Obama: “You might think it’s Barack the bomb-thrower. But it might be Barack the guy running for president.”

From LA Times’ Andrew Malcolm:

On Monday in Michigan, Obama became exercised when talking about the need to give even suspected terrorists legal rights.

“We may think this is Mohammed the terrorist,’’ he said at a campaign rally, but “it might be Mohammed the cab driver. You might think it’s Barack the bomb-thrower. But it might be Barack the guy running for president.’’

Continuing, he got more heated, his voice booming. Referring to the Constitution, he said: “Don’t mock the Constitution! Don’t make fun of it! Don’t suggest that it’s un-American to abide by what the founding fathers set up! It’s worked pretty well for 200 years!’’

He finished with a sigh: “These people.”

Where to begin…

OK, so is this a statement about “racial profiling?” Does he think that foreign terrorists should be subject to the full yield of Americans’ constitutional protections simply because someone, somewhere may have been “mistakenly” picked up as a terror suspect on a foreign battlefield in the company of lots of other terrorists? Is he demented enough to think he can convince Americans (or does he think you are stupid enough to believe) that there is any chance of him being brought in as a suspected terrorist simply because he has a “funny name?” Or is Obama so stupendously brilliant that he is using this as a strategy to “bait” us all into quoting what he says so he can then accuse us of linking him to terrorism because we are racists and xenophobes who can’t handle a presidential candidate with a “funny name” (“Did I mention he’s black?”)?

“Mock the constitution”? The only ones mocking the constitution are those who have recently invented the idea that foreign terrorists, having never stepped foot in this country and by virtue of nothing else but trying to murder Americans outside of our borders are due all the rights guaranteed to American citizens under the United States Constitution. Obama is Mocker in Chief.

Senator, no one is accusing you of being a “bomb-thrower.” You leave that to your friends.

H/T to LGF for picking up this Bizarro World statement.

The Left believes heavily in the living constitution. Heck, only 29% of Barry supporters believe that Supreme Court decisions should be based on the constitution

The Vapid One is a lawyer, after all. And how do lawyers make money? In court, of course.

How do they make more money? By being in court more often.

How many lawyers do we have in Congress?
    A bunch.

Do they have a vested interest in bringing terrorists into the American legal system?

    You betcha!
