Daily Kos should get a Lie of a Lifetime Achievement Award for this

Posted on September 1, 2008

“I’ve known liars in my life. Their single core problem is not with themselves, but those around them. If they’re never called out on their twisting of truths and fabrications, they simply continue to make larger lies.” – ArcXIX, Daily Kos, Aug. 30, 2008.

Allow me to help you overcome your “single core problem.” As one of “those around” you, ArcXIX, I simply have to intervene — consider yourself “called out.”

Everyone knows that the agents of unity and tolerance have gotten themselves into the defamation business. In a nutshell — Gov. Sarah Palin’s daughter is actually the mother of baby Trig and Gov. Palin orchestrated an elaborate cover-up of her teen daughter’s pregnancy by claiming Trig as her son.

The post that purports to “expose” the coverup, ArcXIX links to a Palin family photo that ran in the Anchorage Daily News March 9, 2008. Underneath this photo is the firm declaration: “Bristol is pregnant in these pictures.”

Oh really? Amanda Carpenter covers this at Townhall and provides another link to a Sarah Palin photo gallery, which includes the same photo presented as damning evidence by ArcXIX. Czech out the first sentence of the cutline: “Sarah Palin at home with her family in Wasilla, Alaska in 2006.”

Let us do some math. Trig was born April 18, 2008. If the photo in question was taken on the very last day of 2006, the minimum length of Bristol’s “pregnancy” would have to have been nearly 16 months. Last I checked, human gestation was approximately 40 weeks. The other photo displayed was taken in 2007 and shows Bristol looking very much the same as that 2006 photo.

Obviously, this is a pack of vicious lies by people of ill will and low character. What this says about Gov. Palin is actually positive — she is so rock solid that her enemies need to dredge the lowest muck pond of falsehoods to dent her. Not gonna happen today, Virtual Brownshirts.

I’m an undecided independent voter, and I’m sorry but there might be some legs to this story. That is why journalist, and the national enquirer are off to Alaska, and thank god for the national enquirer exposing Edwards. Either way daughter out of school, daughter wearing a ring on her wedding finger when they announced Palin. Sarah Palin is already under investigation for her abuse of power by trying to fire a state trooper, who just so happens to be her ex brother in law that was in a custody fight with her sister. People in Alaska have been saying it’s Bristol’s baby for a while, but no one cared because no one cared about Alaska. Sarah Palin could of easily covered it up because she can’t afford another scandal, especially since she believes in only abstinence, and not sex education. We should EXPECT our teens to be abstinent, but we should ALSO educate them. Bristol is the real JUNO! CNN reported when Bob Barr was being interviewed that McCain didn’t properly vet Palin because he was trying to keep it very private, and not let the media catch on… but that just blocks the proper vetting because they would have seen her being under investigation, and seen that Bristol is the mother. If she isn’t the mother, then it’s poor judgment on Palin to decide to continue to give a speech for the RNC in Texas while leaking fluids, and then hop on a plane back to Texas. Her own staff has gone public and said they didn’t even know she was pregnant. You should compare Sarah’s other pregnancies to now.

    Anne, you are aware
    that Bob Barr is an
    opponent of McCain,
    aren’t you? I don’t think
    anyone could convince the new
    Palin-Haters that she is
    anything but the devil incarnate.
They are a complete waste of time.
This election will be decided by
    Average Americans, Sarah Palin’s
“special interest group”, not Leftist nut cases, some of whom still believe Bush attacked on 9/11.

You mean, you HOPE there might be some legs to this story.

Now that we know who all of the players are going to be, no one with more than a room temperature IQ is “undecided”.

And, “Sarah Palin is already under investigation for her abuse of power by trying to fire a state trooper, who just so happens to be her ex brother in law that was in a custody fight with her sister.”

    Also debunked.

I think that diarist is a disgraceful piece of [editing], but to be fair Kos and the main bloggers keep backbruning those diaries and they aren’t jumpin on them. Most of the commenters on there are pissed off at the diarists too. Maybe I’m wrong but does Kos approve these diaries before they’re posted or are they like a journaling site? If not, its not fair to blame him.

Right-wingnuts putting their fingers in their ears and humming once again when confronted with yet another unethical, hypocrytical Republican Presidential ticket. Let’s see what we have on this ticket….McCain of the Keating Scandal, adulterer, who abandoned not only an ailing wife, but also every position he held in 2000 to just to gain power and fame. Talk about selling your soul to the devil. Palin…first national candidate who claims PTA president as a qualification. Abused power as Governor. Lied about bridge. Lots to clear up about the Palin baby factory.

