Just A Thought…..
I heard on the news that Bristol Palin was 5 months pregnant and going to marry the father. I fully expected the left to start hyperventilating about “not sticking to values” (kids after marriage) and was all prepared to see the vitriol flying. I found it amusing to think about the left in twisted knickers over this, calling someone a hypocrite because they advocate the sensible way while not giving a rats patootie if their children had spawn by the dozens, by a dozen donors and thinking it’s ok because they don’t consider it a bad situation.
Imagine my surprise when I saw this at KOS:
Let’s show some respect here about what Bristol is going through. Yeah, so Sarah Palin advocates abstinence programs, but lets remember Bristol is a real person and none of us would want our children put under the spotlight like this. Any “political gain” can find its way without us in individual voters’ families – everybody will hear about this news. I posted this diary to put the rumors to rest.
And yes I linked them. I figure it’s positive reinforcement. Treating them kindly when they actually act kindly is the way to show them kindness, if you’d be so kind as to accept my reasoning. Finally I can say “good job kos-kid….good job. Maybe you have a shred of humanity after all.

But then look at the comments.
A great many comments fall into the “unfit mother”, “slutty teenager”, “ignorant fundies” categories.
While it is nice to find some decency over at KOS, it is the exception rather than the rule — and overshadowed by the comments.
You should have looked at it sooner before they added that highlighted piece……before that it matched the trashy comments.
Truly….positive reinforcement is the LAST thing they need. A spotlight is more like it….as they are just trying to run for cover now that their messiah has spoken…….
