Fake Palin SAT Scores Fool Left-O-Sphere

Did you hear that Governor Palin is stupid? Well, if you watch TV, listen to the radio, or read any news outlet you can’t help but find the lefties there claiming in unison that she is the dumbest woman to appear on the scene since Goldie Hawn made her chops as the blonde ditz on 1960’s TV. And, heck it’s gotta be true. Why, even her SAT scores prove it! Except that the “proof” of that is an Internet hoax that fooled Wonkette, the DailyKos and a blue million nutrooter sites. But, who cares? As long as it makes Palin look bad, we’re golden, baby! Truth-schmooth, right?
On October 10, blogger Dawn Eden found that a posted image of hers had been stolen, then altered, and then posted everywhere as “proof” that Sarah Palin is stupid. Apparently, the biggest stir was created by the tabloid site Gawker.com on its “Assignment Desk” section.
Originally, Gawker wondered if the image presented as Palin’s SAT scores was real and posited that it was believable. Later in the day, however, one of their own site commentors effectively proved it an obvious fake. But not before it fooled Wonkette and the DailyKos and a score of other nutrooter sites.
Before the obviousness of the fakery was settled, the DailyKos site pronounced the SAT score card as “credible,” and the unprofessionally profane Wonkette said that the faked scores “sounds about right.”
This fake image appeared on dozens of sites in a few hour’s time.
Unfortunately for the left’s indulging in gettin’-the-hate-on at Sarah Palin, though, this image was stolen and made to appear like Palin’s SAT score card. It was all a deliberate hoax.
This is the real image as posted by Dawn Eden.
This sort of thing goes beyond a merely misreported story, goes farther than a bad interpretation of facts, and enters into outright forgery. And what we have here is a perfect example of how the left has no interest in “truth” as long as their agenda is furthered. Situational “ethics” is the left’s calling card and this is more evidence of this salient truism.
So let’s not let the facts get in the way of a good story, shall we DailyKos?
Now, let’s keep our eyes peeled to see if the next level up in the Left-O-Sphere (and that would be the Old Media) start using this one. Look for the occasional comment by a lefty commentator about this “true SAT score report” to show up soon!

There comes a time when the SAT and ACT needs to be left out. When a person, such as Governor Palin, is in their forties, such things don’t count. So if all the obammymessiah minions want is dirt, here’s mine. In May of 1981, I tossed a perfectly good Frigidaire over the fantail of USS Ranger CV61 between Pearl Harbor and San Diego. I was ordered by my Division Officer to get rid of it and to use my initiative and judgement as a Second Class Petty Officer to accomplish the task. Davy Jones got a Frigidaire.
To the the obammymessiah’s minions. Go pound sand up your ass!
“And what we have here is a perfect example of how the left has no interest in “truth” as long as their agenda is furthered.”
Because the floods of e-mails circulated by the right about Mr. Obama being a terrorist/secret Muslim/foreign-born/anti-christ certainly are completely truthful.
Uh…I get emails about all kinds of things that aren’t true and mostly don’t read them or at the least take them with a big dose of salt. However a site like daily KOS that left wingers take as gospel should have some little bit of journalistic intergrity if they want people to trust them in the future and not just assume they are the type of place that print “Palin has Alien Baby”. oh yeah, journalistic intergity doesn’t exist anymore, the left has stopped demanding it from their sources because they no longer care about truth.
Me makes an irrefutable point. You know the worn-out old saying; people that live in glass houses…
And just where are these “millions” of right-wing emails that Obama is a “terrorist/secret Muslim/foreign-born/anti-christ”? Was your email box filled with them? Who are the sources of them? Do you have any copies of them to post? (Crickets…)
I have not received one, and I get over 100 emails per day. Did you confuse them with an Obama Action Alert or a free Rolex pitch?
On the foreign-born front, it is amazing that we have a POTUS candidate who still cannot produce something as simple as a birth certificate. (I would hardly count the Dan Rather-quality forgery that came out a few months ago as valid). And whose health care records total one page from a doctor that would barely qualify as a 3rd grader’s “excused absence” note written by his mother.
I get hundreds and hundreds of emails a week and I’ve NEVER seen one that accuses Obama of being a terrorist or of being a Muslim. What fantasy world the two above live in I don’t know.
Let Palin settle it by posting her actual SATs.
I’m guessing 50th %-ile.
Sorry, pal, but there’s nothing to “settle.” It is a fake. It’s clear.
This year’s presidential race is so critical for the country, yet according to what I hear we have two not-so-good choices. On one side we have a 72 year old “maverick” with a history of melanoma that has chosen Sarah Palin as his running mate. I’ve seen her interviews and the debate, and honestly she is only good at giving speeches prepared by great speech writers. She is too dumb to lead. And on the other side we have the “friend of terrorists, Muslim and unproven patriotic” young black guy running with a senator known for gaffes. Then we have a bunch of Americans Idol fanatics that believe they will win only if their favorite wins.
Isn’t there a saying, “believe nothing of what you hear, half of what you see”?
Hardly any of these comments show clear and rational thinking. They demonstrate prejudices and belief in talk show banter without even changing the phrasing used on the air.
