If you spent half this amount of time telling folks why McCain and Palin were the best choices, instead of acting like children and pointing out only that the other guy is terrible and we aren’t that bad, not as bad as he is, you would do much more good for your candidate. Even if everything you say on this site were true, it has little impact due to Bush and Rove and company using the fear card too much for the last 6 years to get a war going and to get elected again. You can cry Wolf too many times, and then even if there is a Wolf, nobody believes it. The status or our country is like a house that is on fire, and few people will question the fire department about who there friends are and if they are exotic risky un American types, only if they can get the fire out and minimize the damage so they can rebuild their lives again. The Conservatives have been very poor stewards of our country, and that will not be covered up by your talk of hate and fear. The conservative ideals themselves are indeed the crux of the voters judgement in this election, and try as he might to portray himself as a Maverick, John McCain is seen by most Americans as a Conservative Republican standard bearer for his party in this election. The fact that Bush tried his best to hold off any action on the economic crisis until after the election only served to make it the final nail in the coffin at the worst possible time for his party and John McCain. Most folks do not see this as “Country First” from the Conservative Republicans, and by squandering what good ideas and good will you had at the expense of winning elections and peddling fear, you are on your way to being just like the Whig party. Get ready for a major shift on Nov 4th, your old tired hateful tactics are played out, and say hello to President Barack Obama. In no way could he do worse than George Bush in wrecking our country, disregarding our constitution and destroying the middle class of our great nation. Your own Conservative representatives who have been our leaders for the last 8 years are the cause of this, not Obama or the media. Bush has screwed it up badly, and you conservative enablers have let him do it, and in fact not put country first, but party first. Times about up for you guys, now take your hateful energy and do something good for your kids, community, your town and your country. Earn back the Nations respect you squandered, and maybe, just maybe, the Conservative agenda will get another chance to show America that you are able to govern effectively.

Mr.Buckley has no credibility apart from his father. He would be a total unknown if it were not for his dad. I could not care less what Mr. Buckley thinks about from an influential standpoint. He obviously is a free thinker and that is his right.
I didn't agree with everything his father wrote and said although I greatly admired him for his steadfastness and courage.
The current Mr. Buckley is not his father , will never be, and shouldn't be.
But, if he had any integrity he certainly has none now. Going on with Chris Matthews is probably the lowest thing he will ever do
