Barack Obama, William Ayers, and ACORN

Posted on October 19, 2008

The relationship the media tells you doesn’t matter, and Obama refuses to reveal the full details on. Well, here are more details for those undecideds. Think before you vote.

AYERS is all smoke for a man who has no campaign, no v/p candidate[seriously] ,and wants to continue Ws 8 years. it’s our choice, and no i’m not better off today than 8 years ago[ a war, double the nat'l debt etc etc]

If you really want to prove that you are silly and a bigot, continue attaching Obama to ACORN and William Ayers. Try something else reasonable.

Is it me or did we forget about McCains ties to Keating, Palins husband being apart of the AIC. We want to condemn Barack on his relationship with Ayers for something he did when he was 8. Is there proof that Barack paid ACORN to go out and collect register voters? Are those new registered voters all Democrats?

  4. Rapheal on October 19th, 2008 9:13 am

Senator John Mccain is only involved in negative ads. Throughout the whole video,he couldn’t establish a link with Obama. He was only putting obama’s campaign video side by side with Acorn and Ayers with a link that exist only in the imagination of his campaign.
He should go and look for something else to do. He is an old man and should be looking forward to retirement gracefully

Any one who keeps perpetuating these false stories is no different from that woman who went to national televion and was telling McCain that Obama is an Arab. what rubish!

it is interesting people will only believe the distortions of Barack Obama. But when people introduce an issue that has a problem for Barack Obama it is only a smear a lie or just a negative ad. Keep in mind, Ohio had a voter registration that was open. I was in Ohio, I traveled through Ohio’s turnpike and was approached at an oasis to vote for obama. In light that I am registered voter in Michigan. Look at the articles about Obama, Carter, the issue of the the bailout plan and george Bush in the investors business daily editorial.
Make your own decisions. do not believe the truth squads of Obama. It is odd I recently buried a person whom was in germany during the nazi era. many of the same tactics and issues were achieved by Hitler. Bush is not the fault for the economy. the economy faultered because of greed on the part of the average American citizen and executives in New York. Oddly enough the current political administration is the issue of democrats in leadership at the senate and congressional level. Look at a plan that Barack Obama has endorsed the the Global Poverty Act. 7 percent tax on Gross Domestic Product to help the worlds poor. Only 5 percent will be used to help the poor in America. Guess what Bush has not signed this plan. Barack has and Biden has.

It’s strange that the McCain campaign is putting so much energy into making Barack Obama out to be some “leftist terrorist” - that they have forgotten what is most important to the American people. Say that all of these accusations made a difference and helped land McCain in the white house - once McCain is commander-in-chief - what will he do for us? He hasn’t really made one legitimate claim about what he will do to improve the well being of this country. He a man with no plan. Just more of the same.

Most of these comments remind me why it was only democrats that weren’t smart enough to figure out how to vote in Florida a few years ago.

  9. scox on October 19th, 2008 10:40 am

All of you Obama supporters are totally INSANE to believe the rhetoric he spews with his two-sided mouth. He is clearly a supporter of a known and admitted terrorist against our country. He has given $800,000.00 to ACORN, which is behind OBAMA 100%…clearly a partisan group. There is video of an ACORN representative saying who this group is trying to elect. VOTER FRAUD, TERRORIST ASSOCIATIONS, SUPPORTS ABORTION…Is this what our country needs in a leader? Do you truly want to have a country where there is more support for people who REFUSE to work, even though they are able? Obama is not the answer. MCCAIN and PALIN ARE THE ANSWER to all that ails this sick country and society. So don’t support SOCIALISM! Be true to this country and all it stands for. Do you really want to have GOD DAMN AMERICA, as Rev. Wright said? IF SO, go ahead and vote for a traitor like Obama and we will definitely be damned.

First time to this site, amazes me what I have just read. On a day when a well respected republican (Powell)endorses Obama we find this type of trashing of a well respected Man (McCains words not mine). I also find it interesting that the comments on here from some are suggesting that this is how Naziesm came to life. McCain is a great man and had my Independant vote until he chose Palin. Palin’s only hope is to use a smear campaign against Obama. How about telling me how your going to fix this wonderful nation, not tear it further apart. No way I would want this lady as my president should something happen to McCain. I can just imagine what she would say to other world readers!
Let he without SIN cast the first stone. Be careful what you say and do. Thankfully Obama has to this point run a clean campaign. Wish I could say the same for Mccain, he would still have my vote.

Wow McCain is so WACK in my eyes. His whole campaign has been negative, and I am sad to sa that his own party repeatedly told him to focus on the economy. That is what the american people want to here about, but unfortunately all he do is waist millions of dollars on negative ads to attack Obama that did not stick. He is still ahead in the polls, raised 150 million dollars last month from fundraisers in September, and still was able to attract 100,000 thousand people to his rally in Missouri. That is amazing. Did you hear the breaking news today? General Collin Powell has Endorsed Senator Barack Obama! This election is over…GAME OVER MCLAME!

    Colin Powell endorses Obama

Saying the Democratic nominee could “not only electrify our country but electrify our world,” Colin Powell crossed party lines this morning and announced his support for Barack Obama.

Powell made his announcement on “Meet the Press.” He said he had no plans to campaign for Obama.

Offering an extended rationale before making his preference known, the former secretary of state said he had only come to his decision in recent weeks in what he called the campaign’s “final exam.”

Powell praised Obama as a “transformational figure” who he has gotten to know in the past two years.

But Powell made plain that his decision to back the Democrat was as much motivated by what he saw from McCain and the GOP as anything Obama had said or done, using much of his explanation to express unhappiness about the campaign of a man he’s known for 25 years.

Powell, who last year gave the Arizona senator’s campaign the maximum $2,300, criticized McCain’s response to the economic crisis.

“Almost every day he had a different approach to the problems we were having,” Powell observed.

The former Army general and moderate Republican also repeatedly expressed concern about the GOP’s “rightward shift,” using the selection of Sarah Palin for vice president as an example.

Palin, Powell said flatly, is not qualifed because she’s not ready to be president — the primary role of the vice president .

Powell, a native son of New York City, also knocked one of Palin’s signature lines. “Not just small towns have values,” he said.

He also took issue with the GOP campaign’s decision to focus on ’60s-era radical Bill Ayers.

“Sen. McCain says he’s a washed-up old terrorist. Then why do we keep talking about him, why do we have these robocalls going on around the country?” Powell asked, calling the use of Ayers “demagoguery.”

McCain, appearing on “Fox News Sunday,” sought to minimize the endorsement by noting his support from other former secretaries of state and retired military flag officers.

“This doesn’t come as a surprise,” McCain said. “But I’m also very pleased to have the endorsement of four former secretaries of state … and I’m proud to have the endorsement of well over 200 retired generals and admirals. I respect and continue to respect and admire Secretary Powell.”

I have a basic question that no reporter seems to be asking. What happens if 100 republicans go to ACORN voter registration booths and register with fake names? By law ACORN has to turn in all the forms no matter how ridiculous the names are. Isn’t it possible that Republicans did this to create a controversy?

  18. Erin Moore on October 19th, 2008 11:33 am

C’mon people - it’s about CHARACTER, bottom line!

Obama’s ties scare the life out of me - I don’t see how the Dems can ignore this!

I’ll be voting for McCain largely because he doesn’t have as many skeletons in his closet and doesn’t want to turn our country into a Socialist America.

  19. arby on October 19th, 2008 11:37 am

I have always been a registered democrat, but will vote for McCain and Palin. The gutter journalism, that has been widespread, makes me ashamed. They would rather sell out their country than tell the truth to the American people. Thank God we have Americans who read and think for themselves.I think Obama has been well primed by those who hate our democracy and our country. Be wary, Hitler wanted change and we all know the results of that. Those democrats, in Congress, who have betrayed the public trust should hang their heads in shame. People like Dodds, Frank, Reed and Schumer, all democrats, should be prosecuted. Why don’t they ask Obama where all his campaign money has come from. Could a lot of it be coming from our enemies abroad? Americans, WAKE UP!!!

  20. Theresa Phillips on October 19th, 2008 11:44 am

It is very disturbing of all of the negativity John McCain’s camp has spewed. Did he forget that he spoke at ACORN two years ago and he was friends with and still is with a radical who David Letterman brought up on his show and McCain was shocked that David Letterman brought it up. There’s a saying McCain, “don’t dish it out if you can’t take it”. Even after McCain gets the facts he still lies about it. Sounds like another Bush to me!

