McCain is on a Roll

Posted on October 17, 2008

For all those dismissing McCain and saying the game is over, you are wrong. McCain is on his game.

Example 1: He is riding Obama on the tax issue like a true maverick!

Example 2: He knows how to bring the house down, and is much funnier than Obama. If only he could have been this quick witted in the debates.

McCain is under the delusion that the debates are about explaining your policies. We wanted a debate about character.

Anyway, McCain was very funny. He’s good at what he puts his mind to. I just wish he hated Obama like we do.

It is a little hard to say where the campaign is at now as the polls are questionable in their accuracy. I heard one poll actually assumed there were 50% or so more Democrats voting than Republicans voting in Virginia a Red state. I have great doubts that that assumption is anywhere near accurate. I also have to consider that Democrat voters are notorious for not voting. That tends to give us more reliable Republican voters an edge.

There are too many things to dislike about Obama. But the principle practical thing is that he and Congress would send us off into the wilderness on energy. Nuclear will go nowhere. We’ll be drilling 500 miles offshore. We’ll be heavily subsidizing sources that don’t fuel transportation. I’m betting we’ll the $8 a gallon of gas that Obama has wanted for some time. Oh, and plenty of ethanol, but no sugar fuel.

    Trainwreck a comin’.
