Demoted – MSNoBodyCares Removes Olbermann & Matthews From Anchor Chair

I sense the heavy influence of Tom Brokaw in the NBC News decision to nix caustic anchors Keith Olbermann and Chris “I have a tingly feeling” Matthews. Especially since Bill O’Reilly called him out on ‘The Factor’ the other night. Tensions between flagship NBC News and their cable affiliate MSNoBodyCares have been elevated lately especially since Howard Wolfson publicly called out the Pro-Obama media.
MSNoBodyCares announced that Olbermann and Matthews would be relegated to “analyst” duties and David Gregory would be assuming the anchor chair for the election and debates.

MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election.
That experiment appears to be over.
After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.
The change — which comes in the home stretch of the long election cycle — is a direct result of tensions associated with the channel’s perceived shift to the political left.
“The most disappointing shift is to see the partisan attitude move from prime time into what’s supposed to be straight news programming,” said Davidson Goldin, formerly the editorial director of MSNBC and a co-founder of the reputation management firm DolceGoldin.
This news must have the KOSsacks and the Dummies of the Underbelly* up in arms. Their brand of hate filled slanted “news coverage” is at an end because the public has caught on to the agenda driven slant. Tom Brokaw and serious journalists see their “profession” being dragged into the mud and they are not happy about it. Soon we should see this bleed into the print media, what we call the dead tree media. As newspapers across the nation continue to cut staff due to the expansion of internet based news and the alternative media. The bias at the New York Times, LA Times, and others has been the real cause of the drop in circulation. NBC saw the poor ratings and made a change. Perhaps the dead tree media will see the dropping circulation numbers and wise up as well. But, I won’t hold my breath.
The MSM sees this election as THE election that they get to decide. It is bad enough that the Republican Nominee was selected by the New York Times, who by the way, has turned on their pick in order to support their real choice for President, Barack Hussein Obama.
I guess we won’t have to hear about Matthew’s “tingly feelings in his legs” anymore.

If that is true gene with no link, then why in the world do I get so PO’d at the libtard nonsense that is spewed by Democrats that they interview in their attempts to be “Fair and Balanced”? MSNoBodyCares is so overrun with Daily POS Dummicrat Underbelly types like you that there isn’t any question. MSNoBodyCares took a risk thinking that liberalism was the wave of the future and it blew up in their faces. Error Amerika is tanking and MSNoBodyCares pulled the absolute worst ratings during the Conventions. Why would anyone in charge think that their lineup is succeeding?
Although it is not like I expect an answer out of gene with no link because his comment is obviously a trolling drive-by jab aimed at discrediting a more reliable news source than the hate filled vitriol that gene with no link obvioulsy enjoys watching on MSNoBodyCares.

They are meant to be lame and if they make you mad than you should go to a real news source….try CNN. I am an independent, by the way. If you think Colmes is a Democrat or a liberal, then you had better check out the real ones; he is a lightweight. I hope you don’t lose any sleep over this. And by the way, when Fox has debates with political figures they take junior political figures from the democratic side and put them up against the senior political figures from the republican side. Fair and balanced? At least as an independent, I can go to MSNBC or to Fox for the complete opposite. They are the Bush network and you know it.

And what does it matter to you gene with no link that Olbermann and Matthews are being demoted anyway. If you are truly independent (which I’m on record as saying does not truly exist) why then would the demotion of two caustic individuals concern you? Oh I know, you just wanted to hijack a post because you don’t have a forum of your own. This is why I enforce a standard at my site that requires commenters to have a site of their own in order to comment. No wonder I more often than not close comments on my posts here. As I stated, I go back and forth between Fox and MSNBC to get all points of view as I truly am an independent, and yes, we do exist. It means that you listen to all sides of the political talks and choose yourself. You must consider Joe Lieberman an independent, right? Probably more your style though. To me, he’s always leaned way over the line to the right.
Olberman and Matthews don’t particularly bother me, I just think Fox noise should discipline theirs, and should have long, long ago. They were the true voice of the Henny Penny lifestyle we all had to live after 9/11. Whatever their Republican friends say is the truth no matter how far off they are.