  21. arby on October 19th, 2008 11:56 am

This isn’t about racism! It’s about the Obama’s ties to unsavory people and his apparent inability to tell the truth! That’s not the kind of leader I want as my president! I happen to love this country. It is the greatest country in the world. If Obama loves this country so much why is he so afraid of the truth!

  22. Hope on October 19th, 2008 12:03 pm

I agree Palin is the worse thing for our country. When I heard that Collin Powell was for Barack that sealed my vote without a doubt. I respect his decision and him very much. It’s too bad we can’t get Mr. Powell to run for president, that would really be the best for our country.

  23. malone on October 19th, 2008 12:04 pm

Palin’s husband is/was part of a group whose mission was to SECEDE from the union! I challenge any republican reading these words to defend Palin’s husband the secessionist, and why it’s not a bigger deal than Obama’s FOGGY ties with Ayers or Acorn.

Well that was ten minutes of my life I’ll never get back. You said you were going to give me details that the mainstream media wouldn’t, then showed me a series of mainstream media clips that we’ve all seen before. Where’s the new information? Where’s the evidence that Obama has failed to disclose anything?

If you are American born I cannot undersatnd why folks that are, at this time , considering the danger to our country from Iran, Pakistan, leaders like Chavez and other who have hate for America and our way of life makes me fearful of our future. Colin Powell this morning is on the news and his story as to why he endorsed Obama is absolutely puzzling, did anyone listen closely to what he ahd to say, he truely is voting on a racism basis because his statement is so flimsy.

Times are changing with out a doubt but I do not think that America is ready for Obama at this time in history. Think serious folks.

the news is reporting that Obama raised $150 million dollars……………………do they not consider that George Soros has committed $5 billion as reproted by Fox News to defeat McCain, hell, five percent interest on 5 Billion , I think is $250 million, when you have that kind of money and you are trying to buy the country, wonder what Soros thinks is in it for him.

has any body forgot that john mccain is 72 and that there is a good chance he could die and that lady that thinks every one should have a gun and learn how to shoot will be president, john mccain is nuts, if we have learned one thing after 8 years is that republicans can spend money but that can not save money, this country is broke, and john mccain will put us farther into debt. clinton got us out of debt after 12 years of republican spending, alaska is awfull big so if you don’t like obama being your president go live in alaska the palins want to succeed from the lower 48 anyway

Obama is anti gun and he is even wanting the ammunition makers to serialize each and every piece of ammunition that the make. It will without a doubt break these companies and put thousand of folks out of work.

think about that for a while.

  34. Larry Sutton on October 19th, 2008 12:44 pm

Anybody else bothered to read the “Left Behind” series of Christian books? Obama and his following are very much like the anti-christ described in these books, which by the way were written before anyone outside of Illinois knew who Obama was. His election will be the first step in the total downfall of this country.

  35. marc d. on October 19th, 2008 12:46 pm

One for the paranoids. It would be the easiest thing for a Karl Rove style campaign to flood Acorn’s voter registration drive with phony signatures. Which, unlike Republican attempts to disenfranchise voters in Fla in the last presid. election by blocking the votes of people who had the same names as out of state felons, would not qualify as voter fraud as it does not involve actual votes.

  36. ask bob on October 19th, 2008 12:50 pm

Got a question to all the obama freaks:
What if John McCain start his political career in the home of David Duke?

What if he attended a church for 20 years that taught “white nationalism” and separation of the races?

What if he took on a “spiritual advisor” who said the govt invented aids to kill black people, and jews were responsible for 9-11.

What if JM’s “spiritual advisor” gave David Duke a liftime achievement award?

Do you think the media would have given him a pass on that [edited]? Of course not, JM political career would have been destroyed by the press a long time ago, just like any other white candidate.

When Obama says he did not know Rev Wright preached that kind of [edited], HE WAS LYING THROUGH HIS TEETH.

When he says Bill Ayers “was just a guy in the neighborhood”

  37. black independent on October 19th, 2008 12:55 pm

I am a black independent. At the beginning of the election cycle I watched both parties very closely, there were two people that I had negative opinions about, and neither of them made it to the finals. That said, perhaps those who voted in the republican primaries made the wrong choice. Could it be that McCain was not the strongest candidate. If the idea was to get someone who would get the Republican vote, majority of independents and some democrats, then you would have wanted a moderate conservative. All McCain had was the national defense argument. That was his argument against his opponents in the primary. And, he hoped that would be enough to get to the White House. The hope was that if we keep “fear of attack” on the minds of Americans he’d get elected and continue the policies of the past 8 years. I think those in leadership think they have unfinished business and need additional time. But something I have been saying for the past several years is that America needs a break. We need time to recuperate from the policies that focus on growing only a small percentage of America. Simply said, you cannot continue to draw blood from something that is on its last leg. We need a different focus in leadership right now. And McCain is not doing it. The mere fact that instead of having a succint idea of how to guide America back, he spews negative nonsense and sends his attack dogs out over the waves, etc. It’s ridiculous. If you have a plan of how to fix this then say it. Instead of saying the surge has worked. Tell the next step. Tell what you are going to do that will stop $10B a month of taxpayer $$ from going to Iraq. I thought all these folks employed the principles found in the Art of War, Leviathan, etc. Are you not supposed to use your enemies resources and not your own?!?!? Come on now. Bump all the BS. Forget the red herrings, because that’s what Ayers, race, “socialist policies” are. Nothing but red herrings. I want to hear some other solution. Otherwise Obama’s got my vote. Because McCain in the past few months has shown us that his focus is Obama. Not how to get America back on track. If it was he could tell us in not uncertain terms how he planned to do that without attacking Obama.

  38. Flavio Garcia on October 19th, 2008 12:57 pm

Although I hink both candidates are equally capable of running this country, I have made my choice to vote for McCain. It is simply a matter of the Economic policies presented by each candidate. As a person with an Econmics degree I can’t vote for a candidate that believes that increased taxation is going to get us out of our current situation.

  39. mike on October 19th, 2008 1:00 pm

2 yrs from now you will not find anybody who voted for Obama. Our poor school system the last 20+ yrs is showing its ugly face with a country full of stupid people…

  40. Very Concerned on October 19th, 2008 1:01 pm

Anyone who votes for Obama is ignoring simple facts and sticking their heads in the sand.

Anyone who understands that truly subversive people can be some of the most calculating and patient people ever known, will not vote for Obama.

I’m usually not a conspiracy theorist, but let’s think about this Ayers/ACORN thing logically without the convenient overlays of the economy and the Powell endorsement literally days before the election and when early voting has already started. (And remember, Powell, a truly brilliant man, was duped into going into Iraq, and Obama is quite the talker. I’m just saying.)

For weeks before the economic meltdown, all Obama could do is mock McCain’s ideas and say the opposite. He had no plan, until his D buddies in Congress finally saw the fruits of their non-labors over the last several years: ignoring the pleas of R’s like McCain who forecasted the economic implosion and the D’s who control Congress DID NOTHING. No, they let it fall on the current administration’s doorstep just when McCain was gaining in the polls because people finally realized what a giant freaking windbag puppet Obama really is.

Hello??? Anyone with a functioning brain cell out there? Yeah, Obmama means change — radical change that will plunge us into a socialist, leftist, insurgent-minded apocalyptic landscape.

All I know is, if he is elected, I’m stocking up on guns and ammo well before he’s sworn in, because it is only a matter of time before a blue-eyed, white, Catholic, hard-working, independent-minded, high incoming-earning AMERICAN like me is asked to “spread the wealth.” (Yes, Obama said that. Anyone remember your history lessons about communism in school? That’s Stalin all over again. Hello?????) Yeah. Right. Go to school and get a job folks. Oh, wait. There will be no more small businesses like mine to hire you.

God save America. I will mourn her passing. Just wait and see, and you’ll all regret your choice if you vote Obama and he wins. Assuming you have common sense, which it is painfully apparent most Americans do not.

THINK before you VOTE! There is more than meets the eye in the Obama campaign!

Is it too late to vote for Hillary?? She’s looking better every day, isn’t she?

1st of all, here’s a newsflash for ya: Rev Wright (who served in ‘Nam, by the way) is about black CATHARSIS, not seperatism. Go to any black church in an impoverished area, and your eyes will be opened. Its not the Rev Wright’s of the world we should be concerned about, It’s the HANK PAULSON’s of the world.

