Here’s Some Gall: Democrats Want to Tax Wall Street

These scumbags really have gall, ya know? First we have Democrats from the Carter administration all the way up to those serving with the Obama campaign being key players in the mess that became our current economic hell and NOW they want businesses to pay for the mistakes Democrats made. Democrats have come up with the brilliant idea of taxing Wall Street to “pay back” the treasury for the bailout.
Reuters is reporting that Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is claiming that she wants to drag down Wall Street even further by levying confiscatory taxes on investors and investment firms if the treasury isn’t paid back in 5 years time.
“If after five years … the CBO decides that the American taxpayer has lost money in this, then there would be a fee on financial institutions,” Pelosi said, adding that she hoped the provision could be part of a final bailout deal.
So, the Democrats are responsible for causing this mess and they want someone ELSE to pay the bill? Democrats have the gall to pretend this is everyone else’s fault!
It figures.

The more I read about this crisis and its origins, the more the whole thing sounds like racketeering.
We need to invoke the Rico Act against the legislators who pushed the housing legislation through Congress, against ACORN and any other groups that threatened lawsuits against banks that refused or tried to refuse to issue fraudulent loans to people who could not afford them.
I want to see investigations and indictments against the criminals who did this.
We have documentation that numerous efforts were made by President Bush, Senator McCain and many other Republicans to avert this crisis years ago. The people who blocked those efforts need to be investigated for racketeering.
Best regards,
Gail Spurlock
Considering their intent is to bring America down and turn us into a socialist country, this is no surprise.
The words “a failure of capitalism” is leftist code. It means destroy America.
Here’s some gall: Screaming for years how you can “regulate yourself” while enriching yourself and your gangster buddies, but after running your own (public subsidized) business into the ground you expect the public to pay for all of your losses.
Funny how RICO entered my mind at one point as well. I still feel this runs far deeper than we’ve been led to believe. MSM has already proven its intent to provide us with half-truths and outright lies, so how do we know it’s not more of the same from them, too? While I know the failure of these institutions would be a pretty rough course, would it REALLY be as devastating as they claim? Or would their failure expose more and deeper corruption on higher and higher levels?
