Jaime, that's exactly what I had in mind. We just need to go there. So thank you. Of course, not all will agree with us on this and that's ok too. It's just a matter of applying the biblical truth all issues, not just the most glaring ones.

Machine, which Paul and where?

As a Christian myself, I understand your heart on this subject, and you are right to call into question our consistency on this issue. Christians have been on the front lines in recent years in the fight for "traditional family values," and have worked tirelessly to counter the feminism movement that encouraged mothers to stray from their primary biblical responsibility of "training up a child..."

However, that does not mean that women belong ONLY in kitchens and nurseries...just that they should not abandon their primary responsibilty to their children and families. Women are capable of raising children and participating in public affairs. Don't forget that there ARE biblical examples of such women, including the lauded "Proverbs 31 Woman", who provided for her family and tended to her many business responsibilities. There are others, like Deborah, who was appointed by God as a judge of Israel. Hebrews 11 (the great "Hall of Faith") mentions many women who were instrumental in the perserverance of the nation of Israel or the proclamation of Christ as Saviour. God uses women, too, to move history. Only time will tell if Sarah Palin (like Esther) was put in this public position "for such a time as this."

Just my two cents....

You're kidding, right?

If not, suggest you read Paul on the subject.