  42. Byron Cagle on October 19th, 2008 1:06 pm

Mr. Obama is the one not qualified. Only by a slim margin old enough to run for President. His experience is less than that of a sitting govenor of a state. Reagan, Carter, Clinton and many others were President after only bing a Govenor. Obama has never evan held a job other than that of “pot stirer”. As to Mr. Powel, he has sold out to his color rather that his loyalties as a respected Republican which he has been for many years. What an exciting election! Only in America…

    HEY BOB:
2nd of all, As a black man I’m insulted by your comparison of white nationalism to black nationalism, because the latter was never endorsed by the constitution, nor was it ever the basis for the enslavement of your lineage. that’s not to say that either are productive to America as a whole, but the comparison is just absurd.

  44. beth lee on October 19th, 2008 1:08 pm

People that worked for ACORN were registering fake people with names like “mickey mouse”,because they were getting paid per card. They no longer do that, and caught it themselves, not by republicans. NO ONE was going to show up to vote under those names,so the whole idea that it was “hurting our democracy” is fake outrage by a desparate RNC.

    HEY BOB:
3rd of all, your comparison to David Duke is VERY ironic, because Mccain’s political advisor in 2000 was a man named Richard Quinn (google him), a racist who called David Duke a “MAVERICK” (EVEN MORE IRONY)–WHO ALSO WAS EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF THE RACIST “Southern Partisan” MAGAZINE, WHICH THINKS SLAVERY WASN’T SO BAD, AND CALLED MArtin Luther King a “welfare supporter”.

  48. Brenda on October 19th, 2008 1:19 pm

After months of reading comments such as these, it’s clear to me, that those who’ve made up their minds refuse to listen or consider negative “truths” about their chosen candidate. And yes, BOTH parties have more than enough of them in circulation! Anyone making campaign promises in this economic downturn (due to the faults of BOTH parties) to make your life better financially are lying to us, for there is NO money in the government coffers! BOTH candidates are making those promises.
The problem I’m having, is the downright mean and nasty comments and actions coming from the young, heated democrats. How do I get my children interested in our democracy, when they see and hear this kind of unyielding “my way or else” stance that surrounds us. You all preach, “free minds”, but if a person challenges that and speaks their OWN free mind, it’s not such a good thing. 90% of the comments I read online, are filled with such hatred and name calling. Scan through this lot of them and see how many republicans threw names out there. What happened to the respectful, dignified and intelligent debates with people that just happen to have different opionions??? IF Democrats are supposedly the “refined” ones, I surely look forward to seeing a comment written by just ONE of them some day so that I might share it with my children.
Just to invoke a little of your ire, I’ll tell you now, I AM voting for McCain/Palin. The why’s are obvious to ME and that’s MY RIGHT as a Proud American and OUR right to agree to disagree. Now leave it at that!

  49. Greg on October 19th, 2008 1:24 pm

Sad, sad and very sad. That is they only way to describe the republican party at this point. The only thing they have left to hold on to is trying to link Obama to things that don’t matter to Americans. For the past 8 years the republican party has screwed Americans and now you are asking us to put all that aside and vote republican again? John McCain = 8 more years of going nowhere.
Barak Obama = change we need.

Collin Powel is a great military leader but also a yes man. You cannot get to his level in the military unless you are. He has always told the public what we want to hear and always after the fact. I trust him as much as I trust any military personel who has been forced to sign over their rights. The fact is, he is a tool. On another topic, did Obama out bid Microsoft for yahoo because he wants to own an email server or because he wants control the media to win an election? and how did he come up with 48 billion? fom his book? I dont think so. Why cant he win on his own merrit and where did he get the idea he can buy this election. Our country has great potential but is not great, yet. we have not achieved true democracy. Just look at how the FDA has been, legaly, killing and crippling thousands of Americans by using our sapposid democracy against us to make money. Im choosing the lesser of two evils. the one that keeps what little control we still have in our own hands. What we need is someone like Dr.David Graham to run for president. Please support Dr.Graham in his valiant effort to stop corruption in the FDA, he is putting his future on the line to do the right thing.

Ever wonder if maybe Colin Powell is supporting Obama BECAUSE he was duped by Bush but supported him anyway out of loyalty? Could Colin Powell possibly be as alienated by the republican party as I, as a former republican, am alienated? The real republican party has been replaced by rabid neocons.

  54. KLJN on October 19th, 2008 1:39 pm

I happen to own the whole Left Behind series, including the “Countdown to the Rapture” 3-book set. I also own and read the Bible. Similarities between Obama and the “antichrist” are nonexistent, so drop it. The world is almost at its end, but the POTUS has no role except the next world war. Give it up, reread the Left Behind Series and your Bible (which is not entirely accurate anyway due to translation errors) and get your mind right.

I am a veteran of the US Army, my entire circle of friends are vets, and we are all pro-Obama. I thought McCain being a vet and POW would do more to bring our troops home (he won’t), his policies seem to have been written by a 3rd grader, and worst of all he chose Palin as his running mate. Although I share some of his conservative values (not abortion. I do believe it’s murder, but it is un-American to force someone to share that belief) it was not enough to win my vote.

I looked past his labels– a Rebulican, conservative, war hero, POW, veteran; to the man he is based on character and knowledge. He did not measure up. Mudslinging, hurt feelings, nor past ties to seedy figures don’t have a thing to do with health care (especially for disabled veterans), the economy, the wars abroad, and education.

One cannot judge my support of Obama unless they have served honorably in our Army and/or fought abroad. I’m willing to listen to arguments of why McCain would be a better choice. If you haven’t served and you have something negative regarding my reasons, maybe you should rethink your definition of patriotism.

Give the troops what THEY want:
    Obama/Biden 2008

p.s. THEY are vets and current servicemembers whom I know personally. I am not making assumptions, merely stating the facts as I see them. Feel free to disagree.

I keep reading the word “socialism”…Question…what do you call a move by the Bush administration to buy ownership stock in large banks?
On a side note it just rocks how I visit an obviously right leaning blog and the majority of comments are in support of Obama. Well, maybe not so much support for Obama than lack of support for McCain.

  56. C G Wright on October 19th, 2008 1:42 pm

First of all Obama is a Socialist! That is what “spreading the wealth around “ is…no mistake! Just seven short years after the horrible 9-11 attacks on this country people want to elect a president named Barack Hussein Obama? He is a great deceiver and has a hidden agenda. .he is tied to Jeremiah Wright (God damn America), plus many other questionable , anti American people. Obama will not pledge allegiance to our flag. He wants Illegal aliens to have driver’s licenses and welfare funds. He supports killing babies at birth and in the third trimester of pregnancy..killing them ..burning with saline and suctioning their brains out with a vacuum tube. His supporters will try to deny this but it has already been proven. Of course, the liberal media does not want Americans to know this. Is this not enough to make you THINK? Think before you vote..and do not be deceived …Please for the sake of all America.

Its obvious from all the democratic comments, that they are probably non taxpayers who value their govt benefits, and are looking forward to an upcoming tax credit check. Hard working taxpayers are tired of supporting the users & abusers. Democrats insist that Palin doesn’t have enough experience, yet Obama has less. I would bet Palin could whip either Obama or Biden in an old fashioned brawl. At least she’s a gun owner and knows how to use one. If you listen to Obama ,the promises he makes ,there isnt enough money in the world to cover all that. A democratic congress will ruin this country. Obama’s got a slick tongue that could easily sway an individual with a third grade education. Also Mickey Mouse and the Republicans are not behind the acorn scandal.

I think the condemnation of Barack Obama by John McCain for Obama’s ‘association’ with Bill Ayers,is abominable

Unlike the non-violent strategy that Martin Luther King chose, Ayers took a violent approach to effect change.

Least we forget, our ancestors where radicals and ‘terrorists:’ Patrick Henry, John Adams, Nathan Hale, James Madison, Paul Revere, etc.

I had forgotten about Palin’s ties to a group wanting to seced from the union. So we have McCain associating with a convicted felon/terrorist who wanted to undermine an American election and is still unremorseful about his role in Watergate (Liddy) a vice presidential candidtae who gives words of encouragement to a group that wants Alaska to secede and whose husband was a member of that group. Then we have McCain accepting the support of anti-Catholic
‘religious leader” (Haggey(?)) The American people need to know more about the McCain/Palin connection with these anti American groups and individuals. Why won’t they tell us the real deapths of their connection?

