"AdrianS
The Honorable Governor of the Great State of Alaska, Sarah Palin, has the admirable qualities to be either or both vice-president or president of the United States."

The whole decline of America is in that phrase, poor Adrian S.
The mere fact that FRD and JFK nation could
envision a Palin for president marks the sheer
decadence of the US.

It's a pity…

Good day...just stopping by!

I don't see how any president can do much of anything + or - about the economy. I'm still waiting for anybody-somebody to explain exactly what Bill Clinton did to make such a great economy-I'm sure President Bush would do the same thing. But there is no magic wand. At best, Congressional and Federal bureaucrats do have an effect on the economy through regulation. Also, I didn't get rich under Bill Clinton, and know of no one who did. I guess if you say something long enough and loud enough you'll believe it.

Look at FDR. He came in when the Great Depression was going on. It was still going on years later and didn't end until we got into World War II. Blaming President Bush for the current economic situation is like blaming Hoover for the Depression. The difference is, Hoover didn't act like he gave a darn but FDR did act like he cared and made it clear he was doing stuff, no matter how ineffective it was, but people liked the idea someone was looking out for them.

FDR is one of the Democrats often mentioned along with JFK, though it's odd they rarely mention Johnson and Carter in their speeches-or Clinton not too much either. FDR was the model administration for Social-Democrat Socialism, that's why I think they adore him.

I believe a vote for Mr. Obama may indeed be a vote for Socialism. But, if that's what the American People decide they want...

Obama is damaged goods for a variety of reasons. I think people are tired of Obama's lies, his obfuscation of the issues, his own self-ingratiation, his sealing of his personal records, his grotesque abortion policies, his obnoxious associations with communist, socialist and other anti-Americans, and did I say Obama's lies.

Palin has in 7 days eclipsed Barack Obama in popularity and genuine public acceptance -- no theatrics. Palin has found favor with the American people because of who she is. She has done much of what Obama only talks about. Obama just today said he could have enlisted in the military. How quaint. But no cigar.

And, Sarah Palin has more level-headed executive experience than both Obama and Biden. She has proven her worth and dedication to her constituencies.

Its the hype created by this totally unqualified VP pick, things will change. She has no credentials no matter how much they pump up the air. McCain's campaign is being run by lobbists, I just saw the list that was published a few hours ago and I was actually stunned! They will not win, once the hype settles downs and the issues get debated they people will see what is actually at stake.
I am speaking as a republican, and I will not be blind sided into making singel issue decisions for a repeat of disaster! Also, I just read that they are polling people who voted in the last 2 elections, Obama's big slot of voters are new voters and those who haven't voted in years.
Don't despair keep plugging they can't win on fear and lies. Like someone said this is not the republican party of our parents this is a different animal. Based on the look of things at the St. Paul convention - a very monolithic party! Sad but true!

Things aren't going well, and historically the incumbant party would be thrown out (whether or not they are responsible for all of the problems or not).

However, I think McCain/Palin might actually pull this one off.

Just my two cents, but the Democrats need to move to the center, and quit nominating far lefties if they ever want to win the Presidency again.
