Matter of fact, we're still coexisting together. It is widely accepted in the Paleontological field that birds are nothing more than feathered dinosaurs. There are so many transitional dinosaur/avian fossils known that this is practically irrefutable. Now, her reasons for saying what she did (or didn't!) may be different from pure science, but too bad—in the world of damning sound bits, her "statement" IS CORRECT.