  64. KLJN on October 19th, 2008 2:07 pm

C G Wright and Crazy Two, it is because of people like you and your inflammatory statements, which are indeeed devoid of facts only accusations, that people who are willing to reason and possibly even change their votes refuse to do so. How about listing some actual qualifications of Palin instead of beating down Obama. Or some examples of why McCain is considered a “maverick”. Bashing and name-calling, and fear by associaltion is not working on the American public. It may have worked after 9/11, but people are wising up to those tactics. How about some intelligent arguments?

BTW, I’m a registered democrat, I pay taxes, don’t have any goverrnment benefits (except for my MGIB for college). I joined the Army when I was 17 (now 28) and worked my butt off. Generaliizations and prejudice go hand-in-hand, remember that.

Hmmm..a bit of head buried in the sand going on? Obviously, Barack O’Bama is actively involved with Ayers, was introduced by him, and is monetarily supported by him to this day!

I would have voted no in how we entered the iraq war. I agree something needed to be done, but is it solely our responsibility. In light of the fact that terrorists &insurgents came from all over to through a wrench in our progress, I applaud our troops for a great job. My point is the 800 billion plus dollars we spent, not counting the lifes and injuries to our soldiers. If we left prematurely wouldn’t it all be a complete waste. I want our troops home to,my daughter was over there as well. I dont feel pulling our troops out a year ago was the answer.

The scary thing re: this business is that while Obama describes Ayers’ bombing when he (Obama) was 8 years old as “despicable” Obama says (LIES) that he did not know about Ayers’ “despicable” actions at any time during their long and extremely close association.

Ayers was - AND STILL IS - a man from Obama’s ‘hood, in other words Obama NEVER rejected Ayers, not even when - ahem - he “found out” who Ayers was.

    Get it, folks?

What we have here is an elaborate IN YOUR FACE lie which ultimately says yeah I’m lying to ya, and Ayers IS going to remain my good buddy, and nuts to you all.

This is where the issue rests, and any one voting for Obama having been so obviously DUPED, richly deserve him and the “gifts” he brings you.

I can’t believe this country has enough insane and stupid people living here, but if it does, well, Obama is the right leader for you.

I grew up in England and lost my brother, who was ten years old, and my grandfather at the same time; all because of some madman who also wanted change.Like Obama, he wanted to change the world. After watching Farakhan speak to his Muslim Nation and praised Obama for bringing the youth to his side, that, should scare the hell out of you. Maybe you are like a lot of people and care only what is in it for you. My husband, who is deceased, like myself, think this country is the greatest country in the world. Maybe, you need to be reminded of what President Kennedy stated so eloquently, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country.” Peace! God Bless our Nation.

Ayers, well, is supposed to be “a university professor” according to messiah Obama. It really bother’s me a lot, that a person who seeks the highest office in U.S. A. does not see any wrong in mingling with unrepentant terrorists, under the pretence that he is rehabitlitated un iversity professor. Is eother Obama is an edcuated moron, or a con-man, who takes advantage of American’s justified aparthy towards establishment, to knowingly and cunningly further a far leftist radicalist agenda, that would not tolorated or condoned if things were well with the realm. I am a black man, and fear greatly for America. I understand that for good reason that a lot of “white-Americans” are under the bondage of “white-guilt”; but i dare to ask, for what? Obama is unapologetic socialist, and and press who convicnced Americans that it was well to support bush for war, is at it again, selling Obama. Guys, remember, that one of the major consideration in 2000 presidential election, was that Bush was more likeable than Gore, who was considered as a social misfit; de javu? Obama’s greatest qualification is that, he is cool. Once you vote is cast , you will never recall it back. Two candidates: one has used his life to bring change in most circumstances of his life, while , Obama has succeeded in using “change” as a mantras to steal to power. Let the real Obama, please stand up.

They served on ta committee together 10 plus years ago funded by a republican ambassador and supporter of Reagan (and whose wife is now a McCain supporter”. Maybe we should look into the connection with those two. They gave the money and now she supports McCain. What are McCain’s “secret ties to Ayers? We know of at lest one support of his that gave a committee Ayer’s was on money. What other connection does he have? Americans need to know. Why won’t he refutiate this woman for funding a “terrorist”?

With my job, we have to clear up any “conflicts of interest.”

Obama’s connection to ACORN which is a clear example of voter fraud gone wild, should be a major conflict of interest. Doesn’t it also make you wonder how he was able to get elected for a position, when he was a nobody in the political world in Chicago until he became affiliated with ACORN?

  73. AgnusDei on October 19th, 2008 2:36 pm

And by the way, if America wanted a black man for president at this point in time, Colin Powell is the man.

But because he has far more honesty and intelligence than any politician of any color, he knows that no one can keep this ship from going down. It takes a “Special” kind of man to want to captain the boat as it’s taking water at such a suicidal rate.

It taes an obsessed, mad man. A Captain Ahab.

Both Obama and McCain are insane in my view, Obama has the Moses complex, Follow me and I’ll deliver you to the Promised Land, while McCain has the Houdini Complex, I got out of the Hanoi Hilton, I can get out of anywhere.

  74. RJ on October 19th, 2008 2:36 pm

I am a female, African American woman who voted for George W. Bush in the last election because I thought he was the only one of the candidates that could get us out of the mess we were in. Now, four years later, we are still in the mess and now even deeper.

We are in a war where our children both female and male are giving their life and I am not sure why? We have neglected other countries that are killing races of people by the thousands, but our focus is no longer on Ben L., but on terrorist chains. Guess what, these groups have been around forever and we are giving them the attention they want. Attention for their cause.

We have a bigger crisis in our own country. A country where wearing the color red or the color blue accidently in the wrong area may get you shot. A country where it is not safe to send your kids to school because there is not enough money in the school system to provide the right tools for protecting our children or paying those who are teaching our future, our precious teachers.

We are now living in a country where jobs are being sent overseas and outsourced to other countries. When was the last time you picked up a support line and the person speaking could barely speak English.

Our insurance rates are so high that even with employer assistance, some of us still pay 200-400 per month out of pocket for coverage. What about those like my grandmother who can barely afford 70.00 for her medication because she does not have insurance.

We complain about Government regulations, but the first time and issue arrives (Katrina, Galveston, Enron), we want the Government’s help in bailing us out? Someone has to take control and try to prevent some of the issues or at least distributed who pays for the bail outs. Someone other than the middle class! I am not sure about you, but I make less than 250,000 and i feel that I am helping to pay for the majority of the issues in America. What about those who make over that amount?

Although I am happy to see Palin running as a fellow woman, but as a mom, I have questions. She has a lot of young children. One of those is pregnant, the other has special needs. When will she have time to run a country when she appears to be having pressing issues in her own family? I have heard Michelle Obama speak, but I have yet to hear the future VP/Presidential spouse of Palin/McCain speak and share their views?? Let’s face it, she was a GOVERNOR of Alaska. She is NO HILLARY!!! Personally, I think the only thing she has in common with Hillary is she is a woman and a mother! That describes me as well. I run my home and I serve on PTA, does that make me a candidate for President, even I can admit as wonderful as I think I am with organizing and getting things done; NO it does not! McCain is happy with Palin now, but they are not in the office together sitting and sharing views. My personal opinion will be, she will dominate him once in office.

Given McCains’s age, we have to take a closer look at her very strongly and since she has no voting records in the Senate on key issues, how will we judge her past views?

Help! Solid responses to the issues only.
Since I am undecided, I would like to ask each of you, based on President/VP ticket and the current issues alone, who do you think will address my issues above?

  75. Bill Haywood on October 19th, 2008 2:38 pm

Let’s all stop for just a moment. Turn on the blinders and lets see the real substance. Let’s forget that for one Barack Obama is mixed with black and white. For two that John McCain is a POW War Vet. Now let’s listen, not see with our eyes, to what is being offered to us as Americans. Who has a plan for us? Who has laid out what they intend to do and have not changed his or her position on that plan everyday? Who is more concerned with the whole population of the U.S. and not just the elite that has done well for themselves? These are just some of the questions we need to ask and after asking those questions which ever candidate fits those answers is who we should be voting for!!! I am sorry if this does not fit well for those who are only concerned with the color of a man’s skin and the fear of what that man may do because of what was done to black people by white people. Or the fear that if a person died in office and the V.P. had to take it over can they really do the job without abusing the power or scathing that line of ethics. Give me substance. Give me a plan of how you are going to make America better for my child, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Don’t give me name calling, fearmonging, or anything else negative.

