Look how Presidential Obama looks while he yells at an old lady about the certainty of his misconceptions about the war on terror.
On a related note, check out how factcheck.org calls Barack out on his false and fearmongering ad aimed towards the elderly.
Annenberg’s FactCheck.org, hardly a right-wing organization, has this to say about Obama’s new ad, in what they call Scaring Seniors:
A new Obama ad characterizes the “Bush-McCain privatization plan” as “cutting Social Security Benefits in half.”
This is a falsehood sure to frighten seniors who rely on their Social Security checks. In truth, McCain does not propose to cut those checks at all.
The ad refers to a Bush proposal from 2005 to hold down the growth of benefits for future retirees. Compared to the buying power of benefits paid to today’s retirees, that would not have been a “cut” for anybody. It would have been a “cut” of half only in relation to benefits now promised to retirees who have yet to be born. And for average workers, that “cut” in 2075 was projected by one of Obama’s own economic advisers to be 28 percent, not “half.”
The ad also says McCain voted “in favor of privatizing Social Security.” The term “privatizing” could give the wrong impression.
This is the kind of “change” Obama is bringing to Washington….more of the same. Some think he just touched the third rail.

I have noticed that Obama is oblique, never direct. The fact that Iraq is not related to 911 is not an answer to the question. Though oft repeated, it is irrelevant. Georgia is not related to 911, either. Who said it was?

Obama could have more specifically answered the lady’s questions but he was not yelling at her in a disrespectful manner. It needs pointing out often that 911 happened during republican administrations at the federal, state and local New York City levels. Surge or not we had no business going into Iraq and we should not be there now.
The tone of the ladies voice was confrontational and thank goodness Obama let her know in no uncertain terms that he would act tough and protect the security of our country. What is it with republicans? 911 happened under their watch! We are embroiled in two wars, and are more unsafe than ever! Where is Osama Bin Laden?

Where have you been for the last eight years? EVERY single item listed in your list (with the exception on the Black Church) has happened under the dictatorship of the Bushes. When Bush rented the Oval Office for his moronic son, this country had a surplus for the first time in how many years? And, after eight years of Cheney & his puppet, George W., we have an unbelievable deficit once again! Our people are losing everything ..jobs, homes, family members in an invasion of a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. Why are we there? Bush’s backers wanted their oil…and they got it! The Bushes & McCains are right…their economy is in GREAT shape! Bush’s daddy is super rich & McCain married a very rich wife, after dumping the one that wasn’t rich enough to rent him the White House for four years! McCain & Pain will put this country so deep into the hole that the Bush family started that we will never pull out of it!

Only braindead liberals would use the argument, “9/11 happened on the Republican watch”. The first WTC attack, the Egypt embassy bombing, the Cole, all happened under Clinton’s reign – which is equally irrelevant. American are hopeful, loving people who didn’t realize that Muslim extremists wanted to kill us in a jihad. We should have known it – and Clinton should not have cut our military and CIA – and we should have listened to many that anticipated the attacks, but no American could have prevented it. How can democrats not understand that the war is necessary? We are going to be at war for hundreds of years to come in order to combat the extremists, because they are hard to find, are not just sitting in one country — Iraq is a significant piece of the puzzle, as is Iran, Pakistan, etc. Use your brains folks, and stop listening to the brainwashing media. Interesting fact you will never hear: the medai spews out “we spend $10B monthly on the war” — this is only 4% of our GDP, merely a drop in the bucket, plus American companies make some revenue. The loss of life is always significant — but just ask them, we are fighting for our freedom.

I am so tired of reading comments from people who constantly blame their government and leaders for their own plight. The world is on a cycle – stock or housing markets go up and down, recessions happen soon followed by thriving times again. Your individual sucess is due to YOURSELF, not the government. This is the best country on the EARTH. Republicans and democrats have different ideaologies, simply stated. They can help guide the country through the normal cycle, but they don’t dictate whether an individual will be successful. YOU DO THAT. Take responsibility for your own sucess and failure!!!!

Funny thing is that from 2001 through 2006 America enjoyed the largest expansion of the stock market, the financial market, the housing market and the unemployment rate nation wide was the lowest in history. Come Jan 2007 and the left wing know nothing, do nothing, democrats took over congress (as a result of lies by the democrats) and the bottom fell out of everything.
The facts are out there if you lefties aren’t too stupid, or too mentally retarded to look and read a little. I suspect that 99% of the democrats are in need of mental health care which matches several university studies which found that 47/48% of American are or should be in mental health care or locked in a mental facility. The conclusions of the studies almost matches the number of idiots who vote democrat 100% – maybe 1%.

There is a definite net gain of jobs under Bush. We have been on a downturn though admittedly. But, most people attribute them to the Democrat control of Congress.
