There are 2 polls I’ve been fascnated by since the end of the debate, and only 1 has changed much since I went to bed 6 hours ago.

Both make me wonder just WHAT debate these people were watching, and what flavor Kool-aid they were drinking while doing so:

Yahoo poll as of 7am pst:

Who won the debate? 145,495 votes:

Joe Biden = 48%

Sarah Palin = 49%

Not sure/No opinion = 3%

MSNBC.COM as of 7am pst:

Who won the VP debate? 773263 responses

Joe Biden = 51%

Sarah Palin = 39%

Tie = 4.5%

Not sure = 5.6%

Cutesy, folksy talk gets really annoying after a while, especially when it’s shallow and it’s used as an attempt at masking the real issues.

Did Sarah Palin do better than expected. Sure. Because the Conservatives put the bar so low that she only needed to step over it. The bottom line is she dodged the questions in order to get to all of the ‘talking points’. It wasn’t a debate, it was more campaigning, which was scripted for her and she made sure she hit all the points she was supposed to. Well I’ll be darned, it still doesn’t change the fact that she’s not qualified. Cutesy, folksy talk gets really annoying after a while, especially when it’s shallow and it’s used as an attempt at masking the real issues.

Let’s face it: Biden could have stated that George Washington got on television and addressed the troops at Valley Forge in 1872 and the press would have ignored it, or, at best, dismissed it as part of his “charm.”