Yes I was going to vote for McCain but after turning the blinders off and just listening to the candidates I am leaning towards Obama unless McCain can give me substance.

  77. Cheryl on October 19th, 2008 2:45 pm

  78. KLJN on October 19th, 2008 2:47 pm

I could care less about the Obama/Ayers, McCain/Liddy, Palin/Witch-hunting pastor/AIC connections. All candidates have “questionable” affiliations that have no bearing on a political race, IMHO. Additionally, my choice for president does not determine whether I am insane or stupid. I have not been duped. I chose Obama after my first choice (not Hilary) didn’t make the cut. You guys spew insult after insult, degrade MY choice, and get angrier when people don’t see it your way. Have you ever heard the saying “you catch more flies with honey than vinegar?” I was actually waiting for someone to give me a reason to change my vote, and all I got was more hatred and not one detail about what McCain would do to better our country.

That is the major difference I have noticed between McCain and Obama supporters: Obama supporters gave me info indicative of what he could do as president; McCain supporters offered insults, misinformation, and outright lies that can be checked at factcheck.org or have been resolved. Just repeating a lie over and over again does not make it true, no matter how many times it is tried.

I give up trying to get details from McCain/Palin ticket supporters about their platforms and policies. My vote will not change. You guys just pushed away a what could have been a potential vote with negativity. This must be how the American public feels–disappointed.

I believe the truth is, “Voters know who they are going to vote for by now.” If they don’t know by now, they are not going to know by election day. If they vote, which is unlikely, the chance they will vote for your candidate is no better than the flip of a coin.

I also believe about 50% of voters care about character, self esteem, self reliance, fighting corruption, the American dream (to better oneself through hard work, honesty, determination and self respect).

The other 50% lost their self respect long ago, think someone owes them something, and resent anyone who has worked and found a level of success. Basically, these people choose to spend their time wimping and whining, blaming someone else for their laziness, lack of logical reasoning, financial situation, their friend’s, relative’s and their own drug problems, and their dependence on gov’t welfare/give a ways called tax credits, rebates, and incentives.

This might be a sad state of affairs but it is a true one. The good thing is, “Everyone that reads this know which 50% they are part of.”

When the 50% that cannot or will not take responsibility for their lives, their choices in life, and/or their status in life realize the small handouts offered them, by one of the political parties, only keep them right where they are, some of them will break away and become law abiding, productive, self supporting, happy individuals.

In the interim, the other 50%, who have already realized this, need only to keep enjoying their freedom, self respect, happiness, self esteem, family and friends, and hang onto these priceless qualities. The best way to influence another person is not drawing attention to their inadequacies, but instead, through example.

I know, in my personal life, any influence I have ever had on another person came through them seeing my self contentment, happiness, and self respect, even through hard financial or personal times, and they have asked how I accomplished this. This is a quality that is not apparent in everyone. It is a quality that when it is seen, it is usually admired.

When I see a person, like John McCain, who has suffered personal assaults, maintain his sense of humor, his self respect, his belief in other people, his self esteem, and his positive outlook, I see character. I do not have to measure that character by using a person like Obama. It is a stand alone quality.

I think McCain supporters would do well for ourselves if we focused on the good of Senator McCain, as opposed to the negative of Obama.

Obama supporters respect his resentment, his give me, give me, give me, you owe me something mentality. They admire his dishonesty seeing it as an attribute because they think he is pulling the wool over other’s eyes and that is a sign of his cleverness, etc. I have heard them say this.

There is nothing anyone can say that will change this because they truly believe it.

So, please continue supporting the person who best reflects your values, beliefs, and outlook on life. Influence by example, not by hate, distrust, or by “rubbing their noses in it”. They know they are losing their freedom, their self respect, self esteem. They just have not figured out how to change it yet. We help ourselves anytime we help another person become independent of powers who choose to exploit and rule them.
    Have a beautiful life.

Karl Marx was lawyer, who used his knowledge to profess ideal that would divide the world into two;the socialist and the capitalized blocks. It was religoius idealism that Osama Bin Ladin was bringing to fruition when the “twin towers” crumpled. Like a student, Obama, while at Columbia University, was encapsulated into the potential of social radicalism as instrument of social Engineerig; a society so skewed against his father’s people. Obama, left from Columbia to Chicago, to meet Ayers, who adjusted his overt radicalism to substanfuge method; planting and cultivating young minds, for future socilaist enterprise. Young Obama, bought the ideal and zeal of this Unrepentant radical. As a so call “community organizer” ( the job that qualifies for the office of Uinted States presidency) he was training upper echelons of “ACORN” in aggregating their social and political objectives; intimidating banking management in giving out loans with security, etc. presently this ACORN is saddled with election fraud of unprecedented proportion. Obama, failed as a community organizer, and he wants to be compensated with U.S. presidency. If president Bush was an abyssimal failure, will Obama fathom or dream of such possiblity? The fact that Bush was a failure does not mean that a known failure would be placed back in washington. Americans, are u people so light headed.
When Reverend abused America in unprecedented way, it was well, with Obama; until Mr Wright threatened his chances of being nominated in the primary. Also, he used Ayers, and presently dumped him, (if we believe that); he even sacrificed his white grandmother, when he disclosed the dialogue both enjoyed in the privACY OF THEIR HOME(just for his ambition); this is a man who will do any thing to further his socialist ambition. White Ameicans, did you kill anybody? why are so guilt stricken that you have suspended your reasoning. Is it b/cos of his education and exotic circumstance; remember the Jihadists that attempted to cause serious deaths in London, were, all educated, and infact mostly medical doctors. Have you forgoting that Obama would be privy to all the sensitive information about U.S., as president. can’t you see , why his association, believes, radical and socialist views are important, in considering him as president. If you want to vote a black for president; hold on, not this unrepentant unpatriotic blackman.

..gas in one(1) plus years will reach 5 dollars a gallon…..cigarettes and alcohol will be taxed to death…….you will resemble other countries ,like canada who have embraced socialism, free healthcare will not be cheap, remember canada has only 40 million people in its entirety, and healthcare was initiated over 20 years ago when the population was 25 million people, and health care could be purchased for 60 dollars per family per month.
Just compare healthcare today,an average couple who are self supplying their own health care basic plan are paying 6-800 dollars per month..in the usa….multiply this against the population of the good ole united states……there is no such thing as free health care and if you think there is I have some great swamp land land in florida for sale….

TO give all of you a little insight…in canada if you earn 50,000 or under you are taxed approximately 27%…..the next 50,000 plus up to 150,000 is taxed at 37%…….and above it goes to over 50%….so there is no getting rich….and the tax base ON alcohol/cigarettes/gasoline is HUGE…..for a small population…….
WHO DO YOU REALLY THINK IS GOING TO PAY FOR FREE HEALTH CARE!!!!……the government ???

SO….VOTE OBAMA………AND ENJOY THE BALANCE OF THIS YEAR FOR YOUR TAX BASE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN…….HERE COMES THE CHANGE EVERYBODY WAS “NOT” LOOKING FOR!!!!

    WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!

Obama has run a clean campaign - oh except when they made fun of McCain for not being able to use a computer (he can’t because his arms were broken so many times in Vietnam).
Oh and of course, except for all of the times they have tried to paint everyone who disagrees with them as a racist.
And they even attacked poor Joe the Plumber who only asked Obama a simple question but got Obama to admit that he wants to redistribute the wealth (communism!!!!)
What is he going to do to you when you disagree with him???????????????

By the way, what are still doing in United States? I thought you would have moved to Europe, if you are so, facinated with their socialist systems. Get the hell out here. United States is the Capital of all capitalist enterprises. That’s just the fact, and so shall it remain.

McCain is one big faker, a damn sell out to oil companies and a overall stupid man.If he would take his head out of the clouds and look at what people really wanted to hear maybe we would have a real presidenial race…Oh well

How many times did Obama vote “present” instead of voting “yes” or “no” on bills both in the Illinois and US Senate? Now, why do you supposed he would do that? Why is Bill Ayers important? Maybe because Obama is someone who says A but has associations mainly with people who say B but has a voting record that says “I don’t want to tell you how I really feel.”