    Hey Carol and Anne —

You just keep up this line of attack and we’ll see how effective it turns out. The lies and the hatred will catch up to you, you can bank on it. It seriously doesn’t bother you that this Koster posted pictures as “proof” when the timeline doesn’t comport with the accusation?

Freedombella — Kos allows the forum under his watch, so yes, he is fully responsible for the irresponsible content posted. That site is notorious for banning commenters who don’t align ideologically, so how can the site be given the benefit of the doubt re: its diarreah-ists?

I’m more horrified with the McCain vetting process. Pawlenty and Romney were credible and vetted three ways to Sunday. Kay Bailey Hutchinson and other women could have been easily vetted. Yet all kinds of stuff is coming out within 3 days of his Palin pick.

What is McCain’s position on the Alaskan Independence Party? Palin was a member. She was against the Bridge to Nowhere” before she was against it.

A very public vetting is what’s going on NOW - reporters are crawling all over Alaska. Wait till state and local government offices - with records - are open on Tuesday. Wait till all the multimedia is collected from the TV and radio stations. Wait till the Alaskans have a contact to send tapes, letters, files, and photos to.

DAILY KOS ARE SCUM BAGS !!!
All you small minded people who are crucifying Governor Palin over the question of her fifth child, are just fueling a vicious smear campaign. Besides, if you want to exhibit your holier-than-thou attitude … why don’t you get even more angry at Obama, Michelle, and their children, for spending 20 years in an anti-American racist church, as well as associations with Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers, Rezko, etc.. These facts are much more relevant to the next administration, than the possibility of a loving mother taking the heat to protect her child and grandchild.

The left wing is so viscious that they defy description- while hiding behind the “well, the Republicans are mean people” banner. In the 50s-70s (pre roe v wade and the pill), 17 year old girls were pregnant ALL the time. Mother Nature gets in the way of all that planning. My husband’s mother had to get married- and he turned out just fine. As many of his generation and mine did. Pallin is a mother- and we moms protect our kids. So what if she is 17? In colonial America, she’d be old- and 1 in 3 brides in the 1700s and early 1800s were pregnant and young when they married. No one much cared as long as they GOT married. All these damn hypocritical liberals with their panties in a knot- THEY are the ones who promote promiscuity and then act surprised when someone young has sex. It’s a tempest in a teapot because the real issue is why this young woman wasn’t on birth control- but even that is just NONE of your business- it’s not like she’s an intern and the baby’s daddy is the president. AND to those of you who think it is a mothering issue- were YOU a virgin when you got married- or just too ugly and mean to have a real boyfriend before you turned 18? Was that YOUR mother’s fault? Idiots.

This is all becoming a smear campaign from the Daily KOS just as they did to Hillary Clinton they will now try to do to Sarah Palin. I don’t know a lot about Sarah Palin at this time, but what I do know is more and more she seems like a normal American with normal American problems. She might just be more in touch with the needs of the majority of us than any candidate in recent times.

this is way beyond smear…at some point all this circumstantial evidence leads to somewhere…just like the Edwards story…What are the odds that Bristol be out of school for 5-8 months at precisely the right time? Have any of us been out of school that long? Why would no one know Sarah was 7 mo pregnant? A work colegue’s preganancy was announced way before that especially with all the liability involved (like 3 months). And usually they take a month off and come back part time for an extended period…let’s not burry our heads in the sand…2+2=4

I believe Barack Obama took the high road, as he has throughout this campaign, and condemned all personal slurs on the family of Gov. Palin. He declared that he thought all family members should be off limits. And I agree. This campaign is about very serious issues that effect every citizen in this country deeply. We are fighting two costly wars, neither of which show any signs of being concluded successfully to date. We have serious problems in the area of healthcare, social security, job security, energy security and global climate change. Our nation is running a crushing deficit. Inflation is rampant. The value of real estate is falling in many areas of our country. Many people are paying interest on mortages that far exceed the current value of their homes. Petty partisan bickering and smear tactics have got to stop. We must stop letting politicans fiddle while Rome burns. If we don’t make our government work for us instead of corporations, we will witness a once great nation that took more than two hundred years to build dwindle in two decades.

    DO SOMETHING! VOTE FOR CHANGE!
