It surprises me that even these simple political strategies from both parties create such seperation amongst all of you. Everything that is done in a campaign is a political strategy. That is why it’s called a political campaign. I agree with many of you when you say we as Americans need to come together to help our country, but you have to ask yourselves are you falling for the politicians marketing strategies that rely on the public becoming so hostile to concepts that they should be actually trying to resolve. America was founded on many principles, but the most important principle is the freedom of speech and ideals. So, when someone says we need to come together and support only the ideas that that person supports, then that is devisive and lacks the basic fundamentals that this great country has been founded on. I have personal beliefs that I feel very strongly about, but I will never shut down someone’s right to speak or believe just because I disagree with them. Remember the actual truth of the situation rarely exposes itself on TV or radio. All 4 people involved in this election are impressive people, some have better ideas than others, but they are ALL POLITICIANS. We must as citizens become more savvy to the BS that flies from our political system. My 2 cents!

Biden is a good man. He’s humble and honest and will be an incredible Vice President. I have no doubt that he and Obama will bring our jobs home, protect our ports, and restore our once respected place in this world.

I can’t believe people are falling for John McCain’s games. You would think that the American people would be smarter than this….I have no doubt that Hillary would have been good for either position…however I feel that Obama made the choice that was best for our COUNTRY not his campaign. Clearly he would have slid into the Whitehouse if he had chosen Hillary, but this is not about Hillary, it’s about AMERICA. This is what Biden means. Listen, other countries HATE us, we are HATING each other and our goverment, people are losing jobs and homes, crime and gas prices are sky rocketing. we are still losing innocent soldiers and preparing to send more somewhere else. We need to take care of home and keep our nose out of other countries business, at least for a while. McCain thinks that people are so ignorant that people would vote for a woman just because she is a woman. My Life and those soldiers lives are not worth playing games with. Tell me… WHY are we still in IRAQ? Those people had nothing to do with 9/11. Tell me… why do the gas and oil companies need tax breaks? People should admit that McCain would not have chosen Palin if Obama had chosen Hillary. There is nothing about her or McCain that impresses me about changing the way America is now or changing the way other countries view us. PEOPLE GET SERIOUS… AMERICA SEEMS TO BE IN TROUBLE and if we don’t come together and make a real change NOW it may be too late in the future. No…she is not qualified to be president or vice president, Oprah doesn’t have to have her on her show, and yes if you put lipstick on a pig it is still a pig. And no Obama nor I were calling Palin a pig. (If you were not going to vote for McCain before he added Palin to the ticket, tell me how is dressing up his ticket with a female saying the word change now change his belief and policies. It doesn’t and you know it!)
And while we are focused on Palin, lipstick, African American vs. Female issues….We need to realize that other countries may be watching and seeing this as a chance to attack. I love my country and and if you love your country too you would vote for OBAMA. Most people can’t take four more years of this!!!!

Obama’s meeting with Bill Clinton today might have been a discussion about Biden voluntarily standing down in a very public display, and literally introducing Hillary as the best choice for VP on the ticket. Unlike the disgraceful removel of Thomas Eagleton from the 72′ ticket. Biden’s comments today may have been a prelude to such a ‘back room deal’, now in lieu of McCains pick of Palin. NOTHING would surprise me! Also,Bill sounded off today about how Obama would win BIG TIME on Nov 4th.

I would hope that defeating sexism is about picking the best person for a job, be it woman or man, not picking somebody because she is a woman, especially one with views like Sarah Palin.”

Obama’s pick of Joe Biden was not in poor judgment. Obama made a decision based on who would best work well with him as VP based on experience, ideologies, and personality. McCain made a political decision, rather than a “country first” decision. By political I mean framing the political narrative in which to court the conservatives and their values (pro-life, pro-gun, pro-drilling, etc.) and picked Palin because she was new, therefore could bring enthusiasm to the base, and best of all, was a woman, which could help to bring in the so-called “bitter” Hillary voters.

Obama is not sexist. He did not pick Hillary because they could probably not work as well together as he and Joe Biden, not because she is a woman, but simply because of individual personality traits, which again, has no relevance to her being a woman.
If Obama had picked Hillary as his VP, do you think McCain would have picked Palin? Nope. He had the advantage of the RNC being after the DNC and could make a decision based off the Democratic VP decision. He saw that Biden was picked, and decided to pick a woman because of it. Well, now after seeing McCain’s VP pick, Obama has to react to that decision, seeing how everyone is so effusive over a woman being picked.

This should prove to the American people Barack Hussein Obama uses BAD JUDGEMENT ! Obama should have picked Hillary as his Vice President. The reason he did not choose Hillary is because Obama is sexist. He would have difficult time working with a woman ! Obama should never underestimate the power of a woman and considering half the voters are female a balanced ticket is a plus ! This also proves that John McCain was brilliant selecting Sarah Palin and he is the one who uses GOOD JUDGEMENT ! We all need a President and Vice President that uses good judgement. I am in shock that Biden would even make a statement that Hillary would be better Vice President than him. Makes him look like he lacks confidence and that is not good ! Sarah Palin exhumes confidence which is what we need as Vice President ! McCain/Palin is a powerful ticket ! I am an Independant and know how I am voting!

Wonderful Joe, as Obama is wasting valuable time in trying to “recast” and “redefine” the opposing VP pick , you come out and tell the world that he made a poor pick in not picking the best pick.

Don’t worry Joe, what you said came from your heart, it is what every other American already knew, which brings up the last question, it is a statement that no VP should EVER make but it was you who made it, so we understand.

If Obama somehow wins this race, are we as Americans going to be content when it comes to the economy,education and health care….that we don’t get the best in everything?