  96. JL on October 19th, 2008 4:40 pm

Barack Hussein Obama - not the name of a guy that should be president of the USA. As for all of you idiots out there, Obama had a clearly beneficial relationship with ACORN because he was there frickin LAWYER. Obama wants to redistribute wealth? I don’t know about the rest of you, but i want to live in the USA, not the USSA (like the USSR). I want change, but not at the cost of our core American values. The Ayers thing can’t be disregarded, he is a terrorist plain and simple. The fact he is a college professor shows the liberal one-sided thinking of our universities. Speaking of being liberal and one-sided, the media refuses to acknowledge that Bush’s economic policy have little to do with the crisis, the main factor is that organizations like ACORN pushed banks to lend to the no-income SCUMBAGS who can’t afford to live anywhere but the projects. Thanks a lot to all of you drug-dealers, prostitutes, home-grown terrorists, and the rest of the people that hate this country. Obama is a communist posing as a socialist posing as a good person. He is the bane of hunmanity. I wish Colin Powell was running. I would even prefer Hillary. Obama is a piece of crap who has raised campaign funds from non-existant people. He lied when he said he wouldn’t take public funding, and then did. Most of his $200 million has been raised from donations of less than $200, there’s something wrong with that. Screw all of you and you will see who is right when 2012 rolls around and we are in worse shape than North Korea. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

Its selffish… I am a woman , so it dosent have anything to do with women rights. bottom line, a child should not die because its an interruption to ur life.

It amazes me that no one is bothered by the fact that 100% of financing for ACORN comes from the govt.,from the taxpayers. That part of the bailout bill, included MORE money for ACORN. A group that cares only for their members. They do whatever it takes to get more money no matter how illegal. He lied again about his relationship with ACORN,in the debate, all the money his campaign has given them. I hate to say this, because I am not a racist, but Obama is sure acting like a racist. He focus is the Afro-American community. Those are the ones he cares about and wants to help, with the money from high earning whites. It doesn’t matter how hard you worked for it,he is going to spread YOUR wealth. He does not care much for white folks, don’t kid yourself.

Ayers is an issue because there is a youtube of him speaking Nov. 30th to MSU SDS reunion. Find it and listen closely to parts I & II. This man is clearly continuing his anti-american, extreme socialistic ideological antics to promote social unrest and “Change”. That is the Obama Change..change america’s financial structure - level the playing field…then take it over to your idea of “Change”. Ayers and Obama gave $840,000 to ACORN. ACORN according to Stanely Kurtz has deep anti-capitalistic ideologies. Obama mentored their trainees on “get in their face” tactics. Madeline Talbot stormed congress to impose her demands that they force Fannie and Freddie to allow banks(based on the CRA-prior to that the banks did not make excessive subprime loans)to make excessive subprime loans. Obama sued Citibank in favor of ACORN. (google it)Why was Ayers giving money to ACORN? Why was Ayers praising Chavez for his educational reforms? Ayer’s own education reform is indicative of his brain washing the youth to rebel and rise up against society. Obsma wants gov. to have a hand in education. Question his motive! Strip society of small businesses and you end up with surfdom. Letting government run health insurance and green jobs is what he wants. Then why did the 2nd Paulson plan have added, “The Stock Injection Option” - gives the treasurer the right to buy stocks in the banks, and at his descretion to “kick out the bankers, and take over”. That is nationalizing banks. On the McLehrer hour yesterday the one democrat that screams her ugly head off..said in retort to Monica Crawley’s statement that there is no money for nationalized health insurance, that obama will most certainly do it, in increments. That will require heavy taxation.
Taxing capital gains will scare people away from investing. Businesses leave. Read Stanley Kurtz - ACORN “a nutty regime’ statements by Sol Stern. Read Jack Cashill’s latest google October 18th..he says that Ayers saw in Obama the vessel that could channel his ideologies.
Thanks to Matthew Weaver’s important research and writings, we now have further evidence of Barack Obama’s network of alliances with radical groups such as Acorn and Socialist parties like Chicago’s New Party, via the NP’s own mid-1990s newsletter in which it endorsed Obama after demanding that Obama sign a contract promising adherence to the NP’s goals and participation in the NP’s programs:
Barack Obama At present, he practices law in Judson Miner’s law firm and is President of the board of the Annenberg Challenge Grant which is distributing some $50 million in grants to public school reform efforts. [THIS is same group we know as the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) that was founded by Bill Ayers. Ayers also got all the fundraising for the group, and hired Barack Obama as the CAC’s chairman.]
There is a youtube on this page of Ayers - Read full story at:
    http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/10/10/the-bill-ayers-who-obama-has-been-close-to-for-over-two-decades/
Just as Bill Ayers owes much of his standing to his father’s power as an industrialist in Chicago, Barack Obama owes much of his standing, first in Chicago and now nationally, to the doors that Bill Ayers opened for him. That Obama must distance himself so frantically from his long, close relationship with the terrorist must be amusing, privately to Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn. They are thinking that it is they who will have the last laugh, as the man who secretly represents their own interests — far more than he does that of most Americans — takes over the White House and becomes the most powerful man in the world.

I would vote for Colin Powell if he ran for president, Martin Luther King, or Condolessa Rice. But I pray to Almighty God, that this man does not get near running our country.
Along with Ayers was Rasheed Khalidi who has strong anti-Israeli sentiments. Obama at the Al Smith dinner (see youtube of McCain & Obama roasting one another - McCain clearly had funnier remarks that held substance of truth - Obama only made fun of his name, saying that his father didn’t know his son would run for president someday, referring to his middle name, that we aren’t supposed to say. Well…i ask, then why did BO change his first name to Barack from Barry?, once knew he wanted political office, which was his aim ever since Harvard. Read those articles from harvard 1990..That man has made so many flipflops all to “try and please”. Read larry Elder’s “The Case against Obama”. Here is an educated black man, as there are a lot of blacks that do not favor Obama. Google Gamaliel foundation that Obama was a community organizer with. They have all the same anti-american, anti-whitey rants that Reverend Wright has. And Obama lied and said he was unaware of Wright’s antics. He threw all of these associates under the bus for political expediencey. But in truth he didn’t, he just said that to make us believe he is worthy of the White House.
Read up on these things, and then ask yourself again if conservatives or McCain is attacking Obama, or simply trying to “SAVE AMERICA FROM A FRAUD!”. lOOKS ARE DECEIVING, AND SO IS RHETORIC PACKAGED BEHIND ELOQUENCE. DON’T BE DECIEVED. YOU WILL BE SORRY.

Why then is the communist party in N.Y. so happy about Obama? Why is Louis Farrakhan calling him “The Messiah?” see youtube. This is all so frigin spooky and geeky! come on America you aren’t so naive and gullible. Think with your brians and not be taken in by peer pressure, stupidity!

McCain and Obama simply cannot honestly keep any promises with the economy in the state it is. But surely, anyone with brains, who can read, and listen to economists, know that during a recession, it is not wise to raise taxes, it always leads to a depression.

But you see that is what ol Barry wants, then he can usher in his Nationalistic theme.
His policies weaken our national defense. By weakening our economy it most certainly will.
A Cal Tech student had an exhibit yesterday showing that throughout the ages, the a nation’s geography, topography determined their economic wealth and strength of defense. Today it is the global market that can weaken our national defense. Obama wants to give our money to global welfare. He is so full of PIPE DREAMS I fear his inexperience more than I fear Sarah Palin’s small town speaking skills. She is very intelligent and if she had to, I’m confident that she would seek good advise to her own.

Why I even read that Obama would be exactly the “Same and not change”…as he was very much liked by Bush’s administration…they had similar ideologies regarding the middle east. Google it. read it yourself.

McCain and Palin will clean up Washington and get this country back on track, preserving Capitalism, and Patriotism. They will keep us safe from attack, and they will bring honor to our military, not shame as the Obama’s do. Obama’s use that old “socialistic liberal rant - complain about your enemy doing exactly what you do, and plan to do”.

God will prevail and America must know this truth behind the unvetted man running for president, who lied about campaign funds, and now has far more money than McCain to campaign, and still isn’t that far ahead of McCain. The mainstream media is in the tank for him, out of political correctness, and now that the truth is out, let’s see how intelligent they are. ?

Stanley Kurtz connects Obama, Ayers, Acorn as being the intial empetus to our economic meltdown. Read “Planting Seeds of Disaster”, read all of his articles. Truly amazing, and now that the media and people know about his research…You can understand why McCain said that Ayers and ACORN must be investigated. Do the investigating for yourself. As Stanley said, If Obama gets in the White House, Fannie and Freddie, ACORN and Pelsosi, and Rains and that whole bunch will certainly have a FEAST!!!

