By itself this flag incident might be no big deal to some folks. And others might argue that we’ve gone too far and turned the flag into a religion. One picture I’ve seen as evidence looks like neatly rolled up flags to be put back into storage or transported to the next event (heck, we use trash bags in our local GOP to store our full size podium flags, because they provide good protection).

But all of that misses the bigger point. Connect the dots. Many — I’ve come to the conclusion, “most” — Democrats don’t understand or care about the philosophy upon which our country was founded. All they want is power to force other people to behave as the Democrats see fit.

To admittedly oversimplify, they don’t like real freedom, and prefer a nation of order and privileges such as safety blankets and other government largess. History has shown the unrealistic nature of this goal. But if there is any chance of making their sad dream a reality, it requires a byzantine network of rules. And yet they act as if the rules don’t apply to them. They want to “save the world”, bring “order out of chaos”, and in so many other ways set themselves up as gods (so, of course they think the rules don’t apply to them) through their proxy, big government.

In short, they just don’t “get it.” They don’t get what this country is about. They don’t get the principles which make it great. Instead, they have such a condescending opinion of people that they prefer to force folks to their will by government fiat (which is to say, by deadly force). And since they don’t “get” our country, they don’t respect it.

In other words, the recurring flag incidents are just part of the ongoing pattern of lack of respect for the USA and what the USA is about. It’s part of an ongoing pattern of their lack of respect for humankind.

At it’s most elemental level, that’s YOU they’re throwing away. People who understand that are the ones who are maddest.

But don’t stop connecting the dots yet. That’s YOU they want to “recycle.” To Democrats, we’re all Soylent Green.

Think that’s too strong a metaphor? Why stop at metaphor? Democrats are the party with the record of treating humans as commodities. For much of their history they were the party who advocated slavery. Now they advocate the treatment of conceived but unborn humans as commodities. What’s next? After all, of our two major parties the Democrats are the fascist one, and have been since their founding.

Most people who have or take the time to honestly research political parties understand all of this. But there is only so much time on TV, and only so much space in the papers.

So it’s simply, “Democrats trash the flag.” I’ll say it with a clear conscience, because they have it coming.

Perhaps Obama could have averted this unpleasantry by giving his Bots little flags depicting his rising sun symbol. After all, he painted over the American flag on his plane to display his symbol in its stead.

As a retired Army veteran, this treatment of the American flag makes me ill.

McCain has been telling and creating lies for years…The flags left behind were the property of the DNC…the worker at Invesco Field in Denver that found the flags should have reported his finding to the Invesco Field Management Team. I have worked events for years and things get left behind…we are called and the property is picked up or forwarded. This man stole this flags if he failed to report what he found to the people that own the flags. So McCain accepted stolen property and used it to create a lie. When property is left behind by the people running the event (Democratic National Convention) the people at Invesco Field should have reported their finding to the Democratic National Convention. How can the DNC property be turned over to the RNC without notifying the DNC? This sounds very…very…very strange to me…

The management team at Invesco Field had responsibility of reporting to the DNC that the flags were left behind…

The flags were stolen by Republicans and forwarded to the RNC…

I am an event planner…I know that this is just not right….I hope that Americans can see through it….

McCain and his fools have turned this election process in a 3 ring lying circus that thinks Americans are stupid….
