama lie and noted that it was a lie pushed by unions in the USA.

Obama Makes It Up
Repeating union distortions.
In Wednesday night’s debate with John McCain, Barack Obama defended his opposition to the U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement this way: “The history in Colombia right now is that labor leaders have been targeted for assassination, on a fairly consistent basis, and there have not been any prosecutions.” Among the many falsehoods in this Presidential campaign, this is one of the worst.
It is true that Colombia has a history of violence. But since President Álvaro Uribe took office in 2002, that violence has been substantially reduced. The homicide rate through the end of 2007 was down by 40.4% and the rate among union members was down almost 87%. There is nothing “consistent” about a drop to 26 union member murders in 2007 from 155 in 2000.
As for prosecutions: In union-member killings, there were zero convictions from 1991-2000 and one in 2001. But from 2002-2007, there were 80. According to the Colombian attorney general’s office, 29% of those murders were “found to have been results of theft, petty crime and random violence unrelated to union activity.” Mr. Uribe has nonetheless created a special investigative unit for crimes against union members, and he expanded a special government protection program for unions.
More broadly, in 2004 Mr. Uribe pushed through congress a judicial reform that has reduced the average time needed to issue an indictment for a homicide to 50 days from 493. He also increased the budget for the attorney general’s office to $598 million in 2008, from $346 million in 2002 — a 73% increase.
If Colombia hopes to keep spending on judicial improvements and better law enforcement, it needs an expanding economy. In addition to misrepresenting the country’s progress on reducing violence, Mr. Obama has never explained how denying Colombians the FTA will help the country reduce violence. Maybe this is because he knows he’s merely repeating union distortions.

Obama scares the hell out off me and this is why.Do you remember?

at Athens , and a US Navy diver trying to rescue
passengers was murdered by Muslim male extremists. ( remember the pilot of this flight was from Richmond,Mo.)
8. In 1988 , Pan Am Flight 103 was
bombed by Muslim male extremists.
9. In 1993 the World Trade Center
was bombed the first time by Muslim male extremists.
10. In 1998, the US embassies in
Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim male extremists.
11. On 9/11/01, four airliners were
hijacked; two were used as missiles to take down the World
Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the
US Pentagon and the other was diverted and crashed by the
passengers. Thousands of people were killed by Muslim male
extremists.
12. In 2002 the United States fought
a war in Afghanistan against Muslim male extremists.
13. In 2002 reporter Daniel Pearl was
kidnapped and murdered by– you guessed it– Muslim male
extremists.
According to The Book of Revelations:
The Anti-Christ will be a man, in his
40’s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations
with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like
appeal….the prophecy says that people will flock to him
and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he
is in power, he will destroy everything.
And Now:

Of all times the People of America want to elect, to the
most Powerful position on the face of the Planet — The
Presidency of the United states of America .. A Male of
Muslim descent who is the most extremely liberal Senator in
Congress (in other words an extremist) and in his 40’s.
Have the American People completely
lost their Minds, or just their Power of Reason ???
I’m sorry but I refuse to take a
chance on the ‘unknown’ candidate Obama…

OB’s supporter’s called me one day if i’ll vote for him . i said straight “no”. that i do not trust him as a person.i can foresee him as a dictator.
“Muslim” isn’t a descent. It’s a religion. Do you consider yourself a person of “Christian descent”? If you trace your lineage far enough you’ll be a person of “pagan descent” too, like most “Caucasian” people.
His father was an East African. Are you saying people of African descent can’t be trusted? Wait, no you’re not, because those examples don’t point to people of African descent. They’re pointing to people of Arabic descent.
But Kenya and Arabia are thousands of miles away. Oops?
Oh, and “Revelations” isn’t the scripture people use to talk about the AntiChrist’s possible Islamic faith. It’s Daniel.
