Michael Kinsley: GOP = Communists for embracing Gov. Palin

Posted on August 31, 2008

Yeah, this is rich.

Slate: No Experience Necessary

In a famous example of ideological flexibility, the American Communist Party changed its mind completely about Adolf Hitler in 1939, when he signed a deal with Stalin. Previously, they hadn’t cared for him much. Suddenly, he looked pretty good. Then two years later, when Hitler ratted on the deal and invaded the Soviet Union, the Communists changed their minds again. Both times, it took only days.

But now, thanks to the Internet, the same kind of conversion can take place in hours or even minutes. And although it’s hard to find many Communists around these days, we happen to have just the party for the job.

So does this mean that the Democrats are the NAZIs in this story? Or are the NAZIs the Republicans who don’t like Gov. Palin? And should those GOPers be concerned about being airbrushed out of all CPAC group shots? Is this Red-baiting McCarthyism?

Please don’t try to convince me that Kinsley is considered by anyone to be a serious thinker. He has written the same column one-thousand-and-one other Obamorons have written after being slapped senseless by the far-more-qualified-to-be-president-than-Obama Gov. Sarah Palin. Clearly recognizing he has nothing to say, he drops both NAZI and Commie references (applied to Republicans, natch) in his first sentence. It kind of makes you think of the red-faced little brat who purposely urinates on himself just to make sure he remains the center of attention.

I don’t know why the opinions of Communist are even considered. I completely believe Communist in the GOP is why the GOP has been abandoned by those whose purpose the party was devoploped…the people.
Communist need to repent or find the Country of their choice and move there to live out you political view.Do not envade Ameica and its organizations with any heart than for the US Constitution. Its what gives you freedom not Communism.

Ummmm… I’m not sure what Nathan said, but it IS hilarious that commies and Nazis are calling US commies and Nazis.

    Talk about uncontrollable projection.

Funny how you simpering party hacks completely ignore Kinsley’s central argumnet: conservatives and the GOP cranked up the critique of no experience to attack Obama then threw it out the window for Palin.

This is rank hypocrisy and despite about a dozen conservative pundits howling in outrage at the betrayal, the conservative movement as a whole has abandoned its prior principles and fallen into the new massline.

Its obvious for all America to see, even Charles Krauthammer, but it hurts, hurts, hurts too bad for you party simps to admit it.
