mbl, I have little problem with them using the Fairgrounds. My point is that if this was a Christian group, the Boy Scouts, or some other group, the ACLU would be on this in a heartbeat.

Actually, as I understand it, the Exposition Forum is a quasi-public forum that can be rented out by whomever wants to use it, including any religious group. Thus, there is no issue here regarding religious preference. In fact, had the government refused a religious group access to the Forum they would have been in violation of well-established Supreme Court precedent. With this in mind, it's really a no brainer as to why the ACLU was silent on this. Now, if you can provide evidence that in fact other religious groups have been turned away from the Forum, then you have a good point regarding the ACLU's silence, but my hunch is no such evidence exists.

The city probably set the event up. And had foot wash and towel racks in line next to the missile launchers ect... Obama & his friends must have been there. Obama needs the foot wash to wash his hands because his hands was in the housing scandal of millions of tax payers money.

Did they pay to rent the place, or did the city let them use it out of the goodness of their heart?

I'm a bit uncomfortable with the idea it's ok for one group...the one who wants to see us all convert or dead to get use of public property, while another one, regardless of the history, that is filled with people who are loving and kind and welcoming, are shunned.

I have issues.

So,
If your muslim and you pray on public property it's OK because you are part of a protected minority of a BILLION people worldwide but if your a devote Christian and you want to wish a public employee 'Merry Christmas' there is a serious breach of human resources policies....
Islam will kill you.
Christians will write letters to the editor.

Which carries more influence, worldwide?