There is a difference between an attack and the righteous mentioning of someone’s recent past. Even Bill Moyer’s guest last week from the Annenberg foundation speaking about the candidates campaign ads said that. She even said that McCain had repented about the Keating 5, and went on to implement the McCain/Feingold. So there is no taint to that past experience. But has Obama repented for his involvement with the Gamaliel foundation, which holds, anti-whitey like sentiments, like Reverend Wright? Has he told us the truth that Ayers did help propel his Chicago political career, but he is sorry for it? No, because he is ever so thankful for it.
The AYERS ISSUE IS IMPORTANT - EMAIL THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

  101. Ron on October 19th, 2008 5:01 pm

Ayers is old news that really has no relevance to todays issues. Wright, on the other hand is significant. Obama sat in his church for 20 yrs. listening to Wright spew his racial comments and dislike for America. While Wright may have resigned from his church, he and Obama are still close. McCain has also made a very stupid mistake that, unfortunately, a lot of women are buying into–he picked Sarah Palin as his choice for VP. She may have been a mayor (of a very small town), and governor of a very large state, (with a very small population), but she has NO QUALIFICATIONS to be VP or president should something happen to McCain. I guess he could put her in charge of the national zoo. But, she would have to catch the animals alive rather than shooting them. Then again, he could put her in charge of the FBI, since she seems to be a lot like J. Edgar Hoover in the way she went after her state’s Safety Director when he refused to fire her ex-brother-in-law.

  102. Artist against Obama on October 19th, 2008 5:04 pm

Why don’t you throw Obama’s connection to the artist Shepard Fairey into that list. Obama has officially praised Fairey for his illegal activity on the streets.Street art costs this country over 10 billion per year to clean up. So why does Obama support it? Fairey has also been arrested dozens of times for his illegal activity. Why is it that Obama will drop donations from Rezko but accepts over $400,000 in donations from Shepard Fairey selling his Obama prints? Keep in mind that Shepard Fairey has made a history of using violent visual rhetoric against the US people and government in order to create his so called revolutionary career.Since Joe the Plumber was examined for any little mistake why don’t we examine Shepard the Artist for tax dodging or any other problems. It is easy to discovery that he is a copyright infringer. Why does Obama support this artist so strongly? Does Obama care about the rights of artists? His actions certainly say that he does not. McCain and conservative bloggers need to pick up on the Obama / Fairey connection NOW! This story needs to be exposed.

Short and sweet. I’m not a fan of the smear tactics that McCain/Palin have taken, but I’m still voting for them.. and NO I’m not wealthy or crazy.
My reason is very simple and involves a “Bus”.
Obama called Wright a loyal friend, spiritual advisor and a true american, yet when it came up that Wright made these comments and that it would impare Obamas campaign, he threw him under the “bus”. Wright is not alone thou, From what I’ve read, he is joined under that “bus” by supporters of Obama and even Obamas white grandparents who raised him.

Also, look at his promises. When being elected, he promised a group one thing, and then went behind their backs and promised a group something else.. against the first groups. *Jews in Illinoise for one*.

Also, when it comes up to slander and smear.. Obama hides his family *notice wife isn’t around much more lately?* and warns the press to back off, but is all FOR the smearing and slander of his opponents.

I’m choosing the lesser of two evils here, and I’m sorry to say that Obama is the worse of the two.

There is no talking to an Obama supporter, so I don’t try. But look at just the facts of his tactics to get elected senator and to get Elected President. If voted, I honestly believe that if/when the chance arrives, the whole USA will have tread marks on it and we will ALL be under the “bus” if it gets this man what he wants.

Thank you all and god bless.

Redistribution of wealth is another socialist plan that will eventually take our tax brackets much higher than we currently enjoy. One thing that relly suprises me is how much so many Americans hate this country, yet all they want to do is talk bad about it, but, fail to leave it.Congress having pushed a bill sitting on the Presidents desk allowing Social Security to illegal immigrants that have never paid into this system, is crazy, our SS system will be bankrupt soon enough w/out adding all the illegal immigrants to its dole.

And he may just win because of it.

Remember the question . . . something like, “Are you better off now like you were 8 years ago?” While McCain ain’t no Bush, he’s certainly not the McCain that I grew to like. If you can’t answer “yes” to the question, you’ve gotta be dumb not to consider Obama or a 3rd party candidate - the Republicans are totally morally bankrupt at this point, and I shudder to think how America could elect a president so entrenched in the past when we need someone with a vision of the future to help us through our injured infrastructure and carry America into the global world intact. A vote for McCain will certainly set us back.

All McCain did was make 1 phone call asking if Keating was being treated fairly. Obama has been given a free pass on his envolvement with a communist mentor he had in High school, a 20 year involvement with a Preacher who teaches hatred for whites and our government; a Syian developer who used loaned money from a arabic friend who was envolved in ripping off the “Oil for Food” money sent to Hussian’s Iraq (for the children); and an unrepented home grown murdering terriost ejoying his picture standing on an American Flag while lementing he wished he could have blown up more. Everyone wants to blame Bush, when in fact congress is to blame. In my opinion some senators should be going to jail for allowing this to happen, along with their cronies on wall street. It’s the lawyers that write the laws and change them, and where do they congregate? WASHINGTON! There in “lies” the source of our problems. They are robbing the bank time and time again, just look at the past bailouts. Democrats and Republicans are both to blame for the state of the economy, WAKE UP AMERICA. McCain comes from a military family and has paid the price, and has a right to take a stab at guiding this great nation. I don’t believe we need another smooth talking lawyer, who to this point has shown me nothing, except his own wish to grab for power. Five months as a Senator and announce he is running for the highest office in the land. Then spend the rest of his time trying to sway you and I to think he has a better idea. If Ayers was not an issue then why did Senator Clinton of Obama’s own party bring it up. You all are crying in your beer because McCain points out the same issue Senator Clinton did, if Obama gets elected you really will have something to cry in your beer about. This country was founded on God, and it is He who will decide who wins this race for His purpose no matter what you or I think.

McCain has stated what he would do for the economy….stop excess Government spending and not raise taxes. McCain is a true AMERICAN can the American voters really believe Obama is? Obama’s relationship with known domestic terroist Ayers is disturbing to say the least, Rev Wright is another story. Take the time to find out what Bush has been responsible for during the last eight years. Our Democratic congress is certainly responsible for the the banking industry disaster. Gas prices are not the fault of Bush, this was caused by the investors in futures. Before making broad statements about McCain/Palin. Check the facts for yourself concerning Obama. McCain isn’t running a negative campaign, just stating the facts

You can judge a man by the company he keeps. Ayers, Wright & Acorn is not the company that I want my President to hang out with. First, you have an unrepented domestic terrorist that is no different from Timothy McVeigh. The only difference is Ayers beat the rap. Then you have a man that preaches hatred & uses the Lord’s name in vain. He is to be a man of God but it takes Obama 20 years to figure out that this kind of hatred is being said from the pulpit. Then last but not least you have an organization that is literally out to steal an election. They can not go out & register people the honest way. They have to have taxpayers money as well as bully companies & corporation into handing out funds. They have an in your face mentality that was taught by who else but Obama. This whole situation smells to high heaven. It does not take a rocket science to figure out that this man is up to his eyeballs with all three of these. Wake up America. We are much smarter than this!!

Why are any of you so upset by Colin Powell’s endorsement of Obama? It does not matter. The only people he will sway are those that already had planned to vote Obama.
This is just another factor that should show that he should never have been secstate to begin with & further shows Daddy Bush’s flawed judgement in listening to Powell’s flawed judgement to end the first Iraq war prematurely.
That reminds me of another idiot, Harry Truman fired Patton because Patton saw the Russians for what they were & saw future conflict with them just like Screaming Norman did with the Gulf. Incidentally Powell was instrumental in getting rid of him. So where are we now? trapped in another long conflict with no sensible way out.
Obama will get us out?? yea sure & we”l really see some conflict then. READ: Rev,13:6

Everybody blames Bush for all the problems of Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, but it was the DEMON-CRATS! The Heads of both of them gave OBAMA hundreds of thousands of dollars for his campaign!! McCain told them 3 years back that they were in trouble and he asked congress to give them help, but they said they did not need the governments help! Now look where we are!
Also, Obamas friend, Nanci Pelosi said when congress reconvenes, she will put the ban back on drilling off the coast. Good-bye cheap gas again. Hello $5/gallon (or more)
Obama stated in the last debate that “he would LOOK INTO” drilling off shore. McCain wants to drill and drill now!

