Palinmania in Small Towns and Canada

So, what do those bitter gun and God clingers in small towns think of Sarah Palin? That’s right, they love her and treat her with respect

After a week of public scrutiny that ranged from her daughter’s out-of-wedlock pregnancy to an ethics dispute in her home state, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin accepted her party’s call to the vice presidency and introduced herself to America last night, answering her critics and telling voters she is one of them, “just your average hockey mom.”

Pennsylvanians bounded up and down, waving faux Terrible Towels throughout the speech. Republican National Committeeman Bob Asher called the speech “a home run,” and state Attorney General Tom Corbett called the reference to Mr. Obama’s past as a community organizer “great.”

“I’m a working mother just about her age. I think it’s absolutely fantastic,” said Debbie Shuster, an alternate delegate from Hollidaysburg, Blair County.

The article from Pittsburg Post Gazette was, for the most part, simply a recitation of the speech by Sarah Palin, devoid of the partisan editorializing from most of the Credentialed Media. But, hey, what do they know? I bet the folks working at the paper do not attend any of those upscale parties in Manhattan and San Francisco like the well heeled liberal media does.

Now, when you look at most of the “independent” labeled news sources here in the US, they are decidedly far, far left. In Canada, you get one that is decidedly conservative. And one who has articles such as

Smut-hunting NY Times Limbo Dancing In Alaska

In a 2008 revision of the Limbo dance, the dance often mistakenly attributed to Hawaii but having originated on the Island of Trinidad, the New York Times is proving “how low it can go”.

The NY Times is dispatching a group of its top “investigative journalists”, fanning them across the State of Alaska looking for dirt on Palin and Republicans in a desperate bid to take the wheels off of John McCain’s little red wagon.

How dare the CFP attack the New York Times? Don’t you know who they are?

The subscription and advertising-challenged NY Times is ponying up to pay scandal mongerers to bring them the dirt. All that means is that journalists from the Big Apple will be holed up at the nearest Alaskan bar with whatever scandal mongerers they think can be bought off for the price of a few beers.

You can also add US magazine in to the subscription-challenged category, too.

And don’t forget, Palin is more popular then her nemesis, which the media thinks is the top of the Democrat ticket. Insert juvenile ROTFLOL here.

US WEEKLY GETS IT’S COMEUPPANCE FOR TRASHING PALIN Publications and media sources like US Weekly think they can get away with anything with complete impunity. The loss of 10,000 subscribers (and counting), plus boycotts of advertiser’s products should send a message. Now, this same message should be sent to other arrogant and bias media entities … like, CNN’s Jack Cafferty, Daily KOS, Crooks and LIars, Truthdig, Huffington, Oprah, moveon.com … and others. America should let these idiots know that we’ve had enough, and we’re not going to take it anymore!!!
