Obama On The Lipstick Remark (Now With Video)
The Messiah is discussing his lipstick remark. Rather then say “whoops, I messed up. The way it is being portrayed was not what I meant. I’m sorry.”, Barry is blaming the McCain camp and the people who were offended, and talking about distractions, “we aren’t discussing the issues that are important to you,” yammer yammer yammer.
“These are serious times that call for serious debate..” Like lipstick on a pig, Barry?
Eh, tuning him out, same old stupidity. Will wait for the transcript from the Credentialed Media later. Probably video.
Actually, no. He said “so, spare me the phony outrage.” In other words, you people who are offended can just go (blank) yourselves (sorry about language, but, if you saw Barry’s face while he said that, you would agree that is the only way to put it)
“That’s the type (upstanding) of debate we deserve.” The type that includes lipstick on a pig comments, Barry?
More: a full quote
“Spare me the phony outrage. Spare me the phony knee talk about change,” Obama said at the beginning of an education event in Virginia. “We have real problems in this country right now. The American people are looking to us for answers, not distractions, not diversions, not manipulations. They want real answers to the real problems we are facing.”
Distraction. Diversion. OK, here is a real question, Barry: You are a massive supporter of corn based ethanol. Since, in reality, it is heavily inefficient, uses tons of water and land to produce, drives food costs up, cannot compare to gasoline for energy output, harms the ability of the poor, and middle class, to feed themselves, and some reports even state that it will add more greenhouse gases to the atmosphere then using gas in auto’s, why do you support corn based ethanol, Barack H. Obama? You talked about hardships for the middle class during your missive this morning, Barry. Corn based ethanol causes hardships.

Senators who truly love America don’t vote present as often as Obama did. Sure I question his patriotism: he thinksit’s a gimme.
A quick question. I was just reading the text of the speech B.O. was giving when he made the “lipstick” remark. You do relise he was talking about McAmnesty’s economic plan and not about Palin right?
Yeah, as much as I don’t like B.O, I have to say that I agree with what he said about “phony outrage”.
I don’t really question Obama’s patriotism. I question his motives, his character, his choices, his ideas, his ideals, and his plans.
Ron, yes, Barry was speaking towards McCain’s economic plan, but, he found a way to work in some snark, some red meat, for his base, possibly off the cuff. What Senator Neophyte did not consider was the backlash. And in politics, perception is reality.
Obama is constantly talking about any thing negative about his policies being racist. So, apparently he is allowed to make smears himself, but no one else is.
Anyhow, words don’t matter, do they? This is the type of gaffe a rookie makes, not a guy who is running for President.
William, this whole election has been about
“gaffes”. It is rather funny.
I don’t think B.O. should get away with all the crap that comes out of his mouth, but for me, if I were voting for either of them, and making my blog a centeral theme for one of them, I would try and stick to the issues.
One thing I find rather amusing is we have the Manufactored Left’s “Political Correstness” vs. the Manufactored Right’s “Political Correctness”. Has anyone noticed this?? You have the Left crying racism every ten seconds, and the Right whining about sexism.
When did Republicans start playing identy politics?
McCain has become quite the politician since he got his party’s nomination… he has proven time and again that his strategy for winning is based on personal attacks and distracting people from the main issues