Obama’s economic plan will kill USA economy.
He has promised more 1 trillion new spending and rising taxes on business, it will kill USA.
New Great Depression and flee of capital from the USA - this is the real Obama.
Only full idiot can believe that Obama during 20 years of seating in the church of rev. Wright didn’t hear his bigotry hating speeches. Obama is a lier.

Who did create the economical crisis?…It started In 1994-1995… ->
    ————–
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subprime_mortgage_crisis
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s mortgage policies fueled the trend towards issuing risky loans.[84][85][86] In 1995, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac began receiving affordable housing credit for purchasing mortgage bank securities which included loans to low income borrowers. This resulted in the agencies purchasing subprime securities.[87] Subprime mortgage loan originations surged by 25% per year between 1994 and 2003, resulting in a nearly ten-fold increase in the volume of these loans in just nine years.[88] As of November 2007 Fannie Mae a held a total of $55.9 billion of subprime securities and $324.7 billion of Alt-A securities in their portfolios.[89] As of the 2008Q2 Freddie Mac had $190 billion in Alt-A mortgages. Together they have more than half of the $1 trillion of Alt-A mortgages.[90] The growth in the subprime mortgage market, which included B, C and D paper bought by private investors such as hedge funds, fed a housing bubble that later burst.
A September 30, 1999 New York Times article stated, “… the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans… The action… will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough… Fannie Mae… has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people… borrowers whose incomes, credit ratings and savings are not good enough… Fannie Mae is taking on significantly more risk… the government-subsidized corporation may run into trouble… prompting a government rescue… the move is intended in part to increase the number of… home owners who tend to have worse credit ratings…” [91]
On September 10, 2003, U.S. Congressman Ron Paul gave a speech to Congress where he said that the then current government policies encouraged lending to people who couldn’t afford to pay the money back, and he predicted that this would lead to a bailout, and he introduced a bill to abolish these policies. I’ve been reading all these comments .
I don’t remember any-one saying anything about the color of Obama’s skin . I believe he is of mixed race . Which most Americans are ,I don’t mean black and white but races .I was a democrate from 18 to 48 years old .I’ve voted for my choice ever since, I’m now 72 and I think I still have all my ducks in a row .Why do some people think that past the age of 60 you become stupid .I’m considered very intelligent . I’ve read and studied each candidate . We are not ready for Obama who has no experience for the job .I also know a marine who was standing in line to shake Obama’s hand when he was in Bagram Afghanistan for a one hour visit . They were lined up to greet him and he blew them off. The same thing happened after his little trip to the ClamShell for publicity photo’s of him playing basketball .He was just there to make a showing for all you dumb suckers .I think if I was going to go all the way to Afghanistan I’d at least of shook hands with afew to thank them for providing the freedom for me and my fellow Americans back home .To make a point of what kind of caliber of person he really is” A GREAT BIG FAKE”
One of these people was Cpt Jeffery S Porter
stationed in Afghanistan . Don’t feel bad he had my vote until I got this letter from Tiffany . This made me start to research all I could about Obama . I don’t care for his policy . God help us if he gets in office for he’s the only one who can .Please remember Hitler and vote MCCain . Don’t be fooled by Obama.

insulated from reality that they imagine that America can suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves.

    Pause a moment, reflect back.
These events are actual events from history..
    They really happened!!!
    Do you remember?

    1. 1968 Bobby Kennedy was shot and
killed by a Muslim male extremist.
    2. In 1972 at the Munich Olympics,
athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim male extremists.
    3. In 1979, the US embassy in&n bsp; Iran was taken over by Muslim male extremists.
    4. During the 1980’s a number of
Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslim male extremists.
    5. In 1983, the US Marine barracks in
Beirut was blown up by Muslim male extremists.
    6. In 1985 the cruise ship Achille
Lauro was hijacked and a 70 year old American passenger was
murdered and thrown overboard in his wheelchair by Muslim
    male extremists.
    7. In 1985 TWA flight 847 was hijacked
at Athens , and a US Navy diver trying to rescue
passengers was murdered by Muslim male extremists. ( remember the pilot of this flight was from Richmond,Mo.)
    8. In 1988 , Pan Am Flight 103 was
    bombed by Muslim male extremists.
    9. In 1993 the World Trade Center
was bombed the first time by Muslim male extremists.
    10. In 1998, the US embassies in
Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim male extremists.
    11. On 9/11/01, four airliners were
hijacked; two were used as missiles to take down the World
Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the
US Pentagon and the other was diverted and crashed by the
passengers. Thousands of people were killed by Muslim male
    extremists.
    12. In 2002 the United States fought
a war in Afghanistan against Muslim male extremists.
    13. In 2002 reporter Daniel Pearl was
kidnapped and murdered by– you guessed it– Muslim male
    extremists.
According to The Book of Revelations:
The Anti-Christ will be a man, in his
40’s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations
with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like
appeal….the prophecy says that people will flock to him
and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he
is in power, he will destroy everything.

    And Now:
For the award winning Act of Stupidity
Of all times the People of America want to elect, to the
most Powerful position on the face of the Planet — The
Presidency of the United states of America .. A Male of
Muslim descent who is the most extremely liberal Senator in
Congress (in other words an extremist) and in his 40’s.
    Have the American People completely
lost their Minds, or just their Power of Reason ???

I’m sorry but I refuse to take a
chance on the ‘unknown’ candidate Obama…

As the writer of the award winning
story ‘Forest Gump’ so aptly put it,
    ‘Stupid Is As Stupid Does’

i am with you sharon 10/20/08. i do not trust ob. he is shady. do not want to tell the truth.

Everyone keeps talking about Obama isn’t telling the truth, Did Bush tell the truth about Iraq’s invasion? look at who many years it took him to finally do so…

  130. obye on October 20th, 2008 5:09 am

Barack Obama isn’t a Muslim. He father was a atheists and his mother didn’t practice religion. He got introduced to Christianity during his college years. Get your facts straight Sharon and stop waisting space by posting unnecessary and unuseful information.

  131. Andy on October 20th, 2008 7:53 am

Obama’s mother married Lolo Soetoro — a Muslim — moving to Jakarta with Obama when he was six years old. Within six months he had learned to speak the Indonesian language. Obama spent “two years in a Muslim school

Train him in the way he should go when he is young, and he will return to it.

  132. Andy on October 20th, 2008 8:01 am

Los Angeles Times reporter Paul Watson, who dug into Obama’s allegation of error, said “…his former Roman Catholic and Muslim teachers, along with two people who were identified by Obama’s grade school teacher as childhood friends, says Obama was registered by his family as a Muslim at both schools he attended. The registration meant that during the third and fourth grades, Obama learned about Islam for two hours each week in religion classes. The childhood friends say Obama sometimes went to Friday prayers at the local mosque.” (Something else Obama claims he never did.) “…Obama’s younger sister, Maya Soetoro, said in a statement released by the campaign that the family attended the mosque only ‘for big communal events’ not every Friday.” Obama, who belongs to a church that teaches that the Muslims of the world were wronged by both Israel and the United States, cannot afford to be labeled as a “Muslim” by voters who expect the United States to win the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan where their sons and daughters are being killed by Muslims.

PERCEPTION IS NOT NECESSARILY REALITY … DON’T BELIEVE THE POLLS …
Obama supporters act as if the polls are a true reflection of what’s going to happen on November 4th. When you don’t have an actual record to run on … and all you can do is point out problems, and blame others, as Obama has, you have to rely on gimmicks that have nothing to do with your actual ability to lead … like accusations of racism ad nauseam … like early voting …busing and indoctrinating homeless people on the way to the polls … photo ops with big crowds … spending 4 to 1 on advertising … having the media in the tank … having Hollywood in the tank, having Acorn in the tank … and, having 98% of all black voters in the tank. But, all of these things are nothing more than a fabricated perception. They have nothing to do with a person’s experience, or ability to lead. They just reveal a candidate who will say, or do anything to get elected. That’s why the Obamabots are so worried. That’s why Obama is telling his disciples not to get over confident. That’s why the Obama campaign tries real hard to make it look like Obama has already won … just like they did in the run against Hillary in the primaries. I happen to believe there are legions of people who are going to vote for McCain on November 4th … unlike the ‘in your face’ Obama supporters, November 4th is when the McCain supporters will express themselves. Keep America safe and strong, elect McCain/Palin on November 4th.
